Jun 2, 2013mykatdied posted a message on Legacy Pox #5: Game SwapI like the deck and your breakdowns seem pretty good so far. 3 scroll I agree is definitely a must. I personally use spinning darkness in my build. Against any type of aggro or burn deck it can be the 3 life you gain that saves you. Honestly I have dropped nether void as I have yet to find it worthwhile to my personal play style. I also have drifted towards Black and white smallpox but thanks to your posts I have decided to try out some testing of MB again. I based my list off of Duke's 3rd place SCG open list. I actually added Sensei's divining top to it to smooth out those grindy draws which occur so often. I personally use 2 extirpates and 1 surgical as my s/b yard hate. I also dropped in 2 ratchet bombs because they deal with needles and JTMS which has spelled so much death for me in the past. It could also be your answer to entreat if you try it out. I like your list a lot and if I owned a tabernacle I would completely be on that boat with you. GOOD JOB man. Someone has to keep Pox alive.Posted in: gigapatrick Blog

You discard Dakmor Salvage to activate Seismic Assault, triggering The Gitrog Monster to draw a card. Replace the draw with dredge and repeat until your opponents face is dead.
When you don't have assault, you just need to learn to manage your dredging loam better. You should only be consistently dredging loam and casting when you have assault online. Using cards like faithless looting really help you dig through your deck to throw lands away that can be loamed back later. You should try taking more draw steps when you don't need the lands and when you do need to make an additional land drop or get more fuel to discard, then definitely take the chance and dredge loam back.
Honestly I would never assume the Death's Shadows decks to be an issue for us. Grixis delver or Grixis control which can drop an angler and tempo us out if we can't find enough land to double spell is generally our only real weakness. Jund can be tough as well since they have enough relevant disruption and good threats like Tarmogoyf to back it up.
My manabase currently
2 City of Traitors
4 Flagstones of Trokair
6 Plains
4 Mishra's Factory
4 Wasteland
I am a big fan of commune with the gods over Vessel of Nascency since it digs 1 deeper, though I do suppose vessel can be used at instant speed so the trade off is likely worth it.
I'm excited to test my creatureless variant. I will likely have a pair of iona and a single Elesh Norn in the sideboard.
