I've had notions about this on several of the boxes, but I seriously appreciate that actual work that went into displaying this! Thank you so much!
I would also love to see something like this once or twice a year.

Sep 20, 2017chaos021 posted a message on Changes to MTGSalvation User AccountsI disagree with the whole security issue. As has been pointed out, it just makes Twitch a bigger target.Posted in: Articles
Also, what about the functionality of MTG Salvation? Is it being worked on? Does the user account change help? -
Sep 12, 2017chaos021 posted a message on Changes to MTGSalvation User AccountsEven the replies from the MTG admins seems to not answer questions directly. Basically, all I'm reading is "it will be easier for them to maintain the system." "Easier to maintain" does not mean "more secure." It just means it's less likely someone in-house screws something up or overlooks something.Posted in: Articles
Here's what I want to know: If this merger happens and people stick around, is the functionality of MTG Salvation going to return? Right now, there are still piles of problems that have been noted and still not fixed. If not, what's the point of the merger from a user standpoint? -

If you stick with Grixis, I don't think you have an option on playing Niv-Mizzet, Parun realistically. It's the most concise way to close out games in those colors. Even a flipped Nicol Bolas, the Ravager is slower and just as susceptible to shenanigans. What else would there be? Sarkhan, Fireblood ultimate? Expansion // Explosion? Nezahal, Primal Tide? I'll pass on all of those for a Niv-Mizzet in conjuction the The Eldest Reborn.
I know Jeskai has its blind spots but I think they are far narrower than the ones Grixis has. Even Esper control seems better. It's just really clunky.
Trying to play expensive spells and Faithless Looting in the same deck is usually painful. More often than not, you end up making a choice to keep lands for your expensive spell at the cost of all else. That usually makes me question why I'm including both.
I can respect that. I was living a hypothetical dream for a moment. It just seems that Modern is more interactive than Legacy, and for some reason, they want to make creatures matter in Legacy all of a sudden. Maybe this isn't forum for ban list talk. I think I was warned about that once.
So basically, Jund should just become a worse version of another graveyard-based deck?
My only problem with Death's Shadow decks is that tribal decks give them fits. While Humans may just be a really good deck now instead of THE deck, Spirits is quite capable of smashing hard and being disruptive as well. Not to mention, Stubborn Denial (the real power of Grixis DS imo) is terrible against both of those decks. I really don't think Shadow decks are situated that much better to be honest. Maybe 4C Shadow would have a better time, but from what I recall, I'm not super high on it either.
As for the need for strong card selection, I can't imagine any card WotC would make that could help midrange strategies specifically. If a card were made in the Jund wheel that provides decent-to-great card selection, how would they make it specific enough that mono-G Tron can't make use of it? Now what about Grixis control or even Ad Nauseam? The point is that I'm not sure that they would want to release that rabbit into the current wilds. I think it would prop up the wrong decks and knock the legs out from the ones that need such, which basically would make life more miserable for us middle-of-the-road fair decks. A good comparison would be Fatal Push. It definitely helped us, but it also hurt us greatly.
What does your current list look like?
