The issue with this combo is it's just for killing creatures.

O.o I did not know of this.. Holy@#!$

This is moving out, though. A few years ago, sure, but it's becoming less and less true.

I'd say Naya Control will see play and success at a high level event shortly after BotG is released.

It will run Spirit and sideboard a few more.

    1. Learn how to trade up
    2. Don't go on the internet asking for a deck under $50 when you clearly want a deck that costs several hundred dollars
    3. The only vaguely competitively viable deck you can build is Red Sligh

You certainly are not a business person.

Competing with Huge events locally, nationally, or globally will hurt your bottom line.

MTG is certainly a blip in the world though.

Did I say I was? Why do you automatically assume that everyone everywhere will be watching this event? They know there are more players outside of the US than inside it. What if there was a large sports event in my country, do you think I'd come on here and make a thread complaining about how its unfair that I have to choose between them?

Complaining that this activity should be moved due to a sporting events timing is disgustingly shortsighted.

So, it is confirmed that the prerelease sets are 3 Theros, 3 BOTG?

Will JiN be 2/2/2, or just 0/0/6?

I think a UW Midrange Deck has alot of potential, but it needs to play as a midrange deck and not an aggro deck.

I was told recently this guy was seeing play in Modern.
    What decks/how/what's his role etc

    Nothing that bad about it.

Limited is a very even ground in which the amount of money players drop on a deck has no influence on their deck in this format. I could play a $1000+ Jund deck in Modern and do well because I play an expensive deck, and be awful at limited because I'm not used to playing without paid advantages.

Limited is a very different, even ground that requires a good knowledge of the cardpool and different 'whats good and whats not'.

Should also mention you should be grateful you have a GP to go to etc

Standard is a silly format. It's the format that generates the most revenue for Wizards (apart from casual) and Singles sales in general.

Standard's power is extremely low currently.

    Cool concept but won't work.

Lacks spot removal Jund can offer, lacks Abrupt Decay. Try BUG.

mill is not a weak deck in general. There's a reason Glimpse the Unthinkable hit more than 20 dollar in magiccards.info M-Price.

Casuals love mill and there is hence a high demand for this, it's already been established.

You definitely don't play in last season standard to see that the Esper Control win con is Nephalia Drownyard.

It ran it as a wincon because there was no Aetherling, little if any landhate, and it was recursion.

Very, very bad. Only good thematically and to kill gods.

Hi guys, first time to post in these boards. Currently working in Tokyo and would love to meet and play with magic players in and around the area. My Japanese is still basic at best, though I can speak, read and understand enough to survive (at least in my opinion). I've been easing back into magic after a 10 year hiatus. I've been contemplating joining the local FNM at Yellow Submarine in Akihabara but still apprehensive about it. I'm not sure if playing in English is okay with the local players and how well will the interaction be.

These other guys that live in Japan seem to have more of an idea of me of the prices. However, the Yellow Subs I went to are very polite and the staff are helpful if your language is limited.
