pain seer is NOT as good as Bob, calm down guys.

I do see him being good with xanthrid necromancer in a B(x) Human based aggro deck.

    Phone post, sorry for typos.

    Tournament report.

    Top 4.

    First game v.s Affinity.

He comes at me really hard but lifegain and removal when I needed it have me the win, second game he got an amazing start and I had play catch up, double suppression field wrecked his game plan, eventually we went to time. 1-0

    Second game v.s GB rack.

At first I was scared of his discard but I realized squadron hawk helps with filling my hand with stuff that I can pitch. He goes a Lotte crazy but chump blockers help me stay alive and my fliers widdled him to death. Game two, rest in peace was basically GG.Pridemate + warden eventually got me there. 2-0

    Game 3 v.s Jund

Was a struggle to overcome his card disadvantage most of the game but luckily I got the God draw and turn 2 had my ascendant online. It went the distance. Game two another RIP made all his gofys deathrites and scavenging ooze totally dead. I think honor of the pure and a squadron if hawks got him.

    Game 4 v.s Jund

Game one he just went off with the thoughtsieze and Liliana and Bobs, so much card advantage it was over before I had a chance to set up. Game two I boarded in 3 rest in peace and 2 suppression field. We both mull to 6 and I can't get any really threat going after he kills my honor and I have to chimp his gofys with my tokens. He plays his whole set of Lilianas over the course of the game as well as 3 gofys and 2 oozes. I just keep recycling martyr to stay alive in front of his 6/7 gofys. He keeps up the removal and pressure via creatures, and after 80 damage and a bazillion turns I can't do anything and eventually die to a 8/8 scavenging ooze. I never saw a single SB card the entire game.

I was particularly upset that I lost 0-2 to a deck I had just beaten 15 minutes before 2-0. Also, the person I would have played in the finals was the affinity player I had already beaten that night. Needless to say, this was my first chance to take 1St place at a mtg tournament ever and yet again I was Stuck with 3rd place and no payout.

I'll edit this later to add changes id make and other opinions I have, but for now, Goodnight.

Another Wednesday another modern tournament with Soul Sisters. This week? 3rd place.

First round bye. Second round 1-1-1 against jund. We went to time due to my martyr recursion, and couldn't draw a single Rest In Piece that I sideboarded in (3) to stop his goyf, deathrite, scavenging ooze, ect. I went 2-0 vs selesnya midrange. Ascendanta ftw.
Lost 1-2 to splinter twin. Game there kept a one mana hand with triple SS, martyr, acendant, honor, and ranger. Now I could have dumpted the SS's to stop his combo, but I went the aggro way trying to get my acendant online asap and beat his face. Which I did. When I swong for lethal he flashed in the tapper and untap splinter twin. So GG there. Lesson learned.

Really looking to sideboard Suppression Field. It just rapes other tier one decks. Fetch lands, splinter twin, planeswalkers, deathrite, scavenging ooze, spellskite, eggs are all nerffed. Definitely want the 3 off SB
