    Any cube (which is most) that does not have a limit on planeswalkers needs to definitely definitely include this card. It has other uses, which is great, but its great to have a card that can answer planeswalkers and go in any deck. I think it will still do well in cubes with a limited number of walkers due to its versatility

    If the cube supports hyper aggro red with a good amount of burn I can see this being pretty back breaking. All the one mana 3 damage burn spells are pseudo rituals for this card. I can see this easily being a common double spell turn

    Obviously a very powerful card, I think its more of a matter of taste at this point. Green has a treasure trove of 5CMC or greater finishers. I think this card checks too many boxes to be ignored. While no ETB trigger takes away possible synergies I do think it does it all on its own.

    This rule change is bad, putting it in the command zone is a replacement effect, when something dies it goes to the graveyard.

    I get that it makes certain commanders more playable and it makes it 'easier' on gameplay but changing it just because people were playing it wrong is a really poor reason. The thing that bugs me the most is the rumored rational, "we didn't care and then someone on the CAG thought it worked the other way so we made it happen"

    Hey dude I was also thinking of doing something like this. I agree with removing unplayable rares and fetch lands. I think trimming the unplayable cards makes room for the duplicates you would want to support more archtypes. I definitely think you should modify the number of gainlands. I would keep the trilands at one each because their rarity compared to gainlands.

    The great part about cube is you can make it anything you want. I know people have mentioned the common/uncommon cube. I've seen people make Modern cubes because they don't want to deal with the super expensive RL stuff. I personally built a Frontier cube because most of my collection was comprised of those cards. I actually made the cube because I wanted to find a use for my rare that didn't make EDH or constructed.

    I think the flexibility/inevitability of this card is worth noting. Flamecaller has some really nice synergies but I don't think its a stretch to consider this one as well. Two removal effects WITH the plus effect putting it at 8 counters on the turn it comes out is nothing to scoff at. I think it is a different style of finisher.
