Mutavault is out of standard in a about two months. If you are wanting to do bigger tournaments and give yourself the best chance of winning between now and the release of Khans of Tarkir (mid-September) then it is worth buying them. If you are just going to do FNM, Game Day and similar events, then you are looking at a pretty significant expense for only short term use. You can do just fine with this deck at lower level events. Obviously your money to spend, but they are going down in value now and will only continue to do so.[/quote]

i'm intend to go in mid/low rated events only..gonna try my luck at a GPT this saturday, Gameday and perhaps some FNM between now and late September...i'll think during the week..tks!!

i got the point on Mutavaut, i'll wait to buy..gonna try Radiant first, with a more agressive build with Boon of Erebos and Thoughtseize together on the MB. i'll take my chance with 3x of them...let's see how it goes...i'm returning to Magic this month, this is my first build in 5 years of absence...i'm used to play Standard only...so i'm thinking very hard about the investment on Mutavaul, i know i can trade or sell it later on and got standard staples...but not sure about this move yet...tks for the insights!!

If you cannot justify the $$$ for Mutavault, then running Radiant Fountain makes a lot of sense.

I don't like Hero's Downfall in the main as it so often consumes an entire turn. If you are certain you are going to be against Monsters and Green, Crippling Blight is awesome. You can kill elves with it (essential) or drop it on some big, dumb fatty and run around it like a fence post. The fact that it costs just B makes it really easy to keep the pressure on by casting another creature the same turn you cast Crippling Blight. I have never run up against WW, but I think it would likely be a good card against them too as it has targets it can kill plus first strike guys you absolutely don't want blocking. If your meta is walker heavy, then Hero's Downfall is the right card, but based on your anticipated meta, I think Crippling Blight is a great card.

In the sideboard, I do not like Brain Maggot. I have never found a matchup where it works. Hand destruction is not very good against monsters as they have redundancy. In that spot, I'd put Doom Blade. Again, thinking about matchups against WW, Green and other monsters, Doom Blade is at its best there. Also, except for Nightveil Specter, it is great against Mono-blue which, despite the name, is far from it when you look at the creature lineup so Ultimate Price is not a great card for that matchup.

The other card to keep in mind if you are running into a creature heavy meta is Agent of the Fates Between your Boon of Erebos and bestow boys, you have 15 ways to target him. The heroic ability is awesome and the deathtouch means that at the worst he trades. Sure, sometimes he trades down due to the 2 toughness, but, again, looking at the meta, if Monsters accelerates into a T3 Polukranos, Agent of the Fates is the next best thing to a removal spell. In fact, if you have a way to target him, he is better than a removal spell as he will smash for damage next turn. Agent, vs the whole standard meta is the fourth best 3 drop (you are running the 3 better ones) but against monsters, he is amazing.

tks a lot for your thoughts...i'll have all of them mind when i'll change the mb and sb!

tks mate...i really don't expect games to go very long....

this is the list i'm running, any suggests?

Lifebane Zombie mainboard is a local meta choice...i saw too many Jund, WW and Mono G floating around...going to decide about them saturday morning (will have a GPT on local store) if i don't see a lot of those decks i'll run with 2 Master of the Feast MB and 3 Lifebane SB.
Also i think that Radiant it's a nice option...good against agro and my own life loss from Pain Seer and Boon of Erebos...
