It wasn't in commander, but I was using my friend's very powerful Eldrazi deck and I made an infinite turn loop by chain casting the two Emrakuls in the deck, while beating him to death with a Llanowar Elf.
As far as commander goes, I'd have to say it was using Maze of Ith on my own Primeval Titan so I could get the lands without making anyone mad at me since there was nobody good to attack.
That or the mono-u deck I built that was insanely powerful, that had the sole purpose of decking itself before somebody could kill me.
I personally prefer vindicate, however Maelstrom Pulse doesn't target the other things it's killing, so you could Clone/Metamorph a hexproof creature and pulse it to kill theirs.
Engulfing Slagwurm. Yeva, Nature's Herald is my general so flashing this blocker would kill anything.... But a 7/7 should be able to kill 99% of all creatures in combat anyway... Then on the offense, the lack of trample hurts. I think I'd rather run the Pelakka Wurm
I do have to agree with you whole-heartedly, but I have to ask: you're running mono-green and have no ways to grant trample? No Rancor or Brawn?
Engulfing Slagwurm is an awesome choice in my opinion....but he tends to want something that can force people to block him (like Lure) or give him surprise blocking abilities, such as instant speed reach.
Ok guys, so out of all the possible commanders out there, which in your opinion would be one of the worst?
My opininion for one of the worst would be isperia the inscrutable
Isperia the Inscrutable is actually usable. There are much stronger options in her colors, but her ability can be abused (such as things like Wandering Eye or Glasses of Urza).
Now, I would have to say about half of the legendary creatures from Legends make pretty worthless commanders; most of them are over-costed vanilla creatures, or you're paying about 8 mana for a 4/4 mana dork.
Olivia Voldaren doesn't synergize directly with spell-slinging, but her theft abilities allow you to focus your spells more directly on your opponents.
Rakdos, Lord of Riots works really well if you're throwing burn spells left and right.
Rosheen Meanderer lets you feed X cost spells like nobody's business.
Tsabo Tavoc lets you murder other people's generals.
I think White/Black/Green is a good color combination: you get ramp, Necrotic sliver, and Harmonic Sliver. Karador might be the best, but since you already have a Karador deck Ghave or the dragon in those colors may be good alternatives.
Well, the point of this deck is to try and avoid the hate spawned by running a typical sliver deck, and running Ghave is not a good way to avoid hate.
The best sliver ever printed is Necrotic Sliver, so you're going to want WBx, and but as for a third color, any of the remaining three work with giving you really good support options.
Esper gives you some very solid options, but ultimately none of the generals are that good for your legion of Slivers.
Out of WBR, Kaalia is out for obvious reasons, and Oros really isn't too much better. Tariel, on the other hand gives you a way to interact with your opponent's deck, and I think that leading a legion of Slivers is about the last thing people would expect her to be doing.
Now, your best three-color combination is probably WBG, giving you Doran, who doesn't do much to slivers, but doesn't really hurt them that much either since almost all of them have equal p/t. However, Karador or Teneb give you some genuinely good options for your slivers, giving you some very useful recursion abilities. These generals also let you use Harmonic Slivers, which is probably the second-most powerful of the non-legendaries slivers in a commander game
Spine of Ish Sah is actually a rather good one for wiping out pesky enchantments if you can't do it otherwise. You can also use Karn Liberated or something like Liquimetal Coating which turns the enchantments into things you can kill.
Build a deck you're going to have fun playing, who cares if it always dominates? I built a deck whose job is to help other people win and make the game more exciting.
That aside, you want a commander capable of multiplayer or 1v1, and a good choice for that would be someone like Animar, Soul of Elements or Kresh the Bloodbraided. Both of those guys give you access to some good color combinations and are strong enough to win on their own.
You mostly want global effects that don't care if you're up against one player or three; such as a stax deck, either that or something full of bodies like Animar that doesn't really care how many opponents it has to smash.
If you want something janky, a Ruhan of the Fomori, who gets much better in 1v1 then multiplayer, and gives you access to very good colors.

....How is this supposed to work precisely?
Reaper King; Phage the Untouchable; Animar, Soul of Elements; Sliver Overlord; Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper; Chainer, Dementia Master; Phelddagrif; Ertai, the Corrupted

And loses.

Gisela, Blade of Goldnight can throw spells around with vicious effectiveness.

Zedruu the Greathearted could potentially make a good spellslinger.

Now, if you care less about the specific slivers you use and more about the commander itself, The Mimeoplasm; Thraximundar or Sedris, the Traitor King for grixis; Ruhan of the Fomori (best for 1v1); bant doesn't really give you much, but you could run Rafiq of the Many or Jenara, Asura of War are probably your best options; and your best bet for Naya would be Hazezon Tamar running hivestone.
