I think this is unfair to those who don't have a favorite magic card.
Thinking hard would give me:

I'm a Johnny. This is a Johnny card. I love non permanent spells more than anything else in magic, and this works really (like really) well with them, while being one itself. It enables cool combo (and control!) decks, which are my favorite type of decks. It's just all around good.
I really like Past in Flames. Even if my favorite colour is blue :/

I am aware of how how people think it works. What they do is the take your donated hair and sell it to buy wigs, cause hair sells for a decent amount, and wigs are expensive.
I wonder how many would still go through if they knew the above fact. It's still 100% the same nice gesture, but I feel like people are being tricked into to "they'll wear MY hair?! OMG, I'll be forever in their mind."

That ***** is insane.
To be fair, it's probably not the tattoo, but the mindset that it entails. Tattoos mean a very different thing to people outside Tattoo culture. I view tattoos like some might view poly amorous marriages, something I totally get other people are into, and I totally get that they have their own subculture, but in my current state I would never want to join. To me, something like that could look REALLY badly.
Impulse tattoos are one of those scary things that might make me reconsider a relationship. This obviously shows we have different points of view on stuff that could be important (**** doing big, permanent impulsive decisions, ever) so uhh, better cut our losses.
