The problem with Relentless Dead is that there are 3 other BB spells more important than it, having that many BB spells in your cube was a huge drag for me.
Doesn't really do anything that a typical black aggro card can't already or wants to do. I don't want to sacrifice my equipment and I'd rather have something evasive, or a discard outlet.
My initial gut instinct says that I'd rather play Rout, but that life gain is no joke and will probably be more relevant than instant speed wrath. Definitely cube playable, I still play Akroma's Vengeance but if I were to switch that out it'd probably turn into Catastrophe, but this wouldn't be a bad option either.
Being able to turn a Swords to Plowshares back against its caster's board seems pretty great, and having the option to just flat-out counter big spells like Wildfire also just seems generally useful. But, 4 mana is a lot to hold open, and I just don't see it being part of a winning plan all that often. Strikes me as more EDH than Cube.
My thoughts exactly. It'd be really nice to have a cubeable redirection / Fork effect. While the versatility is great, you're essentially paying double for what each mode is worth (besides Misdirection). I can technically cut Clever Impersonator for this, even if it's just a test, but I really like Imperosnator....
I think Emrakul, the Promised End put the nail in the coffin for Mindslaver to ever have a chance of re-entering my cube. I think it's too expensive for an effect that can be wildly inconsistent.
This. It's extremely hard to justify Mindslaver without access to multiple Goblin Welders / Daretti.
I can't stand wearing anything over my head, my hair is too baller to cover up (this may or may not be a lie). I'll only wear a hood or a beanie if it's raining or I'm going to spend an extended amount of time outside during the worst days of winter or if I'm shoveling the driveway.
Misdirection can lead to a lot of two for ones, it's nice to have it strapped to a solid mode like Counterspell. Fork can lead to some pretty funny situations, but that will probably be the least used mode.
Something something uncommon, something something peasant.

"Needed to cost one less" seems to be the theme of this set.
For the sake of discussion, let's pretend this cost 5.... Would it be the black 5-drop we've been looking for?
