I play a red-white humans list and it's way more explosive than people think. The good thing is, you get a bunch of hard hitting creatures because Thalia's Lieutenant and if that's not enough or your opponent wipes your board, you can still kill them with burn. Also, I run the full play set Path to Exile and Lightning Bolt, so the deck can actually play defense against something like affinity as well if need be. I'm having a great time with it, it's my dear companion pet :-).

I'm not sure yet about the Silverblade Paladin-thing. I was actually always quite pleased with the guy. I guess I'll test a bit with Metallic Mimic instead the Paladins I'm currently running and see how that goes, didn't get to test the Mimic yet. Maybe also try Hanweir Garrison along the way. Let's see Smile

    Hey everyone!
To be honest, i haven't read the whole thread yet, but i thought it's really cool humans has one here. Been playing humans roughly since rtr standard, though it wasn't all that good. I'm on a boros list at the moment.
Has someone thought about Lightning Mauler in red lists? In my experience it gives us really fast draws, plus i'm a fan of the soulbound mechanic. I also like running Silverblade Paladin, though not convinced as much by that guy. It certainly is fun to pair him to a big Champion of the Parish or Thalia's Lieutenant. I used to even play Spark Trooper at some point for 12 trampling lifelinking damage on turn 4.
I like how a boros list that stays pretty white and plays red mostly for burn can be pretty fast, while also being able to play a quite interactive game if the opponent is faster.
I guess I'll be a little more active here in the future, looking forward to talking humans with you people Smile

    Hey, guys,
the first real deck i played was in standard (innistrad and return to ravnica). It was a human Boros deck with Champion of the Parish. Man, i loved that card and deck. It was pretty fast and i played it even before that Naya blitz Thing came up.
Anyway, I always liked that particular deck most out of all i ever played. From this day on, I will try to at least get it pinned in Deck Creation forums. And i want you to help me do so :3

The game plan is pretty much straight-forward: play that Champion, Play dem humans, punch your Opponent in the face with tehm, win. It would be great if it could do that in modern as well. It actually worked in standard often enough (considering how bad i was back then). My list by now:

Even though it might not look like, I had a reason for putting most cards in my deck:

    Champion of the Parish
Until now, th Champion is one of my favorite cards ever. Tarmogoyf is good, right? This dude is basicaly a 2/2 on turn 2 andat least a 3/3 on turn 3. Pretty good in my opinion, plus very fu to Play :3

    Boros Elite
I honestly blieve this creature is awesome. It's a 3/3 for 1 quite ofen, which is quite god, as far as i know. This deck doesn't want to block anyway.

    Soldier of the Pantheon
Not sure on this one. In my standard list i ran Legion Loyalist, which is not human and as aleady subotimal there. so i was looking for a goo one drop to fill the spot. Didn't want to play Student of Warfare because i think it's too slow for this deck.

    Ligtning Mauler
This guy is great. Decent power, human and a great ability. A hasty Mirran Crusader? Yes, please.

    Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
I love her. First Strike is already pretty nice and owning noncreature decks is a pretty nice thing to have. It does hurt a little to make the bun spells more expensive, but believe i hurt most enemies more than it will hurt me. Plus, She will get removed sooner or later anyway. Thalia doesn't die to removal. Removal dies to Thalia.

    Silverbade Paladin
Giving your Champion of the Parish double strike is pretty strong. Also, having double strike on himself is pretty strong. Also, giving him and Lightning Mauler haste and double strike is, well... pretty strong

    Mirran Crusader
An Overall strong card, and a human. Protection is nice gainst Abzan, too.

    Lightning Bolt
    Burn, removal, strong, stuff.

    Lightning Helix
    Nice burn, life gain.

    Boros Charm
4 damage to the face? Awesome! Counter a wrath? Nice!

    Gather the Townsfolk
Really not sure about this one. It makes your Champion attack for 3 on turn 2 and the fateful hour can save you sometimes, on the other Hand it's 1/1s and sorcery. I feel like there are better choices, but i don't know which.

    Sacred Foundry
    To Play a good land.

    Clifftop Retreat
Well, those fetches are expensive :3

Okay, guys, only some questions to start with:
    1. Do you think this archetype has a place in modern?
    2. What do you think of my choices?
    3. What should i build the sideboard against? (i'm pretty new to modern)
    4. How can i structure the deck list better?

Also, if you like the deck, feel free to test it, maybe even Play it and to tell me what you found out, I'd really love to see this deck become competitive, but i think there's much to do until then.

Thanks to everyone who took time to read through this or even helping to make Boros Humans a thing.

    Edit: Spelling

Favorite Playstyle (Aggro, Midrange, Control, Combo): Aggro, Control or Combo. I like Eggs, but it takes a little too long. Also white weenie is cool, is there a solid modern version? Please no UW Tron or mono U Tron... Other Control is cool.

How Competitive (For Fun, Local Tournament, MTGO, PTQ/GP): Mainly FNM, i guess. I dont have a problem with more powerful things either.

Favorite Cards/Colors: Dunno, anything... Not too red, i guess...

Budget: As low as possible. Something at least playable without Fetches. Not 7000 Shocks either please. Thanks.

Staples Owned: A few Sacred Foundries, A Few Watery Graves, a Steam Vents. 3 Lightning Bolt.

    Thanks if anyone helps me.

Hi, I need a little help here too:

Preferred Playstyle: Control if possible, defenitely not aggro.
How Competitive: FNM-level is good enough by now.
Favorite Cards/Colors: BLUE. Rune Snag ftw.
Budget: That's my main problem. As cheap as possible please, possibly without Fetchlands.
Staples owned: Nothing Special. Only 3 Lightning Bolt.
