Alhey MissionaryWU
Creature - Human Cleric (U)
Whenever Alhey Missionary becomes tapped, put a conversion counter on it.
When Alhey Missionary dies, gain control of target creature with power less than the number of Alhey Missionary's conversion counters.

Insecure Guardian1W
Creature - Human Soldier (U)
As long as another creature on the battlefield has less power than Insecure Guardian, Insecure Guardian has vigilance and indestructible and it can block any number of creatures each combat. Sometimes a little encouragement can go a long way.

Time, space, and minds. That's the domain I envision for purple. Does it step a little on the existing colors? Obviously, but I do genuinely think there is room for design space moving certain things into purple as the weird color that can manipulate time, space, and minds. As such...
First, the returning keyword from the last time I tried purple: Distort(Whenever this creature blocks or becomes blocked by a creature, that creature gets your choice of +1/-1 or -1/+1 until end of turn.)
This is the manipulation of space, specifically, the space just near the creature, which its opponent in combat inhabits. I envision it as a sort of magnetic vibration field. As such:
Vibration DronePP
Creature - Dothra Soldier (U)
Distort T, Tap another untapped creature you control with distort: Target creature can’t attack or block this turn.
2/2
The second keyword is how purple plays with time as a resource: Chronocast(As you cast this spell, you may choose to skip all instances of untap steps, draw steps, main phases, and/or combat phases during your next turn. This spell costs 1 less to cast for each one you choose. You can’t choose steps or phases that you’d already chosen to skip next turn.)
And here's a sample card to show another way purple might care about time:
Looping Chronomancer2PP
Creature - Dothra Wizard (R)
Chronocast PP, T: Return target instant or sorcery card with the words “until end of turn” in its rules text from your graveyard to your hand.
2/2
Finally, the manipulation of minds, with the action word "manipulate"
Manipulate (Until your next turn, the manipulated permanent’s activated abilities can be activated by you and only you. Their costs must still be paid.)
And the sample, which shows that this can go beyond the minds of creatures to playing puppeteer to your opponents other permanents (note that, while my sample card doesn't allow it, manipulate could be allowed to target lands.)
Tinkering Willmage1PP
When Tinkering Willmage enters the battlefield, manipulate target artifact. 3, T: Untap target artifact.
2/3
Thoughts? I'm just doing this as a thought experiment. Not really looking to flesh it out. Just curious how the ideas strike people.
Climber's Ascent1R
Enchantment (C)
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may tap an untapped creature and an untapped Mountain you control. If you do, put a quest counter on Climber's Ascent.
Remove three quest counters from Climber's Ascent and sacrifice it: Until end of turn, Mountains you control have "R: Target creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn."
IIW: cards that care about one specific basic land type
Hungry Bog Toad2BG
Creature - Frog (U) 1, T: Destroy target Insect creature with power less than Hungry Toad's power, then put a +1/+1 counter on Hungry Toad. It's hard to say which is worse: The swarms of mosquitos the bog used to house, or the several gigantic toads it houses now.
3/3
Opaline CurseWB
Enchantment - Aura (U)
Enchant nonland permanent
Enchanted permanent is an enchantment with no abilities.
Whenever enchanted permanent becomes the target of a spell, that spell's controller may attach Opaline Curse to another target permanent.
Inspired by DnD "Concentration," I thought of this idea: Concentrate — If no other spells were cast while ~ was on the stack, [effect].
Targeted FlamesR
Sorcery (C)
Targeted Flames deals 1 damage to target creature. Concentrate — If no other spells were cast while Targeted Flames was on the stack, it deals 4 damage to that creature instead.
Summoner's Pet2G
Creature - Lizard (U) Concentrate — Summoner's Pet enters the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it if no other spells were cast while it was on the stack.
2/2
Basically it forces your opponent to be ready with an instant - any instant at all - if they don't want you to be able to concentrate. Is this unfun because it discourages playing instants when you actually want to? Is it boring because you will concentrate too high a percent of the time, especially on low-CMC cards with it? Thoughts in general on the design space? If you hate using "stack," should it be "If no other spells were cast since you cast [name]"?
Fizzlewisp Goliath2UU
Creature - Giant Spirit (U)
Whenever a player casts a spell while Fizzlewisp Goliath is on the stack, counter Fizzlewisp Goliath. It is a powerful ally when summoned properly, but doing so requires the utmost concentration.
5/5
Strength of Will3WW
Enchantment (R)
Flash
You may pay 2 life and exile two white cards from your hand rather than pay Strength of Will's mana cost.
Creatures you control get +1/+1.
Silent Remnant1WU
Creature - Illusion Spirit (U)
Silent Remnant can't be blocked as long as it has no abilities other than this one. The spirits of Ner'aal were master spies for their masters, able to seep through enemy lines perfectly undetected.
3/3
Is there a compelling reason not to make Revolt say "the first creature spell you cast each turn costs 1 less" and then not have to have the "loses all abilities" thing.
I would prefer that the dragon require two creature-taps to regenerate, so that it can never regenerate itself solo.
Shakedown artist is my favorite.
I'm not thrilled by the brand. Would making it "enchant permanent" actually make it that overpowered for the cost?
Awakening Volley1WW
Instant (C)
Untap each creature you control. Until end of turn, creatures you control have "T: This creature deals 1 damage to target attacking or blocking creature."
Alhey Missionary WU
Creature - Human Cleric (U)
Whenever Alhey Missionary becomes tapped, put a conversion counter on it.
When Alhey Missionary dies, gain control of target creature with power less than the number of Alhey Missionary's conversion counters.

Necrotic Rites XXBBBB
Sorcery (R)
Delve
Each opponent sacrifices X permanents, discards X cards, and loses X life.

When you control no creatures, you lose the game.
