The point is each hydra is a threat so even against control we can simply just drop a hydra every time they answer one.
I understand this. What I like to do against control is test the waters with a Corpsejack first. Usually it's allowed to stay, which is a HUGE mistake for the control deck. After that I only pay 1 or 2 for my hydras, and with them doubling on entry, the control deck simply can't counter them all, and I use a Savage Summoning to guarantee my Kalonian's entry, at that point it's game over for the control deck unless he Supreme Verdict's the next turn.
I'm not a fan of Farseek, especially with Lay of the Land released in M14. IDK how a lot of players play local to you, but there's a lot of aggro decks and control decks local to me, which forces me to add in more non-creature spells.
I'd love to hear how yours preforms though. I'd definitely have a heavy non-creature spell sideboard.
midnight baker: I really like hellhole flailer, with hydra doubling his counters he is like a time bomb to finish off the opponent! got my wheels turning again with this idea. I think 4x hydra is needed though, because without everything else in the deck it can win the game. Ceratok I looked at, but i feel that spot could easily be CJM, who would work well with flailer.
@everyone: what about Zhur-Taa Druid? I'm thinking he may be a little clunky but....anyone try him out?
I tried 3 when I originally built mine, and the pinging just doesn't make a difference in the outcome, and he's not worth 2 mana for the added 1 mana. I'd go with Elvish Mystic over Zhur Taa
Same name gets shuffled back in i think, its weirdly worded. Still, a 2 mana random tutor vs a 4 mana. Up to you I guess, you could play 2 signals by the time you can play one tutor, and have more success maybe? hard telling not knowin'
Agreed, I think the Signals would work better then a Tutor. I also need to add a couple naturalizes to the sideboard.
Edit: Sideboarding a Pithing Needle could be great against AEtherling. IDK about you guys, but he's popular here.
I didn't even think about Abrupt Decay or Dreadbore. Definitely going to have to pick those up. Probably run 4 Dreadbore myself.
I find myself mixed on Putrefy. I like it, it's useful, but I never have it when I need it.
I think I'll take Diabolic Tutor over Increasing Ambition mainly due to IA rotating out in September, that and I have Diabolic Tutor's at hand I can toss in.
I think Grim Return will be nice with how much board removal there is now. Maybe 2 main board and 2 side board.
Also debating on Lithurgy of Blood. It's a nice removal to go into a creature with.
I love playing casual. I also enjoy Standard and Booster Drafts.
Ya, I'm strongly considering adding 2 Heartless Summoning's to my deck.
Heads - RTR
Tails - M14
It is a 'May' effect though, so could you still pay the mana cost?

Side board?

Not sure on that one. It's a risk. Always wondered what happened if you didn't pull 3 with different names though... lol
Edit: After thinking about it more, it may work well in my deck with the number of creatures I have.
