Does anyone else think that with the placement of Venser, Shaper Savant at 55 we might start with 1-4 colorless cards and have the colors each contain 28-29 cards instead of 30? Five cards alphabetically after Venser seems a stretch. And Bonfire as the first red card also seems unlikely.
I'm not sure there's room for that anymore since Concealed Courtyard. I'm down to three Plains. I could live with two Plains but I don't want to cut fetches; on the contrary, I'd like to go up to nine if I'm going to use Fatal Push in the numbers I want to try. I don't know where else to find room for Ghost Quarters and Flagstones of Trokair.
With twenty-four lands, one might find room for one of each, or perhaps even two GQ, but I'm on twenty-three and I don't want to cut spells for more land.
I dearly love Flagstones and I want to build a deck with it, but that's probably a Smallpox deck, not BW tokens.
Yeah, in order to make it work, I was thinking 24 lands and I would cut fetch lands to just 4 Marsh Flats.
Here is my trial list:
4x MF, CC
3x GQ, Flagstones, Plains
2x GS, SV
1x Vault, Swamp, and another land or extra copy of one already listed.
Obviously Ghost Quarter and Flagstones make revolt tougher to enable (although they can both enable it), and I had not factored that into my analysis. Thank you for the reminder about that issue though. I shall assess it.
When you have this card in play and you cast remand, countering a spell, do you draw from remand and then decide if you loot, or decide if you want to loot then draw from remand, or do you get to decide which order to do them in?
Aside from president and ballot questions, everyone on my ballot was running unopposed.
Weird. In California they select the two highest vote getters from the primaries for the general. So for Senate and State Senate I get to chose between two Democrats, but for the State Assembly and House races there are one Republican and one Democrat.
It was a feisty group of propositions this go around. In addition to the standard bonds and taxes for schools and health care we had: two capital punishment votes, two plastic bags in grocery stores votes, legalizing marijuana, a two dollar tax/pack on nicotine cigs, and condoms in pornography.
Also I waited in line for three minutes to vote. This was literally the longest time I have ever waited in line to vote since starting back in 1998.
I would actually take advantage of this "demotion" to separate the thread into Bushwaker Zoo/ Little Zoo and Naya Zoo/Big Zoo. I think the two decks fell appart too much to be considered the same and is quite confusing when you are reading sideboards or fringe cards for each deck until you get to the part where they mention if it is for Big or little zoo. Both decks dont have the same strategy anymore, since Big Zoo ends up more in a controlling aspect in a lot of matchups while Little just goes as fast and wide as possible. Also little zoo is in a better spot right now and could maybe get faster to tier 2, while Big Zoo just feels like the weakest Company deck right now, and may need more focused discussion in order to improve.
Thats my 2c.
I do not wish for my post in reply to be considered spam, but I wanted to add a +1 to this post. Outside of both being Naya (or maybe RGx) based aggro decks, they are really quite different. It might cut down on the replies for either specific thread, but it would reduce some confusion. Now up to four cents?
If you are playing a Domri big zoo version, in which situations do you prioritize getting Domri out versus getting out some big dumb creature, against an empty board? Is it generally just opponent deck dependent?
I can honestly say that I would be happy with opening any of them with two exceptions: Aether Vial and Painter's Servant. It is not that I don't think they are good cards, but I would never use the former, and the latter is banned in the format I prefer to play. With everything else, I'd be just peachy as they are all usable by me.
Well, if you happen to pull one of those I can promise you that there will be people wishing to trade for them, or buy them off you. So it wouldn't be a total loss.

Do you think Abzan players shave any Path to Exile for Fatal Push? Or does this slot into a different area?
2x Siege Rhino
3x Dark Confidant
3x Tarmogoyf
3x Scavenging Ooze
3x Noble Hierarch
Other losers: working class, middle class, lower class
Other winners: People who would be adversely hurt by the estate (death) tax
