One deck name i recently came across is 'stryfo pile'. It's really weird, since the deck's "inventor", stryfo, apparently doesn't call his own deck that (or at least thats what he said in an interview i was listening to). Really bizarre.
I still think though, that a nonsensical name like stryfo pile or nicfit or strawberry shortcake or solidarity is still nicer than just a boring/too-descriptive name like 4-colour control or BUG control.
It happens to be though, that it’s world enchantment-ness is the biggest weakness of the card. I’ve seen players hold up concordant crossroads to hose it.
But you def can’t beat the cool factor of it either!
I’m generally not very into creature decks, and I can’t think of a better creature hoser!
If I were you though, I’d make sure you have an actual wincon somewhere. It’s easy to have a decent way to cheat omniscience into play, but without an actual wincon, it’s gonna feel like you had just fizzled out. I did that once with my zedruu deck.
it ends up making you the archenemy if th e table, and it’s not very fun. Just saying.
I don’t completely understand what your opponents mean, but as long as it says “target”, then you’re safe. Even if it says target opponent and not just target player. It it says each or every or choose, then hexproof doesn’t help.
Hexproof and shroud are generally good. It shuts down a lot more effects than players generally give it credit for. Zedruu, for example, would have a hard time dealing with donating stuff. But in general, as long as you don’t have a very fragile deck, it’s not completely necessary.
Could be fun, and infinite rats comin back!
I might be tempted with something like the abyss.

It’s not up to date, but gives you an idea of how it plays. Basically, dependent on your opening hand, you have To plan the early game, and try to accelerate the process as much as possible.
Cards like pains reward are amazing. I usually start the opening bid by paying 1/3 of my life. It really gets the game spiraling out of control at that point!
Oh yea. I’ve not yet managed to do it, but one day, I plan to use Kaervek's Spite as a wincon.
so in that case, everyone wins.
Like some other posters have pointed out, it’s probably not designed specifically for that one general.
In fact, I’d guess that cards from standard sets are only designed for standard. But if it’s possible to twist it to make usable in edh (like just Adding a “each opponent” instead of target opponent), then they’d give it a real shake.
Anyways, I don’t really see it as being so problematic. It’s an old hame with many moving parts. It’s gonna happen, and I don’t think anyone in wizards is that genius-brained enough to figure stuff at this level out to be deliberately ‘planned’
Zedruu - voltron. So the idea is to have 1-3 cmc auras that boost and protect zedruu. Then donate them to the opponents. Things like bravado that when donates to a tokens player can make zedruu go from lame to kill-on-sight. It’s really fun, but immensely hard to win with. It’s also fun trying to choose the right players to donate cards to.
Rakdos the defiler - so this deck is possible to win with, but it’s insanely hard to do so. The idea is suicide RB aggro. It’s the deck I whip out if I wanna get a game in under 45 mins. Even if I lose within 20-30 mins, I’ve usually done enough damage/destabilized the game enough that it ends soon after. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who had not enjoyed playing against it, since it’s the opposite of what most people build (value-to-the-max).
RB suicide aggro
UG goodstuff
I dunno beyond that.. I’m not sure any mono colour decks would have a typical expected archetype. I have a mono white combo deck for example, and mono u aggro.
I guess this should be moved to the rules subforum..

I guess it’s for the best That I learn from y’all pros who’ve been at this for ages. So keep em wisdom nuggets comin!
At the moment though, it does feel like way too many slots are taken up by colour fixing. 43 of 360 is 12% of the cube and 90% chance one will pop up per 15 card pack.
And this isn’t counting the moxen (5 original plus diamond), lotus (black and petal)!
It feels like my cube has the most powerful low-curve spells around, and no real creature power to carry it through.
I think I’m gonna have 10 fetch, 10 abu duals, 10 shocks, 10 painlands, and possibly 10 filterlands om too of city of brass, gemstone mine and reflecting pool.
And you believe 35 x 5 would be a good place to be, right? So that’s gonna be another hit to the budget! Ah wells.
I’m currently updating cards on cube cobra when I find time. I’m at like 40 cards uploaded right now.
