This is the base of the deck, I could always switch the combo for 4x Ancestral Vision if it grows in popularity and utility (since again, I'm not particularly impressed by it in the actual meta). I'm definitely not sure about the build but I don't think a Midrange or Tapout playstyle is what UW needs now, so I want to stay in the control zone.
Any suggestions? I'm not sure about Detention Sphere but it seems nice either as removal and another answer against opponent's SotM combo or problematic permanents in general. Also, with Eye of Ugin ban, playing control against Tron is definitely hard but not awful. Negate maindeck is going to be great now, with fast combo decks trying to outspeed AV, against Infect and Burn, or against other control decks.
I would consider some copies of declaration in stone since it hits the thopter tokens.
Declaration in Stone seems really bad against thopter combo. It only works if they tap out before the end step on your turn. Otherwise they just sac the token you target.
Edit: Oops, forgot the nontoken clause on Thopter Foundry, still think declaration in stone is bad against thopter combo. They can just make more tokens and you are doing it at sorcery speed so they can still just make tokens at end of turn.
I am currently running a list very similar to Chapin's revised list from GP Charlotte and wanted to know if anyone had feedback on my sideboard. Unsure if I should have a Damnation in there, or if there are cards I should consider that are not listed. Also, not sure what I would remove if I made changes. Any input would be appreciated. Current meta has a lot of twin, some burn, some BGx decks, tron and fish. Affinitys appearance is unreliable, but sometimes a couple show up.
So I have been slowing putting this deck together and hopefully I will be able to start playing it in the next week or so, I was wondering if I could get some sideboard advice. My main questions are about Splinter Twin and Blood Moon.
What is the decks gameplay against splinter twin? Combo faster?
Interesting. When I was running UBw, I had moved up to 6 targeted removal spells plus shackles but no mana leaks. I guess with the mana leaks, I could cut smother in favor of Serums Visions. Slaughter Pact has been a MVP against Splinter Twin, so I don't think I want to remove it.
Still trying to decide if I want to put 1x Ashiok into the sideboard.
I converted my previously UBw Tezzeret build to UB this week and I am looking for advice in tweaking it. Mainly, I am looking at adding a fourth Serum Visions maindeck and possibly an Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver somewhere in the 75.
Also, I was wondering what people thought of executioner's capsule and it if was worth running.
I have been testing out some UB and UBw Tezzeret builds and have run into problems with Stony Silence after board. I have negate/spell snare in the board, but is there any way in UB to answer a resolved Stony Silence? I won one game with Tezzeret ultimates, but the others I just got ran over.
I haven't really played around with the Kiki-Resto combo, but I think it would change the deck drastically. You are adding in 10-11 more creatures between Kiki-Jiki, Restoration Angels and the obligatory Wall of Omens.
I am mainly looking to play a control deck with 4x lightning helixes due to the amount of burn and aggro decks I have been seeing lately.
This is my first version of UWR control. I am playing in a meta where the most prominent decks are burn, delver and pod. Other decks that are there sometimes include affinity, twin and zoo. Would appreciate any advice or tips because this will be my first time running it. Thanks.
I haven't had a chance to play it too much as I am still proxying some cards. I had pretty good games against a Zoo deck where I curved into Through the Breach on turn 3. I haven't played affinity yet, but I had some decent games against my friend's elemental combo deck and burn. I have never felt like I wanted Solemn Simulacrum, I would always rather be playing a Baloth in my limited experience. I would love some number of Huntmaster of the Fells in the deck, but it doesn't work very well with Anger of the Gods.

I love Chalice against Delver and Burn, but then I also am considering putting lightning bolts in the main deck in place of Farseeks which would make Chalice worse. There is a lot of burn and delver in my meta and the 3 Anger of the Gods doesn't seem to be enough. My last fetches for the deck are in the mail so hopefully I will be able to try it out in weekly tournaments soon.
This is the current version I am testing. I am curious what others think about replacing the Farseeks with Lightning Bolts. There has been a rise in burn, delver and jeskai ascendancy lately which I think the bolts would help with.
I recently decided to put together a modern deck for playing semi-competitively modern games. I don't have any fetch lands, Cryptic Command or Vendilion Clique yet and I probably won't be purchasing them anytime soon. The deck was modeled after the UR Tempo Twin deck by Patrick Dickmann on the first page. I was considering entering a small tournament at a LGS with it to get some more experience.

I could pick up another Engineered Explosives if it is worth having a second in the board. I saw the Sword of Feast and Famine on some list somewhere, I don't know that it actually makes any sense though. I put in Shatterstorm because I have no fetches to get the Stomping Ground for Ancient Grudge, I could alternatively put in Vandalblast or some other artifact hate. Not sure what else makes sense to put in, or if I should just put more copies of cards I already have in.
Also, any advice on the main deck would be great, I left Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker to a single copy because I thought the mana might be difficult.
