I remove the titans since I am using Humility. Howling Mine was an outstanding performer in both games, I think it gives me advantage with my low curve while my stax pieces preventing my opponents from playing their high cmc spells. But I would like to know if there is an alternative to it without giving my opponents advantage.
Teferi's Protection would render your permanents nonexistent, you just have to cast it in response to her ultimate.
You're not in green, you can't Doubling Season into the ultimate. You are, however, in colors that can protect a planeswalker fairly well, between blue's counterspells, black's removal, and all three colors' ability to restrict your opponents. And like every ability, you shouldn't just use it for no reason. (One of my personal bugaboos is what I call "mindless play": "Oh, I drew a land, I'll play it." "Oh, I can fire off an ultimate? Make it so." Seriously, do not do this.)
To xcric - Every deck I own has some Stax/Tax element. Some are lighter and some are more oppressive, but I prefer disruption to heavy counter magic. It’s also harder to play than the “victim” think. Their are a lot of lines and you risk hurting yourself if your opponent skillfully handles your resistor components.
People complain a lot so I’m glad to see other admit Stax can be entertaining.
So it seems your options are
A) play a watered down version of what you like
B) change groups/lgs
C) embrace the strange new version of commander they have created and just ramp better than they do. If nothing can touch lands you should be safe to ramp into stupid amounts of mana very quickly. Search up broken lands and go to town.
D) “Get around” the rules with stasis or tax effects that don’t specifically destroy land.
Personally I would ask for an honest discussion about using the normal ban list so you can all play at other LGS. If that fails I’d personally go with option B
It does bother me when people set house rules to make thier play style better. With that in mind and in an attempt to follow the no land destruction rule what if you let them have the lands but change the mana with Ritual of Subdual or Naked Singularity (both great with solemnity. contamination is another classic for this, or just stasis lock them.
Build a 5 color Lands deck. There’s a thread for it I can link you to if you’d like. Be sure to exclude anything that would save you from LD. Abuse their system and make them understand why blanket rules do not work and stipulations are important.
I don’t know your financial situation, but if you can afford the normal for a gold bordered card, in response to them telling you not to use the card, pull up your phone and buy the normal right in front of them (or fake buy it) and tell them that that silly rule is only hurting them since you can easily get what you need.
Solve problems with spite. Turn the rules against the players.
This isn’t an amazing suggestion and a fun deck. EDH solemnity lands is amazing.
Another idea is to start asking for votes on equally silly ideas, nothing that blows up enchantments please. My deck needs them. Or maybe just ban blue mana sources in the group? If they don’t get it find another pod to play in.
I'm thinking it has same CMC (but colored), triggers potential card draw, triggers constellation, and does not take 1 mana a turn to activate like top,
Of course it isn't available at instant speed and can't protect itself.
You have top and library to filter. I doubt you are going in blind based on your skill level. If it really starts to hurt you could find a spot for Mirri's Guile
There are at least 2 other decks running Possessed Portal in that store and I do see a lot of players just scoop to it when it lands if they are already behind and it is clear the controller can bounce it or feed it. I like the change.
I tried Captain Sisay today with just the existing targets (not your test cards) and found it was very useful for cradle and rites (which I am testing).
I know several people that will just play cedh decks until the rule expires in January. I'm probably going to carry at least one in case I land at a broken table.
With Howling Mine and Static Orb you should have a way to tap and Untap them at will. Make them asymetrical. I’d switch out Winter Orb for Static Orb and add Clock of Omens
You have blue and black. Animate Dead your Deepglow Skate then blink with -1
I was thinking Overwhelming Splendor might be fun to blink onto different people.
Parallax wave has been awesome. Stop a few problem attackers or hide your stuff.
Testing Moat now.
Removed Search for Azcanta for more tutor.

Get stasis lock online and win with 20/20 or PW ultimates. I’m loving it so far.

Did you ever test it?
Why Batterskull over Umezawa's Jitte? It seems Umezawa's Jitte can disrupt more plans and can do it at instant speed. It can also kill lands if Living Plane is in play without another combo rectangle.
Also curious if Twilight Prophet tested well.
