I think this is unfair to those who don't have a favorite magic card.
Thinking hard would give me:
Past in Flames
I'm a Johnny. This is a Johnny card. I love non permanent spells more than anything else in magic, and this works really (like really) well with them, while being one itself. It enables cool combo (and control!) decks, which are my favorite type of decks. It's just all around good.
I really like Past in Flames. Even if my favorite colour is blue :/

The Compass and the Diamonds ETBT, meaning they don't give me any mana on the turn I play them (with cost reducers (Usually the Helm and the Anvil) all my manafacts are free and tap for mana).Posted in: Deck Compilation
This actually builds me storm counts. The Frantic Search is in.
The deck has played like a Storm Combo deck that wins through Leering Emblem or Runechanter's Pike Damage.
The Mind's Desire actually hasn't been great. I've only used it once, with a storm count higher than the number of cards left in my library and I could have just gone through my library and won anyways. Maybe it could have helped me "combo out" earlier but I was waiting to draw that turnabout. -

Which it was. What is your point?
I use one in my Glissa deck. It makes Cabal Coffers go from great to ridiculous.
Cool esper general. Make a control deck, this is your finisher.
Makes sense I guess, I was jut curious what you'd get done. Is gals tattooing you?
Gals, do people ever get their dicks tattoo'd?
Must be oh so painful.
Care to share?
I feel like ISB had the right idea, and the rest of the forum did not.
I'd actually be down with the top X% of cards from the "what card would you want banned" thread. People who discredit the idea don't seem to give statistics and other players enough credit. I get it it's cool to hate on society/the average person to prove how much better than them you are, but even on the "guess how many marbles in the jar" game, the best strategy is to ask as many people as possible and to average the result.
I'd actually wonder what a format with the above banlist would look like.
EDIT: I've been supes busy, and have been enjoying my masters more than I thought I would. I also resolved an argument with my gf, and have a date on monday. I also spend 7 of my last 9 days writing papers. I should be done today for at least 3 days.
I love life atm.
My own; I'm sick so I'm spending a day at home - a single class.
I had so many plans today though :(.
In the process of, I'm going on mtgs way less than I used to. From multiple times a day to once in as many days.
I felt that way about reddit before, but then I gave it another shot and I've barely been back to mtgs since. I know everything has an end, but I've been on mtgs for like ~7 years, and I wondered when I'd stop.
Reddit is when I stop.
Unfortunately, almost every variation of TheEndIsNear was taken.
I also made a new deck yesterday that was very much unlike most decks I own.
It did quite well. Nicol Bolas is a champ.
That sounds really disrespectful. But I'm not married.
I'm back from Washington DC.
I don't have very many nice things to say about my trip. All America stereotypes I've heard were true, and the only positive one has to do with people being friendly.
EDIT: I had to use a public washroom once. I tried to fill the gap, why the **** do people outside need to see me using it?! Why is the game like 2.5 cm wide?! Also, the toilets were indeed FULL of water.
Yeah, and IIRC, you also work in computer security, right?
Right, I will be doing a computer science masters, and a cryptography related thesis. I don't yet know what, as I tend to be very wary not to bite more thna I can chew. Homomorphic encryption is a really hot topic, but super complicated. Anything quantum also seems really complicated, but probably is simpler once you know the basics (which I keep needing to remind myself, I have a terrible memory). Lattice based crypto is suitably complicated, quite interesting, and can also be quantum resistant. Position based crypto interested me as well. I'd be more on the *looking for word* algorithm side of crypto rather than the higher level of stuff.
My undergrad was in Software Engineering (which I think I liked less than I would have Comp Sci)
"So, over the past 4 months, I applied for a Thesis based Masters (pre PhD), got guaranteed a spot. Then I was told I was not admissible. Then I was told I could do classes as a special student, and a Master after. Then I was told this would take a year and decided against it. Then I was told I could do a project(not pre PhD) based masters, and then was told they didn't "want" me. I sent an email telling them why I was the best candidate.
So I am now admitted in a Thesis based Masters at <school>."
