Because I was basing my read of him off of what's happened since I replaced in. Spent the time reading his ISO today and find myself torn between "it's Rodemy" and "could very likely be scum". If it means avoiding a no-lynch I'll vote him but I'd still prefer GJ or Manasi. Problem is deadline is right around the time I'm waking up and getting ready for work/getting my son ready for school so I won't really get a chance to check until an hour or two past deadline. I'll be on again before I go to bed in the next few hours but in case nothing changes(or I pass out early): Vote: Rodemy
@Dota I know GJ is your preferred lynch today. It's not happening toDay. Who else are you willing to lynch?
@Vaimes what inferences do you draw from Manasi and Rods weird top town reads on each other?
If not GJ then Manasi would be my next pick. Townreading Kami since forever, you and Rod are leantown reads and I need to reread Vaimes but haven't gotten a scum vibe from what I have read.
I will never understand what that "Oh your TCM" thing meant, especially when as vaimes said, he just ends up right back on me afterwards.
Thing is it looks forced. If any other player had been the one to point out to kpaca that you previously played under the moniker "The Cold Monarch", I would probably never have even picked up on it. But the fact that it's tom/kpaca made me look into it a bit deeper. It's a great way to give the appearance of being unaligned, and if only one of the two had flipped you could have ridden that to endgame. But with both flipped it's a very suspicious looking interaction.
From a tom ISO standpoint, for a large portion of the early game (going as far as when I I replaced in, 1300 posts into the game), he lists kpaca in his town reads and you/kami as his scumreads. There are multiple posts from him with the two of you right on the bottom of his list, but other than a short lived vote on you he never makes the attempt to get you lynched. He goes hardcore after Kami though, and was on all three mislynches, but he never actually makes a case on you. On D3 he changes tune and suddenly you're in the middle of his reads, he says because of the Vez flip but this is after he gets caught by Wuffles. And then you're suddenly locktown when kpaca flips red. Looks more like damage control to keep a buddy alive rather than an evolving read.
@Shadow: I don't suppose it's possible to get a 3 day extension due to the unreliability of the site over the past week?
I don't have a lock town read on Rodemy but I think there are better candidates to be lynching today. e.g. GJ
Tom/GJ/kpaca have several notable interactions throughout the game but nothing ever really comes of them. Tom parked a vote on GJ at one stage but never pushes the read and then just jumps over to Anak when the Fuwa wagon gets to L-2. Struggling to pull quotes from the three, even just copying quotes out to a word doc is a chore when the site bombs and doesn't allow me to access it again for 30-60 minutes at a time.
Because it's from 50 million years ago and if it was scum interacting with scum I don't know why they wouldn't have done the theatrical "ohhh" moment then.
Plus if GJ was Kpaca's buddy wouldn't he have poked him saying "pretending to reevaluate because you know who I am now isn't believable because I already said we had a history"
Dota. My dude. The site has been hot garbage and sapping my motivation. But that is not a reason to vote someone at this point in the game.
Like sure GJ could be scum but if he is than I don't have any idea what his plan is today because he's making it much harder for himself than he needs to.
Can you clarify why I'm wrong to be voting GJ for that interaction?
Come back form V/LA and spend a day and a half of repeated attempts to access the damn site
So I was thinking that Johnny might just be lockclear for the "kpaca didn't know he's TCM", but after going back and rereading that interaction it's tom who brings it up after Johnny brings up that he and kpaca have "had previous run-ins". Almost looks orchestrated. ESPECIALLY SINCE IT STATES IN GJ'S SIG:
"THE USER FORMALLY KNOWN AS THE COLD MONARCH"
Further to this, if you look right back to the beginning of the game GJ makes this post implying that they have a history:
Sorry I've been so absent, things a bit rough on my side at the moment.
V/LA until next week Tuesday.
@Rod: In answer to your question, I've was suspicious of Grape back when I first started scumreading Tom, but after rereading I realised that what I thought I'd caught was incorrect. Doesn't mean Grape is now suddenly town in my book but it's made me doubt my read which is not a great position to be in.
I've been rereading Grape's ISO and I'm talking myself out of my scumread of him.Does the discussion between Grape and D_V about tom where Grape defends tom as a townread make sense if they were partners? I realised now on a second readthrough that I made an error in my assessment of Grape's readslist. Tom wasn't in the middle of the pack but was in his townpile, so Grape defending him wasn't at odds with where he was on the list. I'm probably just overthinking things here, my gut says this is scum!Grape(and it was right about tom so...).

Vote: Tomsloger, with no Joat it becomes even more likely that Wuffles was right about blocking Tom.
