I'm all for building whatever deck you want, but I shied my friend away from slivers as those decks tend to play themselves for the most part. If you can find an interesting sliver build though I'd be happy to see it.
I usually switch when I wanna play something different or get bored of a specific deck. There is no real "right time" to switch, just whenever you feel like playing another deck.

Oath is easily one of the worst sets I have ever played in limited (Started in Innistrad). Shadows may have a hint of nostalgia bias, but I liked it overall. I had a blast playing Aether Revolt.
Good to know I'm not the only one who prefers the old Avacyn art. It's not bad, but not as good as the original. Homeward path is looking pretty good though.
I think the price of the fat packs did get jacked up above MSRP though just because they were in there. The individual prices were still low, so in reality the increase in fat pack prices made no sense. Would love to see them in packs, but who knows. They might be Program only for all we know.
I wish they would make all fat packs have full art lands that way if people want full art lands of a set they can just buy a fat pack and the people who hate full art lands can just get their lands from booster packs.
Wasn't that a concern during BFZ that if all the bundles contained a FA land pack that they'd be price jacked and hard to find? I would love to just have FA lands instead of the half lands, but I thought that was one of the reasons for it besides WOTC wanting you to buy all the packs.
The art on the gurus is beautiful as well, but I don't feel like selling all my internal organs to get my hands on a few XD. Curious to see the art on these lands though.
Apparently my memory is terrible. I remember MM15 being terrible and doing some quick mtg stocks search, EV of MM13 is great. Still I have been a bit underwhelmed by MM15 and EM so here's hoping this fares better.
If they honestly would bring the price down on these packs to a regular MSRP level I'd be more inclined buy a few packs or a box if I felt especially fiscally irresponsible, but when a pack is over double the price of a normal pack and printed in a limited run fashion who exactly are you trying to help? It doesn't cost any more to print that cardboard than a main line set. The EV has always been pretty bad for these sets so as much as I'd like to love the set (My commander decks are hungry) I usually buy a pack for the lulz and then never look at it again. Hopefully we get some kind of info to change my mind, but I doubt it.
None pulled here. I've been to a couple prereleases of BFZ, 1 Oath, 2 Kaladesh and 2 Aether revolt and a bundle of Aether and no such luck. I did get an Ajani Regular and Promo as well as a foil Tezzy and Heart of Kiran, so i can't be too upset. Though if anyone pulls the plat angel I will be super jelly XD.
First deck i played was one my friend threw together last minute for a 2 headed giant event that his partner bailed on a month before Innistrad came out (Learned Magic Basics in 3 hours), First one I put together was an Innistrad Draft that i did (I power leveled at the beginning Pretty sure it was G/R aggro), and first permanent deck is the Kaalia EDH precon I got day 1 that I modded over the years.
Mostly an EDH player now that I have 10-11 decks built for.
The Pokemon TCGO team definitely has that system down and their TCGO is really well done. Magic could learn a thing or two from them.
On Topic I have noticed prices starting to creep downward, which is great for lowering the barrier to entry in my opinion. $20 walkers haven't been a thing for a few sets now barring some exceptions.
