After playing Vantress Gargoyle in limited and as a 4 of in my dimir standard deck, I don't think he'll be good in cube. Needing 7 cards in your opps graveyard in order to attack is too many without a dedicated mill plan. Unless he's coming down turn 2 blocking can also be unpredictable. It can be powerful in the right shell but I think it will be too inconsistent in non-mill decks.

Strictly better than two cards that have been in my Cube since the beginning. Easy include Smile

I don't really get what the faerie is borrowing but I like the card and will definitely test it out. I love my man-o-wars!

I feel like playing your creatures, hoping they survive, only to cast Henge and hoping to draw more creatures is a lot of hoops to jump through. The main draw of a card like this is the card advantage and I would rather cast Project consistently for 4 rather than messing around with Henge once I've already dumped my hand. Because Henge is so hard to cast I feel you're giving up too much value just trying to get it on board when maybe Galta would just end it there.

    **Edited for clarity

Isn't this worse than Guardian Project?

Next spoiler is up from his stream.

    Lucky Clover 2
    Artifact Uncommon

Whenever you cast an Adventure instant or sorcery spell, copy it. You may choose new
    targets for the copy.

Syr Branigan always remembered to kiss his good luck charm, having lost his foot to wolverines the last time he forgot.

    How the...

That’s like mythic level not uncommon

You get double dips on instant/sorceries and adventures without any sac necessary
Only adventure spells. Not instants, soceries AND adventures..

I prefer stronghold. Black has better life loss/card draw already available and this one really punishes you if you aren't in madness mode.
Creature recursion strapped to a land - even if only to the top of your deck is better IMO.
I agree. Having a stronghold and chupacabra on the battlefield at the same time just beats so many decks. And that's even without a sac outlet Wink

This definitely looks to be the best of the land cycle so far. Red has consistently seen more and more token generators but few anthems to work along side them. It's also the only color in my Cube that doesn't have a land designated to it. I think I'll try this castle.

I'm gonna play black sheep here and state that I like this more than the black one. This fits really well in draw-go shells, the effect could be better but the opportunity cost is very low, also preventing you from drawing too many lands in lategame is "sort of" card advantage. Plays well with Sylvan Library, Top and Jace also
The opportunity cost isn't putting it in your deck. If given to me after the draft I would play this land in almost any blue deck. The opportunity cost comes from cutting a different blue card from your Cube to include a land that will rarely have an impact on the game.

I'm not a fan even at 540. I think spending four mana to draw a card only against a control deck will be too narrow an ability in my powered environment. My main concern is how often does this ability need to be activated to justify the land being in your Cube? I think it will just be a swamp too often.

It's fine but I think it's worse than Tolarian Academy and Shelldock Isle and I have no need to run a 3rd land. Pass for me.

We're only a little over halfway through the set and we have lots of goodies already. Hopefully there's more to come!

I've always wanted an updated Fire Imp that can hit any target or have bigger stats, but this fits the bill quite nicely. What I like most about this card is that it finally gives red an answer to a blocking True-Name Nemesis.

I assume you mean for the first part of the instant, as TNN would have protection from player, so it couldn't be targeted.

Outside of that, the card seems good, as in a way, it's a psuedo-card draw for Red, which has been it's thing for a while now.

The real question becomes wether people start slotting in adventure cards as spells, or as creatures. I think that's going to be an interesting facet of how people organize their cubes now.
Anything that gives Cube designers flexibility is a good thing IMHO. Something like Murderous Rider can safely slip into a spell slot but Bonecrusher Giant might be more likely to take a creature spot since it's that half that makes the card playable. There's no "right" answer but like I said, the flexibility is nice.

There's a lot going on here and it's rather unique so I'm finding this card hard to theory craft on but my initial reaction is that it can be really good in the right decks. It locks down early attackers and can become a late game evasive win-con. It works well with graveyard strategies, tinker and artifacts-matters cards. These are all things blue decks typically want to do in my Cube. There's just a lot going on for a two mana card and I'm intrigued enough to test it out.
