If we had to pick one, which would you want in Modern more: Wirewood Symbiote or Birchlore Ranger? I'm thinking Symbiote to bounce Shamans or BBEs or Visionary but the ability to fix mana to be able to cast Shaman and sideboard cards through Blood Moon is really tempting.

Driven to Despair is very interesting. It's costed pretty aggressively so that with the right hands we could wipe out someone's hand while refilling ours on T3 or 4 with a T1 GLP -> Dork, Land -> T2 Heritage Druid + Dwynen's Elite -> 3 Drop or maybe even another Elite, T3 Full Driven to Despair to they we draw 4/5 they discard 4/5.

I agree could replace a sb card or two .

Also I miss your streams bud Wednesday's just aren't the same I need my baad elves fix

Been super busy last couple of weeks and I'm starting to study for the CPA exam as well so not sure when I'll be able to get on a regular schedule if I ever truly ever had one. May try to do one Saturday

Question: whats our best weapons and game plan against Eldrazi Tron and Bant Eldrazi ?

The plan against both decks are to dump your hand and go wide and beat them over the head with Ezuri overrun/Shaman Triggers as soon as possible realistically and you should be favored to do so without much boarding unless they have god hands (Multiple early Engineered Explosives early for Bant or T3 All is Dust or T4 Ugin off Natural Tron for Eldrazi tron). Bant Eldrazi is a little more susceptible to this since they normally aren't trying to go as high over the top of modern as Eldrazi Tron is and are more trying to play the role of a beatdown deck with cursory spot removal with the occasional EE. Eldazi tron doesn't get their big mana as reliably as Tron so it is not as consistantly able to wipe the board with O-Stone, All is Dust or Ugin before you are able to assemble lethal damage assuming equal level hands.

Friend is moving out to LA and there is a farewell dinner tonight. No stream tonight. I'll try to make up for it with an extra long one Saturday. >_<

Went 3-1 at Modern with GB (3 Leads/1 Chord build) last night despite not keeping an opening 7 in any game (Mulls were related to slow no-1 drop hands, not Westvale) last night. Won against Abzan Company, Abzan Elves, GW Tron and lost to Death's Shadow Abzan (was last round so we split prizes and played a 2 games for fun sans sideboard because I was tired and only played the games because he really wanted to get more practice games in).
    Things to note:
    • Ormendahl won me games against Abzan Company and Death Shadow (Only went for it when there isn't white mana up and it would definitely get me the win)
    • Doing Ezuri combat math is important (Newish Abzan Elves player missed lethal 3 times in both games because he didn't do the math on trample damage for overrunning Ezuri activation after tapping elves for mana because he assumed he didn't have enough)
Anyway, ended up having to work Sunday after going to the SCG Open on Saturday so that's why I didn't stream this past weekend but I should be streaming Wednesday so good luck to everyone and hope you join me then!

    Edit: Mulligan clarification

Unsure if this has been mentioned before. Vizier of Remedies and Devoted Druid are pretty sweet together. In the past 2x Devoted Druid and 1x Ezuri on the board have won many games.
Yea, I was having this thought as well. In GW/Abzan builds is it worth it to just add one or 2 of each of those since Ezuri plus that with any of them not being summoning sick = game. Seems like it would be more worth it in the pure GW builds with 3+ Ezuri that don't run shaman but I definitely am intrigued.

Betting this has more to do with the change in the meta away from Bant Eldrazi being the biggest deck to decks with slightly more interaction in Death's Shadow.

Doesn't really do enough Larriepogi. Our creatures don't naturally get to 4 power by themselves fast enough for him to matter, he doesn't have trample himself making him easier to chump block and will often just eat a path to exile before affecting the game in anyway other than eating a turn to cast him. I'm more interested at the Black Monument than I am Rhonis as if I am going to pay 3 mana for something that doesn't do anything initially, I'd rather it be that.

Revoker is also good to name Borborygmos Enraged. Also, Scooze can keep them off the Goryo's Vengeance plan, but basically its a who can goldfish faster kind of matchup and generally they should be able to do that more times than not all things being equal as it is possibly the fastest and most unfair decks in modern but it loses to itself more than a lot of decks as well.

New spoiler; Vizier of the Menagerie
Lets you see and play creatures off the top of your deck. Seems... Actually like it could be a real roleplayer in the elf deck. Lets you storm off really effectively like no other card currently legal in modern & makes your Elvish visionaries twice as good. Also makes coiling oracle twice as good as well.

It's not an elf, but I'd potentially play this card over lead the stampede. I'll have to test it out but it looks surprisingly playable.

    Actual wording is as follows

    3G
    Creature - naga cleric
You may look at the top card of your library (you may do this at ant time)
You may cast the top card of your library if it's a creature.
You may use mana as though it were mana of any type to cast creatures.
    3/4

    Seems good. Seems... Very good?

Yea, if it could be hit off CoCo, its one thing, but that 1 extra mana pushes it out of the realm of viable to be played here.

I think this can be the 4th Shaman in GB builds which would add Glissa as well then.
This is the exact thought I had when I saw it.

I tend to agree with Syreal as Nettle Sentinel has done a lot of work for me but willing to give Copperhorns a shot. Anyone have a good list using Copperhorns? I think I want my 2nd league tonight to use them because I have not played with them yet and want to give them a shot.

Not negative at all; it's critical. Like I said before, this is exactly why I want to stream. I want to be able to give myself and other players as many opportunities to see different lines of play so that we can get better by being able to have points of reference in the future since most of the streamers out there don't really touch elves. Please keep it up.
