I guess attacking with a turn 2 Champion for 6 and win on turn 3 regardless or 9 with Mauler + Tree is pretty good but then that deck would only lose to miracle as said... and Blasphemous but you only got 5 creatures out so. :|
I actually chose Bant before thinking of that because attacking for 10 + 6life on turn 3 is pretty good. (or 8 with Life)
On the other hand some low cost combo deck like Blistercoil that is a little too inconsistent would probly win a lot easier then Blitz.
Hi, my name is Patrick and I am new to Magic. I started with Yugioh, then Vanguard, and now I'm getting into Magic as a result of how fun the Dragons Maze prerelease was. I still play the other two but at the moment I am very thirsty for Magic play. At the moment I am building Travis Woo's Rite Aid deck as my first Standard deck (I probly won't get into another format for a while) and am checking for new M14 info every day. I hope to become much better at this game, probly as far as I can go... I hope.
Of course many people of different wealths will want expensive cards. Some have a lot of money but many interests which limits their spending on this hobbie. Some have none because no job will accept them because they are over/under-qualified. Some have the money but would rather spend it on half/whole deck. Most would love to play with the card but their resources are not always expendable in their eyes. Sure, I don't work hard but right now I have the money to probably buy a whole deck... but then I would have near to no savings... and only one deck. On the other hand I could save some money in case I need it in the future, buy a competitive standard deck and then attempt to win out in order to get this card some day. I could also work harder in a matter of different ways (depending on the person and their situation) in order to earn more but... well there is no excuse for that usually... except depression or something that is hard to combat.
Really what you are trying combat is the core to the problem that causes them to complain... and they take offense to it because everyone has a different story and a different reason for performing actions. (spending, waiting, selling, etc.)
On the other hand... why would should this card not be reprinted? lol People seem to think you are saying it should not to smite them but in reality you just care for their possible situation. Sometimes people are tired, lon.... I'm getting distracted.
I do not know much about Wiz's reprint policy outside the un-reprintable list but you should never think a card not on the list is ever going to be reprinted. YOU ARE TAKING A RISK. This is what I learned in Yugioh (which is much worse in this category). The difference between this reprint fiasco and Yugioh is that 1) its expected in yugioh and 2) these are like 5 cards. :/ They are not reprinting every single $20+ card ever in the game in a matter of 4 sets. This just means you can never expect the possible but the impossible is not a reason to avoid. If you want to keep a collection that never dies, only keep cards THAT WILL NEVER DIE. Otherwise be smart and offload when they are highest. :/
Maybe I don't know very much on the speculation thinger so maybe I am speaking jibberish but all I do know is that nothing is never, never (expect that list) so every expensive card you keep will always be a risk.
On the other hand, you do have the reason to get butthurt BUT you definitely do not have the ability to crush other people's dreams just because you ****ed up. :/ (in either being bad and not winning your money back or by not selling it because you can't win **** lol)
