The people I won't govern aren't townreads. The people I will govern are.
How is this better than governing anyone regardless of who it is? Like if we lynch one of your scumreads and you're wrong about them, we'll have lost a townie. But if you govern them, we'll either know that they are, in fact, scum, in which case they'll either be vigged that night or lynched immediately the next day, or that they're town. Since you've already claimed, it makes no sense not to use your ability bc if you're town and choose not to use it, that paints a pretty big target on your head as far as the NK goes.

Also, governing would clear up the the issue of votes actually being redirected to different players, or if the vote counts just appear messed up.

What's puzzling me is that both Imab and Leuko are specifically listed as modkilled in the the OP, but Hawk was "deleted" and listed in the dead column.

@Hunt - So does your ability mean that mafia have daychat? I'm really confused as to how your ability would resolve with two different mafias though.

I'll go back a check, but I feel like the biggest thing happening that early in the game was everyone taking sides on Tom vs. TS. If that timeframe matches up, I'd argue that's pretty strong evidence that Tom is town but I guess it's flawed in the sense that Tom could still be on the side of whichever mafia that didn't post that.

Oh hey, I forgot this game was happening. Whoops.

I'm here now and will start posting regularly though.

@Nacho - idk if you've clarified this and it might be a dumb question in general, but does your PM say that the day will end immediately after you pardon somebody?

In any case, I think that we should all decide on someone we want Nacho to pardon while we wait for the mod to figure out what to do with the status of the game. This way, we'll already be somewhat organized when the game becomes active again. I think we should all list our three top choices and see who comes up most frequently. Mine would be Ghosting, GJ, or Hawk.

yeah, Idk if this'll work but

    Unvote
    Vote: Vaimes

Scum have got to have some sort of power left because the roles we've seen so far have been super weak. Limited roleblocks, publicly announced BP, someone who can't communicate with the rest of the team, 1-shot neighborizer, and to top that all off with a vanilla is absurdly underpowered to go up against a town with multiple investigative roles, confirmed townies, and a reviver, etc.

I realized that in the event that Rhand is lynched pretty soon, I just want to go ahead and establish coordination now so there's no chance we'll mess up our night actions.

If Rhand flips town, I am going to investigate Vaimes. @GJ - You rolecop Hunt

If anybody still has an invention, either roleblock Nacho or protect either GJ or me. I can't remember if any inventions are still floating around / what they even are.

If there's something else that'll work better, lemme know and I'll be happy to switch (though I don't really think it makes a difference), but if I don't see anything before the end of day, this is what I'm going to do.

I'm taking a break from vomiting irl to post some quick thoughts.

At this point, I don't think we can lose. Today we just need to lynch Rhand.

If the game doesn't end there, I (finally) get to investigate vaimes or huntzilla and GJ covers the other one. Either me or GJ will be nk'd but that doesn't matter bc the other will be able to share his information and cross off one of vaimes/huntzilla as a suspect. Lynch whichever one's left and we win.

The only chance of error is if Nacho is scum, but I think he's the least likely of the candidates right now. Even if this is the case, I think(?) that we would still be able to lynch Nacho if all else fails, but somebody should doublecheck this math.

@Nacho - do you still have any inventions left/did you target anyone last night?

    Vote: Rhand

    Vote: Jobie

Guys, I've got a really good role-related reason to vote Jobie. Grin

With this this dichotomy, would it even make sense for me to investigate Nacho if Jobie flips town? I would assume no bc I can't see them both being town. But Jobie's gotta be scum because it would have been suicide for Nacho to just make up information framing a townie.

I suppose it's possible that they're both scum and this is a last ditch gambit for Nacho to endgame, but I really doubt this is the case since scum already had a roleblocker and a bulletproof. It doesn't make sense for them to have a role that gives out RB, BP, and doc shots.

@whoever asked what I thought of D_V insisting that it's not D2 - I don't really know what to make of it. In saying this, D_V is not only contradicting what I know to be true from my role, but also what has been explicitly stated in the thread. One of D_V's earlier posts made me start thinking that perhaps his post restriction is only triggered on certain days and my ability to bypass entire days distorts which days his PR activates (ex: his PR happens every other day starting D1, but when I used my ability it became every other day starting D2 since D1 didn't exist), but I'm not too sure how feasible that is. In any case, I don't think D_V's PR is permanent, so hopefully he'll be able to shed more light on it later.

@Hawk - did you respond to the question in my last post?

I just wanted to respond to this thing really quickly, but I'll read through all the more recent posts when I have more time later today.

@GJ - Who is the "us" that you refer to in your T/S list?

    ex:

    Nachomamma8
I like him, I like his role. The paranoia about the game style is the only second of hesitance I would give to this slot.

Strong town read from me, Lean town read from us.

I am doing my research right now. The shards are nothing more than my play things. You have one opportunity to admit you lied about skipping the day. If one of us finds out that you were lying, I won't care if you are an innocent child cop, I will lynch you. This is your only opportunity: Did you actually influence day 1?
If by "influence day 1," you mean cause the game to skip the entire day 1 and night 1 phase, then the answer is yes.

Do you think I'm bluffing? Because your tone seems to indicate that you do.

    @Everyone else
I think hans is my biggest town read right now.
    Can you explain why?

Something about the way Ghosting responded to Hawk claiming makes me think Ghosting is scum. I don't even know how to convey it though... it just seems weird. Specifically posts #227 and #228 though.

@Hans-Feel free to chime in anytime you like. What is the town motivation to claim there? I've asked this question so many times and no one can seem to provide any reasonable town motivation for Hans to claim there as town.

    lol no

    Quote from leukovirus »

@hans sorry if youve already answered this and i didnt see, but how do you feel about this big reaction to tapping's question. what are your reads on tom and tapping right now.
My gut says it's a town/town argument based on how both thinks he is right (i.e. Tom genuinely thinks I'm town and TS genuinely thinks that it's scummy that I'm withholding information), but I could be wrong about either one. I'm sorta skeptical of Tom dogmatically townreading me for no legitimate reason, which would imply he's scum and already knows I'm town, but then I don't think he would have the guts to openly tell Nacho to govern him like he did a couple times already. So I think they're both town atm. I suppose TS could be scum hoping to push through a mislynch, but he's been way too whiney for this to be the case, imo.

    ----
Do you guys think D_V's post restriction is similar to Juliet? I guess it's not really important, but that's what comes to mind when I read his posts.

Also, that No Lynch guy is probably scum and you all should vote him.

Not sure what you and Tom are talking about. I never said I want to hide my alignment. The fact that you are taking Tom's words at face value and running with them seems like a scum slip here. Please post where I said that I want to keep my alignment hidden.
    wat.

I don't even know what you are talking about? I didn't say anything about you wanting to hide your alignment. And which of Tom's words am I taking at face value? Nothing in this post even makes sense.

An interesting thought, considering you are voting No Lynch right now. Why is GJ scum for voting No Lynch, and not you? Also, if that's the case, I think your post is missing something.

    Its a vote. For GJ.
