Its beginning of your end step, not upkeep, which makes it slightly better I suppose.
    I'm not interested personally.
    Maybe I'm wrong. //shrug

I think it's much better. If your opponent is tapped out, you'll get an activation out of it. If not, he can't touch it before activation if he only has sorcery speed removal. I think the difference is very sound.

They are claiming to have more dragons than any other set, but Lorwyn had 18 dragons. They got a lot of work to do. I am excited though.

Huh? Is this a joke? If so I admit to not getting it sorry. :/

At any rate, Lorwyn didn't have any dragons. Did you mean another set?

Hey, just realized. You know what's fun to Manifest? Hooded Hydra. GG to get a 5/5 with a good death trigger?

Besides saving you three mana on an earlier turn, how is manifesting it any better than morphing it?

I think saving three many is pretty good. As I said, GG for a 5/5 with a good death trigger.

Of course, this all depends on how much it costs to manifest it to begin with.

Playing a bunch of them plus the facedown-bettering enchantments could work quite well.

Potential problem with Shaman Revelation is that the card draw is better in elfball-type decks while the ferocious bonus is better in midrange or ramp and it doesn't affect the board at all. It draws and gains life with, say, Sylvan Caryatid and a Polukranos, World Eater on board, but those kinds of decks will rather want to affect the board with more monsters or a Nissa than gain life or draw cards. As is, it has two kinda unrelated effects that are good for Control, but require a midrange board. I don't think it will make waves. Of course, I might just be wrong, and I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Wow... Had no idea they would ever morph instants or sorceries. They repeatedly said it wouldnn't work within the rules. This way it seems like it would work. It's really cool, and I praise them for making it happen.

Perhaps there can be a rare card which can specifically cast manifested instants or sorceries?

    Manifestomancer 1R
    Creature - Human Wizard R
T: Exile target face down creature you control. If it is an instant or sorcery, you may cast it from exile this turn.

Both my gf and I have cheated on each other. We moved past it because it is dumb stuff. Kids, don't cheat on each other. We've been way happier after it, because of the openness.

As cool as Zendikar was, I'm not sure I cared that much for the flying land æsthetic. I much rather like the Unhinged lands. (also like the square box more than the rounded)

Technically, Decay won't be countered, but it's considered unable to target its target, and as such it can't work anyways, so it just goes into the graveyard without any effect.

Well, "Technically" the spell WILL be countered, as 608.2b specifically uses the phrase countered. Though, something being countered does, as you stated, mean it goes to the graveyard without resolving.

Oh god right, I'm so sorry.

I include a demonic consultation and a consultation package of Snuff Out, Imp's Mischief and Faerie Macabre. People will tell you that Demonic Consultation isn't very strategic - but I've had such entertaining consultation flips in the past that people will keep me in the game to see if the black deck kills itself. My trick is that the first 6 that get exiled off the top get exiled face down until the effect resolves. I guess that's maybe a house rule - but going down to your last 5 or so and flipping them one at a time - not knowing if the named card is in the top 6 - really can build suspense and attract a crowd of spectators to a table. Crazy plays like that are also what separate us from all the other magic players, So I happily embrace it.

So I urge you to consider including a Consultation and a package for it - it's an amazing B instant that will get you any answer / game ending card in your deck - and it's also the best way you'll ever lose a game.

May I just say hats off to you, sir, your attitude about the spirit of Commander is great. Big plays are indeed awesome and cards should indeed be included for that reason. I'm always happy to find another player who likes to eitehr win or lose with style.

Rhino is indeed incredibly pushed. Loxodon Hierarch used to be a great creature back in the day. Change one colorless to B and you get 1 toughness more, trample, and a bigger swing, which actually damages your opponent. Loxodn had a bit of utility, so it's not strictly worse, but the regen ability was not why he was mainly played.

However, I don't think Rhino is a big problem. While chaining 3 rhinos in quick succession might be considered ''degenerate'', the real problems are Caryatid and Courser. Atm every green deck is playing 4x Elvish mystic, 4x Caryatid and 4x Courser. I think this is a much bigger problem than Siege Rhino, who only gets played in Abzan, and wierd 4 color decks, like Brad Nelson's.

I think Loxodon Hierarch could be played in current Standard. 4 life and a 4/4 is nothing to scoff at. It's still pure value.
