ive continued to try to work the mana base and try to form the deck but its just not working for me at the moment. the 4 drop slot is just really awkward as i feel like i really want rekindling phoniex but the doubt red is extrememly hard to manage atm. i will defionitely be cramming some jund monsters after RNA when we have all the shocks but for now im gonna table it.
as for dinos i think you want to stay away from a tribal style build. very few dinos really give you solid value or are worth wile such as regisaur alpha, ghalta, deathgorge, and carnage t. the rest of the dinos are kinda of awkward and either dont provide any real benefit or just dont form well in the deck.
for now im gonna go with GB stompy/midrange
here is a list im working on at the moment for GB that could possibly transform into jund monsters after the next set.
really havent settled on a sideboard yet cause really there isnt a meta to form it around at the moment but im sure itll include things like rain of soot and golden demis and maybe dead weight for aggro
and stuff like duress and arguel's blood fast for control match ups.
So ove been trying with this idea for a little while now and have come up with different variations but I think theres some real merit here for something of the ilk.
You have a great base already with cards like deathgorge scavenger, jadelight ranger, and maybe even deathsoire shaman to set up or present pressure early.
Then you got your big hitters like rekindling phoniex and regisaur alpha, and carnage tyrant with maybe even ghalta being possible.
Your removal is also there AMD good with assassins trophy, cast down, and lava coil.
The mana is the biggest concern but this is why the black is really a splash for trophy, vraska, and sideboard cards like duress and arguels blood fast.
What's others thoughts? I think besides the obvious possible mana issues it could be a contender
I think sultai is likely the early shell for this card. A midrange deck with jadelight ranger carnage tyrant this guy removal maybe light permission could be a good place to start
So I really enjoyed the jund gods deck and was looking for it to make a come back and maybe be competitive on some level. Made a list that's relatively the same as the old list with a few cards changed out to compensate for the lack of attune.
Maro already addressed thisissue and promised that it'll start getting better as we get to the sets where they could put those changes intoo effect so probably I. The next block or two the issue should balancing out
I agree with all sentiments besides the la st rekonings they're there for GB counters and energy and temur energy and any form of dinos. All are hard to one for one with all there big guys and hydra is realized to beat once it resolves which is another option for our deck.
Glint sleeve does seem good but I don't feel we can take full advantage of him here like GB energy can cause the biggest advantage is his menace ability and we owe have no way to a swell him. Deathgorger has been mkinda under whelming in the main so might take them our find room for them in the board and add the tyrants in the main or maybe some noxious Gearhulk which are also awesome with Scarab god maybe even add liliana tomthe main.
Jund aggressive midrange seems good if play Glorybringer main with Regisaur in the board for control match ups. Maybe even play something close go jund gods of previous standard.
i think they're is definitely something there and its kinda cool that they gave us cards like priest as i don't think it's exactly mainboardable but sideboard for the red match up it seems phenomenal.
im sure drover is a 4 of with maybe 2 or 3 channelers as extra dorks. biggest thing is outside lightning strike what ae some more removal options for the deck.
No the new set makes its abit worse. Manglehorn will still see play and hate on it plus Manama spray is a great card against them. It got hated on pretty good with this set. I I think we'll actually see a decent shake up this time
