@FlyingDelver
Probably the first list seems more tunned. Also i believe that CB isn't that great G1. I'm playing with 3 of them at my board, since it covers a lot and improves way more the burn match up.
I'm starting to test 2 Tireless Tracker instead kitchen finks and I believe that he'll improve a lot the grinding match ups.
Well, taking bolts out it's purely a meta call for me. At my LGS there's a single DS player, with the Grixis version and he's not that good with it yet. So I not taking them out just yet..I'll have to wait and see hows the meta there evolves.
but if I were attending to a PPTQ, GP or even in a unknown store this weekend, for sure I would remove at least a couple of bolts for more pushes and terminates.
As said before, the reach bolt provides it's no longer needed IMO. Straight kill spell for almost any problematic creature it's way better nowadays.
Despite the recent records, Midrange Jund is still a great choice and for sure won't seize to exist. It just have to adapt like many times before this.
This is the list i'm playing this weekend...My board it's a little bit different from the usual, i'm taking finks out in order to play more Collectives..in my recent tests..finks were pretty sub-par and never a good draw, also it clogged up the 3 CMC slot.
Edit: If I were removing all copies of bolt, probably would do something in this line:
-4 Lightning Bolt
+1 Fatal Push
+1 Terminate
+1 Maelstrom Pulse
+1 Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek -> not sure which one yet.
The exclusion of Damnation was what really got me as well. There are some decks where you need just need sweepers with Damnation being the sweeper of all sweepers.
Yeap...I'm considering 2 copies of each Damnation and Engineered..the later it's so good against almost every deck and Damnation, just sweeps the board away, period.
Yeah, that list got me thinking for a while too.
The main board it's just kill and discard spell and value creatures. Pretty much the typical Jund deck.
The SB it's a little bit sketchy, i don't like all that land hate and i'm torn between Fulminator Mage and Blood Moon, the later seems weak against any Eldrazi and Tron variation, because they can easily play around that card..it's more a catch all against any other greedy deck, such as DS or even some sort of Jeskai/Grixis deck.
Fuminator + Surgical seems a great combo against the big mana decks, but it must be assembled on turn 3 at the maximum I think.
Those big mana decks it's and always will be a HUGE problem for midrange Jund.
Regardless her other options..I miss Engineered Explosives and Damnation, which are huge sweepers and deals with almost every threat, and that's it's my approach against Eldrazi decks..and I'm having a decent win rate against Bant and Eldrazi Tron.
Kalitas can be game winning or a time walk, because tapping out for him and he gets killed right away..it's a huge tempo loss, that's why I think Huntmaster is better, because he generates 2 life plus another body and pressure the opposing side to do anything to prevent him to flip...that's a sensation I don't fell with Kalitas, even if he doesn't get kill right away, I never fell like i'll win no matter what if a untap with him on play.
What do you think about the list posted at the very end? With a little adjustments this list looks intriguing, and I am always a fan of Blood Moon shenanigans, given that it should be fantastic against Eldrazi and DSJ in general.
Main board seems pretty straightforward, and probably I would switch a Fatal Push for the third terminate.
Sideboard seems a little bit off.
I do like Fulminator plus Blood Moon, but i believe that Surgical must be a sb staple for us, and also 3 anger seems excessive and I would swap two of them for a Damnation plus Engineered Explosives or two Damnations.
With the recent DS's decks growing in popularity, is it time to swith Lightning Bolt for Fatal Push?
Bolt is bolt, and the reach it provides it's just great and game winning sometimes..also it can help killing PWs. But it just don't kill opposing goyfs and the Death's Shadow himself. And there's a bunch of other creatures that bolt doesn't kill and pus does with revolt trigger on, I know that this is liability, but i believe that it must be considered.
Or a split between Bolt, Push and Terminate? Something around 3 Bolt, 2 Push and 3 Terminate...what do you guys think of it?
Folks, i have a event this weekend, with 2 MM boxes prize support and with a rebound event which will have another box.
This is what looks like my 75 and I'm expecting an open field plus the usual meta at my LGS, which I'm already prepared for.
Suggestions and tips are welcome!! Tks!!!
Observations:
4 Terminates: A concession for Bant Eldrazi and Eldrazi Tron matchu-ups, and it's also the best removal around..killing almost everything important in almos every match.
1 Engineered Explosives MB: I believe that this is a catch all type of card, which can deal with swarm types of agro and pesky permanents.

Whats your opinions
Not much to say, it's stock. It all relies on your SB and what matches you expect to see. I'd squeeze in a trump card for a fair matchup though, you're super relying on the kitchen finks and fulminators to fill in for when you need to remove discard or kill spells against the fair decks
Yeah, i thought about that too.
I'm thinking about Thrun, the Last Troll as a grinding card.
probably going to remove the single needle, suggestions?
Also you said that Blood Moon is not good enough, why you think that?

I'd like to suggest a sweet tech that I and a friend are playing. Gonti, Lord of Luxury, at first it may seem odd and strange, but I'm liking him a lot recently. Gonti fits in the "grind slot" really well, and every game that I board him in, he were the MVP of the match. "Drawing" four cards from the opponent's top deck and taking the best among them to cast later felt very good. Every single time that I resolved him the board state were stalled and he single handed changed the game in my favor.
What do you guys think?
Yes, i'm considering to take out CC entirely, it sure gets awkward to cast it reliable post moon, also i feel that the 23rd land is necessary to improve the odds of casting goyf and huntmasters reliable.
This is were i am at the moment.

In a heavy death's shadow meta, this is the way to go I believe..but I'm a little bit sketchy about it though..
