I'm trying out a mixture of Blue Moon and the Possibility Storm combo. I haven't had enough playtesting to determine if it's good or not. It feels decent at the moment. I lose Vedalken Shackles though. I love that card. If only there was a 0 cmc creature that wasn't an artifact.
Doing some testing and I found that it falls into the issues that bogles and infect has. You have to mull into a creature. I actually added a couple spoils of the vault to sure up this flaw, plus it plays extremely nice with Death's Shadow. I will keep testing though. We may not have enough mana for this, but opinions on Storm Entity?
Frenetic Sliver Is a card I think should be tested out. Its 3 cmc, which isnt so great, but adds redondancy to it.
I also think this deck really wants things like spell pierce and thoughtseize
Edit: many of you might not remember or were in the days of counter slivers. Since diff. sliver wants the deck to be in a more tempo area of old, heres my take.
We got at least two players in the premier event. Myself and Alakhai84. We both have made top 8 in a premier before so hoping for some good results. I got the bye round 1.
Putting to much into it? Putting the should to the wheel is how you make progress.
Speaking of progress, we (sliver decks) can also runn Birthing Pod. It will be a good way to progress ouer slivers forward.
sacrificing one sliver to get another sliver out is exactly the opposite of what slivers want to be doing as an archetype.
This is true, unless you're sacrificing a Sliver with an effect you can live without or if it's a double with a non cumulative ability. You'd keep Sinew and/or Predatory, but maybe you could pitch a second Galerider to get another bonus that stacks.
At the cost of 2 life, a creature, and 4 slots in a deck. That's not worth it IMO

Birthing Pod requires a chain. Most of the slivers are low costed. I guess it would be good for a toolbox but there is better cards for that than slivers IMO.
Ok, a massive brainstorm while I was watching Battlestar Galactica.
The Manaweft Sliver and Gemhide Sliver function as a Sakura-Tribe Elder until it gets killed. It unlocks our potensial to play more exspemsive spells. Can a desent controll deck use Gifts Ungiven? If the early slivers give us mana we can use the gift as a poor mans Fact or Fiction witch was awsome in it's time. Getting counter spells, creature removal or some good slivers would be nice. We can even pull off Sliver Hivelord + Unburial Rites.
I think you are putting too much into it. KISS is an awesome mindset to have..
I guess what ever sliver deck we end up building venom sliver will be good in a sideboard vs creature decks. It can combines not just with striking sliver but in particular bonescythe sliver and thorncaster sliver. However a hidden gem might be cautery sliver with deathtuch. It can make headacke for combo creatures as pod and kikijiki.
Bonescythe sliver and syphon sliver will also lead to a ridicules amount of life. Unfortunatly two of the best decks in modern pod and splinter twin do not care about life total.
I feel like the curve needs to stay really low. I think striking + venom is too cute to rely on consistently with all the removal in the format. I feel like Leeching Sliver is a better Thorncaster when we aren't talking about deathtouch. Cautery Sliver seems kinda meh to me. We can't get too cute with the various interactions with slivers. We need pure speed. Lords and Evasion and removal protection gets us there.
With the printing of diffusion sliver and sliver hivelord, slivers got some excellent tools for protection. I think slivers can be a real thing. I'm going to start putting this deck together and testing it out. Perhaps, it is correct to have some painlands in the manabase. I will have to test to see if some number is better than shocks.
Well, now I need to decide on a deck..
Anybody want to help me test and brew some jank?
People would not expect a white counterspell. That's for sure
I think Frenetic Sliver is not needed anymore with the printing diffusion sliver.
As for the list, I love me some meathooks. I think remand would be better than the swan song in the main. Maybe some cavern of souls as well.
What is everybody's opinion on military intelligence out of M15? I feel like we need some card draw.
