Might as well combo with Necrotic Ooze. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
Stormbreath is good, I agree, but I'm going to try Thundermaw against Souls.
On a separate note, I think Anger of the Gods will be really good, especially against Pod because of the exile clause. ^w^
Thoughts?

That and the general consensus with Huntmaster is that he's hit or miss. He's either great or underwhelming from what I've read.
...oh, and the art is much better than Thundermaw Iguana IMO.
Also, what about the upcoming Stormbreath Dragon? Better or worse than Thundermaw Hellkite?
(These are pieces for reviewal, some I know I need more of [Bolt, Bob, etc...] but right now I just want to know what pieces are good and should go in and which are poor choices.)

No, I am not building Pauper Jund. No, some of these are not meant to replace more expensive cards (Putrefy =/= Abrupt Decay). I merely wanna know which goes in from what I have. Reasons on some would be appreciated (Rancor, etc.).
Thanks.
I'm building a Jund Midrange deck and am having trouble weighing certain cards. One such problem is manlands. Many decks I've seen use things like Raging Ravine or Lavaclaw Reaches as well as Treetop Village, yet many I've seen don't use Mutavault. Having two Mutavaults myself, I was wondering of the pros and cons of swapping for Treetop Village.
Pros for Mutavault:
- "cheaper" to animate (1 vs. 1G)
- dodges Victim of Night and other like removal
- easier to animate early game
Cons:
- only provides 1
- 2/2 v. 3/3
- no bonus abilities
Input would be appreciated; thanks.
Merged with official Modern Jund primer
