Ok so i hVe combed over the card and tried to use what minimal analyzing skills I have and have to say this card has to be modern playable.
Yes the mana cost is heavy but with filter lands and near perfect mana in modern hitting colors shouldn't be an issue.
Surely this could be a viable finisher finally for grixis in modern? With things like thoughtseize and IoK to pave a way and cheap counter magic and removal to protect it surely this can make a impact? Coming down and having 4 loyalty and possibly 5 loyalty is no joke either.
I don't know I still feel counterspell is a little to strong for modern. I mean at that point wouldn't you just play 4 remand 4 counter spell and 2-3 cryptic and it literally gives you the ability to lock people out of there early game. You can easily not feel bad remanding stuff until you find your hard counter or a hard removal spell/answer to what there playing.
Plus you just play 4 snaps to make it even harder to deal with.
I feel like it would make it where you play a tribal deck with caverns or low end aggro decks like burn or zoo where you play cheap threats and can play multiple spells a turn or get in under counters.
I thought i seen somewhere that it was gonna be a nurse style plan.
If that's the case though hopefully there isnt gods again I'm kinda over that mechanic/type. Always makes it where one of them is always really good and problematic and the rest are meh.
Nurse style? Oh no, now my imagination goes crazy.
They meant Norse, but that sent me for a loop too.
Surly Orderly2W
Creature- Human Nurse T: Detain target creature. "Settle down now. That's right."

Counter something on 2 or three then just doing it again on 4 for 4 mana and have a bear seems a little to strong for my liking.
Force of will may be "free" but the stipulation or draw back is pretty significant. Go down 2 cards basically and lose a life which is not by any means ubderwhelming in modern.
You also cant snapcaster the no mana cost.
Not to mention there is now 2 bears who hate on force and that's Teeg and lavina. Teeg already sees play in multiple sideboards and I'm sure lavinia will see play in humans
Plus it could be a scenario where the other walkers channeled there power into her to amplify her powers.
Granted that also included the hedrons but maybe they channeled the guildpact into her.
I dunno I'm sure they will explain.
Could play like 4 color or 5 color gates. Play 4 growth spiral 4 route
Summits to net you cards.
Have rams and krasis still. Play the new bolas maybe lilana.
T2 butcher
T3 colossus then thud.
Boom they dead on 3

So what's others thoughts on this?
Bontu, kefnet, hazoret, and oketra
They have been very big on keeping the LD to 3 or having stipulations on them.
The reasoning is it can make games unfun for players as it can keep them from actually interacting and playing the game.

Literall was just diagnosed with PTSD.
Anyways off topic.
Yah I mean there's gods were ok I guess but, scarab god has me quite over the mechanic. Him and hazoret. Both were so annoying to deal with.
😆 yah meant norse
