What we've seen up until this point is boards with tons of creatures. I wonder what it would be like to make a 5/5 thopter or a 9/10 advocate is probably the most common target. I really like goldnight castigator into this, thats 13 damage flying, feels hard to beat. I think this guy will curve top a big aggressive red/green deck with thunderbreak regent lambholt pacifist loves this card, advocate. There's a deck here and a lot of great targets that aren't trash without him. The flip is just gravy. I don't know how dominant a R/G will be but I expect to see at least 1 in a top 16 because of this guy.

Wouldn't it make a lot more sense if she had the "can block any number of creatures" clause so you can ram all their creatures into her? I mean colorless ramp, Vessel of volatility, evolving wilds, tormenting voice, magmatic insight to find her and ramp into her technically. Could actually be fierce in a red based ramp deck. She doesn't really die to ruinous path because you just cast their ruinous path on their own creatures. Even Declaration in stone use it on their own creatures when you control them. The bar was so high for an emrakul but this isn't unplayable. Think on average it'll cost 9, and you can use their removal spells against them. And then theres a 13/13 flyer to deal with.

Didn't BFZ block nearly annihilate Modern? And KTK block forced multiple bans. Like yeah standard is weaker but the relative card strength has not diminished. I mean look how many BFZ block cards are played in legacy now it's crazy.

Can organize leagues at local rec centers and libraries. Places like those are usually excited to have after school programs and often require an adult supervisor. Technically this is volunteering but I was doing it in middle school just to have people to play yugioh with...

Yeah this could honestly be the best set to sit on the box since it probably has more elusive, highly desired cards than any set since Alpha.

If I cast Ruinous Path for its awaken cost how much mana do I need to spend if I have Jace's Sanctum in play?

If I cast Ruinous Path for its awaken cost and the creature I'm trying to kill is removed from the battlefield before the spell resolves do I still make a creature?

Wait a few years, you'll get a better return on investment than any stock.

The arguments against trail of evidence are just absurd nonsense. Parroting things you heard about other strategies in other threads....
You know what does nothing the turn you play it? Jace's sanctum, but it's still an amazing permanent for this strategy. When you reload your hand or reset the board these permanents are what give you an edge going into the next phase of the game. I've run trail of evidence in the sideboard and it's an excellent card, especially fighting against a lot of discard where you can't utilize all your mana each turn because your hand has been picked apart. The games go long, it's not hard to crack 6-7 clues in one game.

Played Mono-Blue Prison tonight and I will never ever go back to jar. This deck overpowered a G/W tokens deck that just had the most absurd board state. Talking Gideon, Nyssa, multiple advocates, multiple gideon emblems.

Day's Undoing is legit. Ending the turn doesn't even matter, you'll have a full grip on their turn and mana to spend. Once you start stacking your rings and sanctums, especially after chaining engulf and day's undoing you're just so unbelievably far ahead. Your deck is much more spell dense and all that scrying lets you quickly hone in on your win conditions.

Part the Waterveil is a legit win condition, if you can two together with awaken, especially after engulf you're almost guaranteed to win. have a 12/12 that can swing twice. Rise from the tides is just a backdoor win, I've never won with it.

Pore over the pages with 2 sanctums is gross, 1 mana to draw 3 cards, probably gaining life, and 2 scries before i even draw. The jarless, deck is just better, I won't ever go back to jar. People need to stop speculating about what the new list does and just play it, it's so much smoother, you can easily fight off aggro, i mean i was chaining turns together where i was drawing 7 cards and gaining 10 life each turn, bouncing their board, outside Ulamog most decks cant even deal with it. Stop speculating and start playing the new list, you'll never go back.

Simple question, where does Day's Undoing end up after you cast it? Does it get shuffled back into the deck or is it the only card in the graveyard after the effects resolves?

Something extremely similar to this happened in Bakuman. Basically the idea was that a strong player does not want help from a hive mind of average players and it may be advantageous initially once it really matters it can become detrimental.

Not sure what alternate dimension Maze's End and Mono-black devotion were comparable but it was not this one.
Edit: You didn't even mention jund superfriends that showed up with m15, i feel like youre totally misremembering the format

RTR-Theros was extremely stale. 4 decks dominated and literally nothing changed for 9 months because born of the gods and journey into nyx were extremely bad sets.
G/W Devotion made me quit standard. 20 cretures on board and 400 life isn't fun. The mirror could go over 2 hours.

Feels like everything is an aggro midrange deck. Humans, Company, Aristocrats, there's no space for a red aggro deck and control gets punished pretty hard by the previous 3 decks.
