The idea is awesome. I was able to do a bit of playtesting and I have to say that the deck is solid. I will be fine tuning the deck a bit and I've found that it's really easy to get 6 types in the grave, so I'll be trying out a single Emrakul.

Also I would try madcap experiment out. I play it as a 2 off and it feels great to hit a hulk. I've had limited testing but so far I've dealt between 1-5 damage testing, but it hits super hard.

Unlicensed disintegration is the real deal. It's great removal and on occasion you will get the 3 bonus damage. It's a mandatory 4 of for me.

I will be doing some more tuning tomorrow and after my standard tourney, I'll have reports along with a decklist.

I've decided that Arlinn has lost her spot in the deck after this week. She feels like a less powerful Gideon at the 4 drop slot and producing a token.

This week I went against 3 decks. Not overly eventful, but I have a few details to share.

    Vs. Devil's goggles

This matchup was really close and came down to having all my radiant flames and being able to play my orbs of warding both game 2 and 3 to make the deck pretty much useless. Turns out just putting in 2 orbs for tutelage and goggles burns, they actually have more uses.

    Vs. B/W Control

Game 1 was an Ob Nixilis mirror with nothing happening on either side until he dropped a sorin, ultimated Ob and from there it was pretty much it.

Game 2 I was able to get Gideon and Chandra out without much interupption and he quickly conceded/

Game 3 I was on a mulligan and couldn't get a black mana source to save my life. He was able to trangress and duress my hand fairly quickly.

    Vs. Grixis Control

Game 1 We were both on a mull to 5. I dropped Gideon and he scooped so he wouldn't reveal much of what he was playing.

Game 2 Went back and forth, but came down to me not having a removal spell for the fumarole which was able to hit me multiple times.

Game 3 Oath into Gideon, which he followed up with kalitas and dark dwellers. Double Ob Nixilis was able to wipe out both creatues and by he was unable to stabilize once Chandra hit the field.

Overall, the deck is running really solid and I've been putting a lot of work into this deck to figure out what works. The deck feels like its nearly there and with 7 MB sweepers aggro decks have been less of a concern for me.

Yea I only threw Nissa in because I was short on planeswalkers and do plan to remove her going forward.

I was iffy on oath of chandra, but I really wish I had it when I was playing. Gideons oath was solid and allow for a bit of chump blocking as well as allowing ob nixilis to control the board better, but Ill prolly change the oaths. I do have a chandra and a seasons past on the way. I feel like 2 MB chandra should be sufficient, but will look for a 3rd.

In my current meta the majority is humans and 4C rites. There have been a couple random one ofs like the u/r googles but everything is extremely aggro, which is why im upping the flames count.

    I do appreciate the feedback.

This is the deck I built and took to a toruney tonight. Went 1-2-1. Didn't have a second Chandra or Sorin so I went with a Nissa and 2 Kalitas. Definitely enjoyed trying out the concept and will be making some adjustemnts for next week now that I have some familiarity with the deck.

A loss and the draw were totally due to some play mistakes and not being able to find a sweepr, so adding in 3 should be able to fix that issue.

After messing around with the deck for a bit, I'll be adding in some more field wipes. I didn't have too much issue with mana other than keeping a couple of greedy hands that didn't work out.

Behold the beyond wasn't a terrible card, but it always felt like giving the oppoent a time walk to finish the game the next turn or fall to whatever I grabbed.

This is my plan for the time being.

    - 2 Kalitas
    -1 Nissa, Voice of Zendikar

    + 1 Languish
    +2 Radiant Flames

I just stumbled on this deck in my search for a planeswalker deck and am pretty impressed, definitely wanna sleeve it up and will give it a try. The primer is solid and I look forward to unleashing some superfriends.

Ran my tolls last night and performed very well. I went 3-1 taking down affinty the first round, boggles the second round, losing in a close 3 games to infect, and easily beat burn in the 4th round.

I didnt see melira and only had one in the SB, but will be doing 2.

So i've played some matchups against burn and it is really rough. Does anyone use any SB cards for them specifically? Is there some anti burn we can use efficiently?

I've ran thing in the ice as a one of and whenever i've gotten him, it doesn't take too long to flip him and end the game out. The feeling of being able to send out snapcasters to bolt or terminate just to get some advantage, folowed by the horror awakenining and sending the snaps back to your hand is just dirty. I know i want at least a second one in the deck.

The deck is pretty budget. There may be fetches but they aren't necessary. How budget are you looking for it?

I was curious on the thoughts of rune snag vs. mana leak. I've been using the leaks but have access to rune snag. I do see my opponents bring in SB graveyard hate alone just because of Snapcaster and Tasigur so I'm curious how many people are running rune snag. I also only do 3 leaks and would imagine you would want to do all 4 snags.

Yea normally I do but it was just a thrown together SB since my Ashioks didn't arrive in time. It will have some significant changes for the new rotation since next week is prerelease for me instead of modern.

Here's my build which I will be adjusting after last nights Modern Event. I went 3-2 and posted the reults below with a summary of the games.

    Round 1 vs Infect 2-0

Game 1 2x forked bolt and anger of the gods followed up with snapcaster made him scoop it up.

Game 2 was even shorter with anger of the gods and izzet staticaster. Keranos, followed by Cruel ultimatum to seal the deal.

    Round 2 vs. B/W Eldrazi 1-2

I will be glad when they address the issue of the eldrazi.

Game 1 was a slew of mimics and skyspawners feeling the anger of the gods. But the reality smashers and a 9/9 endless one were able to finish the game out.

Game 2 was pretty brutal with a lot of early pressure agianst me with a lack of removal, snapcaster and Tasigur were able to hold back a couple creatures, but not for very long. A timely damnation was able to let me stay alive at 2 life and follow up with Nicol Bolas, who took control of the game with an empty board. The opponent followed up with drowner of hope without reading Nicol Bolas. I took the drowner and the game.

Game 3 I mulliganed to 6 with a terminate, anger, snapcaster and lands. I was thought knotted on turn 2 and my removal was taken. I drew another land and he followed up with relaity smahser and that was pretty much it.

    Round 3 vs. Kikichord 2-0

Serum visions with 2 forked bolt and terminate too away his early game. With nothing but lands being drawn on both side, his raging ravine came smashing in for a couple of times. I was able to draw into lavaclaw reaches and traded away the lands. I followed up with the ultimatum to gian control. Next turn he drew a land and I dropped Nicol Bolas. I was able to Ultimate Nicol Bolas easily and the concession came once he read the ultimate.

Game 2 I opened with 3 snapcasters and 2 terminates. I drew another terminate and started snapcasting terminates. The game was short and quick. He was extremely salty wiht 7 terminates hitting in one round.

Round 4 vs Melira Combo 1-2

This is a game I shouldn't have lost. I decided not to SB in my 3 Cages because I thought 3 anger and counters would be enough. I was wrong. ALWAYS stick to the SB plan.

Game 1 forked bolts, with mana leak, cruel ultimatum followed by Nicol Bolas made it an easy fight.

Game 2 he was able to combo off while I was stuck on 4 lands.

Game 3 was much of the same as game 2 getting stuck on 5 lands. I was able to buy time by snapcasting anger of the gods. But I oculdn't get anymore tempo and was quickly overwhelmed by back to back companies.

    Round 5 Vs Abzan 2-1

Game 1 was slow with a board stall of Anafenza the foremost vs. Tasigur. He started dropping lingering souls and I was able to anger but he had the playset and was slowrolling me. Pia and Kiran came down to wipe out the last souls and I was gaining tempo but I was finished off by a rhino.

Game 2 he brought in his disruption suite and went to town on my hand but was unable to captialize on it. I dropped Grave Titan and we went back and forth for a bit. I was fairly outplayed by rhinos but damnation was a timely draw with me at 2 life. I followed up with ultimatum to stabilize my life total and recover. I followed that up with Nicol Bolas and it was over fairly quickly form that.

Game 3 I was hit by 2 inquisitions and a thoughtseize back to back. It was crippling but once again he had no followup. I was able to take over fairly easily termanting and counterspelling threats. I was able to drop the ultimatum and follow it up with Bolas once again. I stole his wilt-leaf liege and finished him off by snapcasting back the cruel ultimatum for the concession.

    Final Thoughts

I do need to get tar pits and will replace the fumaroles with them. I was tempted to put in some Thoughtseizes but wasn't sure if I should or not. Pia and kiran are ok, but I always chose to side them out. I also could use another sweeper but I lack a 2nd damnation. Thoughts on Crux vs. Languish. I'm leaning towards Crux since there are some really big butts in modern. The 2 ultimatums and a Nicol Bolas feel like a high end but even when I opened with 2 in hand and kept, I was never far behind and was able to catch up most of the time. I alsoonly got close to time during one of the 5 matches so I don't feel like time will be an issue with control.

Overall I love how the deck plays out even though it feels like it does need a bit of tweaking as I would love to take it to SCG states in a month. Any critiques and criticisms are welcome.

I may have to try them out, I mainly use a g/w shell and only have the blue for counterspells postboard, but I may try geist and teh charm out.

I also totally forgot about beast within to be honest.

WIth O-ring I just like to have removal and extra sacrifical enchantments due to possible dromoka's command. D-sphere prolly is a stronger choice, with a bit more mana restriction.

    Here's my list.

I've tried the knight of the reliquary, but meh. I do love a second Sigarda though. I do need to bust this deck out again. I had to give it a break because everyone was too aware of it. I do need to find a way to keep cryptics and flickerwisps from bouncing worship. I forget the hexproff for enchantments. I would keep worship at 4. I like to have a couple on the field in case something happens.

I do use the mystics because I don't have access to the heirarchs, but otherwise it runs pretty well.
