How about Gladehart Cavalry?
It seems interesting, maybe specially in a more +1 counter centric build, but also in a general Animar deck could be useful...
Legendary Creature - Elf Ally
You may play an additional land on each of your turns.
, Return a land you control to its owner's hand: Target creature gains trample until end of turn.
It seems interesting, but not quite a must.
It could be noticeable that it may Give trample to two creatures paying .
Ok, I've updated my deck with the last version.
This is a version with more steal stuff (Harness by Force etc.) and less creatures.
Let's see how it runs...
Upon further thought towards the Great Oak Guardian, you can have an infinite +2/+2 bump to your board for a win con, paired with Kiki.
That's undoubtably true. I admit that I actually don't see any substantial difference between going infinite and going infinite with a +2/+2 on every token.
@PopeJP: after a few testing I agree that a more focused deck could be more competitive even in a fun based environment.
Here are a few cards that I've just found today: Harness by force, Mark of mutiny and Traitorous Blood. I already had Act of Treason.
How many of them should I put in my deck? And therefore which cards should I substitute for them?
These are two cards that I like, thank you. High Market is a little bit more expensive, but being a land wolud propably protect it better against removals.
I'll think about them. But in a 50 cards deck it's as always very difficult to choose the cards to replace...
Proteus Staff: I admit that I was thinking about it on tuesday, but someone else made me think about Evolutionary Leap: it's not a removal for my opponent's creature, but it costs less both in casting and in activating its effect;
I have only 4 islands, so I fear that Vedalken Shackles would mostly be unharmful in my deck;
yes, Crystal Shard it's very interesting. I'll surely think about it.
I admit that my list is less threaten-centric than other ones that I've seen somewhere else. I preferred to have another way to win without Yasova: with other creatures. Burning-Tree Emissary is in the list because I thought that could give a little more speed to the deck. Savage Knuckleblade is my beater to win the games. Frost Walker is a cheap 4-strength creature (and I already had it, so I didn't have to spend money for that slot ). Experiment One is even cheaper than Frost Walker and may grow during the game. Bazaar Trader is very helpful because it makes you keep the creature you steal with Yasova Dragonclaw (see here)!
@ Gelf: You missed the best card in Origins for Animar, Beastcaller Savant. You want some silly turns, cause that's how you get some silly turns (it can go infinite with itself and Cloudstone).
It seems a very good card, but it's indeed in Battle for Zendikar (which has still to be reviewed ).
I like to play both Stratus Dancer and Willbender: both morphing, and retarget sometimes is more fun than counter.
how do you play a deck like this against a Keranos, God of Storms deck?
That means we have to face many counter / control cards, Wildfire / Obliterate et similia, Anger of the Gods, Tezzeret the Seeker / Tamiyo, the Moon Sage... it seems impossible for Animar to stay into play and nothing can be played while the opponent drive his draws to deal 3 damages every single turn with Keranos, God of Storms.
Is there a specifical way to play Animar against Keranos?
P.S.: happy new year!!

I like your deck.
I've got two questions about it:
Mina and Denn, Wildborn

Thanks PopeJP for all your help.

My thought was about using a 6cc card slot to go infinite with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker while there already are Zealous Conscripts, Bounding Krasis, Deceiver Exarch and Pestermite.
There's a plus for Great Oak Guardian: it's tutorable via Fierce Empath and Green Sun's Zenith (in this cast it's very costly, Bounding Krasis seems a better choice for that tutor).
Maybe I will test it too.
Do you think that a Young Pyromancer would be useful for the number of instant / sorcery in the deck?
But I can't find at this moment a 6 cc card to drop in my deck to substitute with it: Duplicant, Prime Speaker Zegana, Soul of the Harvest, Sun Quan, Lord of Wu, Woodland Bellower... but there are also other nice cards like Draining Whelk, Oblivion Sower, Primordial Sage, Etherium-Horn Sorcerer...

Any thought about Scavenging Ooze? Did anyone try it in a Yasova deck?
Transmute may always be an interesting ability.
I play Drift of Phantasms because I want to search for Cloudstone Curio. The problem is to have enough mana to activate the transmute and to therefore play the tutored card (eg. 2GUU for Muddle the Mixture and Earthcraft in your case, 4UU for Muddle the Mixture and Cloudstone Curio in mine).
Muddle the Mixture with a morph card could also be tactical: let's think about searching for Ainok Survivalist, Den Protector, Willbender or Stratus Dancer and then playing another morph card. The opponent would be deceived by that.
Following the order:
Burning-Tree Emissary is in the list because I thought that could give a little more speed to the deck. Savage Knuckleblade is my beater to win the games.
Frost Walker is a cheap 4-strength creature (and I already had it, so I didn't have to spend money for that slot ).

- Avenger of Zendikar
- Joiner Adept
- 1 Mountain
- 1 Island
+ Beastcaller Savant
+ Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur
+ Lotus Cobra
+ Wild Cantor
I hope that these changes may give a little more speed to the deck.
Beastcaller Savant for Joiner Adept is the switch I supposed to let Beastcaller Savant enter this deck.
Do you think that there are better options?
It seems a very good card, but it's indeed in Battle for Zendikar (which has still to be reviewed ).
