What is the ruling for this? I thought it would not recognize the backside of the card. While paying arena cube I was able to play the MDFC green bolt land from the top of my deck.

I recently tossed out a thread and it appears many people are not happy with the way the RC approaches the banned list. Now after this whole walking dead fiasco it is clear they are making a lot of people unhappy.
Its a crazy idea, I know it would be extremely hard to manage this but what if the community could come together and make our RC, meaning our own banned list (done via voting through straw pull or something like that). The common idea is this is a community driven format, let’s make it that. We can just rename the format EDH-community format?
Again just spitballing this idea. Not trying to get people fired, just seeing what our opinions are.
I’ll give Sheldon and his group a little credit for promoting the format in its hay days but I seriously doubt they were a huge contributing factor to the popularity of the format.
Either way I think they need to take a look outside their tiny metagame
After watching some videos from SCG with Sheldon is anyone else particularly bothered by their reasoning? To me the rationale is “in our small play group we found this to be true”. I find it extremely disturbing that we have the rules committee basing their decisions off an extremely extremely small sample size.
Here are some of the videos in particular that raised some red flags:
If you wanted to support this I think the obvious go to is the Heroic cards from original Theros block. I don't think any of them are impactful enough to really a vintage/legacy cube. It would be interesting to explore this in a lower powered cube.
I think the proper comparison for this card is Murderous Cut and I believe this a good reason to consider this card. It cannot go upstairs, but removing a big key blocker for the rest of the team to get through is very very valuable. The cost reduction is so huge on this card. Curving this into a haste creature is a huge tempo swing that I can see happening. I would be very surprised to not see this included in most cubes
I like this archtype idea, it gives the big uncastable creatures another home other than Sneak/Show and reanimator decks. My main concern is how much you need to commit to this strategy without taking away from the other archtypes. Red is the main home for this, would adding these in dilute the already existing archtypes you have?
Hey man props to you for trying to get your little on into magic. Future planning here, I like it. Have you considered maybe a pauper cube? Very cheap, complex enough while also a great entry point
It gives green some good game. The extra mana to make it an instant is worth it. Styling on them using it on a trample creature will make a funny story
The versatility on this card is pretty sick in limited. While it does suffer from being to do direct damage to the player I have found some pretty sick creatures synergies that work with the token. Does not make vintage but can make it in lower powered cubes
I've played with this card in the MTG Arena cube and seen it in action in the vintage cube. The arena cube is lower power level, but I have to say it did feel like a solid answer. In vintage cube it seems like it has many many many great targets. I think it is worth considering. The only thing holding it back is what place will it take?
Any cube (which is most) that does not have a limit on planeswalkers needs to definitely definitely include this card. It has other uses, which is great, but its great to have a card that can answer planeswalkers and go in any deck. I think it will still do well in cubes with a limited number of walkers due to its versatility
E.g. Khalni Ambush
