What does sort of work pretty well with Keranos is Stormcaller of Keranos you scry to help get rid of lands to help increase the bolting, but yeah the Izzet Uncommon better be amazing.
Maro did confirm that the reason why green has less mythics is because it has access to 2 planeswalkers (apparently he forgot about Xenagos) I just wish he'd explain why Boros Izzet and Golgari got shortchanged this block, was it choice or just random.
The looter is possibly just what a Phenax mill deck needed. Have a Phenax in play and an extra in your hand? discard him for a consuming aberration An extra underworld connection? trade it for Heroes' downfall
Thanks fixed and moved Bearer to 89 based on the slightly better image gallery and span counting.
I've completely given up on trying to figure out what the multi colours are going to be Disciple just threw me completely. It's possible it's an outlier, the extra card that was posited earlier, but I don't know. It just find it really weird given they are going with a U/R deck for the event they seem to not have many UR cards for Journey.
There's decent Synergy with Iroas, Launch, and Dictate. Mild synergy with Atheros in that if both get resolved your opponent will likely pay the 3 life to keep it in the grave yard. No real synergy with Aegis.
None of these cards really pair well with the promo. There's mild Synergy with Kuphrix to help ramp or Rush to give you another big creature, but nothing really awesome. Plus the island requirement means you have have a pretty decent commitment to to Blue for it to work well. The card can potentially win on it's own you get it down with enough islands that you essentially cyclonic rifted your opponent, but if the rest of the packs are blue light, it's a tough card to use.
We don't know what the black dictate does, but there's pretty decent synergy with Pharika. It triggers constellation if it comes out after and provides more triggers. Extinguish all Hope has some synergy. Chances are iof you get both of it and Doomwake if you have a decent staple of enchantment creatures in black or a secondary colour it's not a bad way to go. Master is an enchantment creature if it comes in after doomwake plus it's a decent clock in limited where removal is limited. Speaking of removal. Silence is pretty good removal especially given the voltron nature of a lot of the limited decks. No direct synergy but removal is always removal and this is potential 1 for 2 or more removal depending on your mana and if there's any bestow going on. Macar has no real synergy. but it is potential removal.
The best synergy would probably be Dictate or Twinflame Iroas isn't bad with it, but again Spawn is slow and requires a strong mountain presence to be useful even more than Scourge of Fleets needs islands. Depending on the decks Keranos and Eidolon might do enough damage early that Spawn can finish it, but I wouldn't count on it.
Not a lot of syngery here Dictate is useful but you better have another card besides this to take advantage of it. Hydras a second big beater. Kuphrix can help reduce the Mana cost for the pump, but nothing spectacular. Tactics can turn it into a potential any creature kill.
Just from that kind of evaluation I think White is probably the way to go followed by Black a somehwat distant second. Granted I still need two more rares from white but unless they are both horribad cards with negative synergy to Dawnbreakers you're looking at least 4 out of the 7 cards you could get in the seeded booster decently together.
Any thoughts on my evaluation?
(Of course once we get the full card list and I see what else is there I might change my mind.)
The problem I have with that is that would give G/W and U/G an extra uncommon in the block.
They didn;t make a U with G off colour activation card for Born because it had Kiora's follower.
I doubt he'll answer until after the whole sets been spoiled but I really would like an answer about the disparity between colour pairs this block. I'm annoyed about the mythics but I mean how many of the non god mythics see play but the fact that they have less cards period annoys me.
I get that they don't keep Mythics Balanced, but when mono green has half the mythics of three other colours and it hasn't gotten a mythic in two sets? That's just poor planning. I'm sure the answer is green has access to three planeswalkers, but I still think it's a a little dumb
1 blue mana
Sorcery
Target opponent reveals a removal spell from his, then discards this card and activates any combination of mana abilities that would have been able to cast that spell. That mana drains from that player's pool.
Because no way is anyone going to let that live. It's completely bonkers!!! The ability alone to make any single target instant or sorcery cost 1 mana is already pretty good (but less so than in the case of the above-mentioned Electromancer). The shenanigans you can do with Strive spells and certain Multikicker variants.
yeah but all you need in your hand is any spell that targets it, that won't kill it
I attack with Medomai the Ageless and on my extra turn I attack with anything. It's not blocked and I cast Polymorphus Rush choosing Medomai and targeting one of my unblocked creatures. Obviously one of Medomais has to go but I can choose the regular version, but does the card I turned into Medomai stop attacking?
What I find interesting is the Event deck is U/R so cleat Wizards think there is some sort of viable deck. Battlefield Thaumaturge with some combo of twinflame Polymorphous rush and/or Harness by Force Toss in Goblin Electromancer and Spellheart chimera but it feels slow.
