Anybody open their's yet? The box is surprisingly compact.... compared to other 24-pack sets... Kinda wish the others were more compact they take up so much room on my shelf!

Mine didn't have the Tamiyo planeswalker pack in it. The one I wanted the most. Frown

I called both HasbroToyShow and Wizards, and after some mutual finger pointing, Wizards will be sending out a replacement to arrive within the next few weeks.

The whole experience was a mess. I guess that's not much different from past occurrences; however, this was a bit product with a huge shift in terms of distribution.

Maybe they should have let Amazon fill the orders, after all what's the point of ceasing distribution to LGS and letting Amazon do it if Hasbro can't handle a mere spike in traffic?

Every system inside Hasbro website and customer service were overwhelmed. They clearly didn't put any effort in this. They should have expected that as they barely can handle SDCC orders.

I completely agree. Is WotC that out of touch that they didn't see this product being the type to sell out very quickly? A lot of people who believed that they had successfully ordered the product found out that they didn't actually get it, even though their bank account was charged (the charges are later reversed). I had to order the product three times before it finally went through, even though I got a confirmation order the second time through.

It's no longer 2001, and Wizards/Hasbro can't act like they have any justification for these type of website problems, even without the launching of the Mythic edition. There is no excuse for the massive technical problems the site experienced today. They'd better be prepared for the Ravnica Allegiance Mythic Edition. After today, there's no saying that the traffic levels were unexpected.

I went to the website to try to see what this "exclusives" page was, and when I just tried to go to the main page, I got this message:

So yeah, they should really get their website up to snuff before making it the exclusive place to buy such a heavily-hyped product.

Sultai with Hatching Plans here we go!

But yeah, it's nice... not too sure I like the restriction on her -3, but heh... she can kill Ixalan Jace.

I guess Induced Amnesia is the way to go in Standard?

The card is underwhelming. The +2 is really bad/do nothing on an empty board. The -3 played it way too safe; they could have made it "CMC 4 or less" without making the card too strong.
Ultimate is good, but they're making all of Vraska's ultimates slight variations on one another.

Finally, a card that can turn Nicol Bolas's ETB ability into a potential drawback for the caster.

This has some great synergies with History of Benalia. You can swing with the Knight tokens, and still convoke with them since they have vigilance.

The price is ******* ridiculous right now Frown damn

The high price of this card demonstrates more than ever why the Masterpieces needed to be in the boosters of the set, rather than just some prepackaged whale lure from Hasbro direct. The card would have struggled to exceed $6 for years. Now it could easily stay at or above ~$20 during it's time in Standard, and could get even higher in the years after the set rotates.

I know that no rares have gotten that high for awhile, but this is one of the best -- if not THE best removal spell ever printed. Instant-speed, destroys anything for BG. The land consolation prize may not even matter to many decks that play very few basics in older formats. The card will be played in all formats until better removal is printed -- which may be never.
