Most men? How about most "people." Women say stuff like that all the time.

Well, Donald Trump talking about how he wanted to bang some chick, then she said "nah" and he was like "okay" and walked away is somehow evidence that he's a rapist. And this controversy is bigger than the one where he doesn't pay more taxes than he has to (as opposed to everyone else who throws away their tax refund checks, I guess).

Well, at least I got to live the dream (Redirect Twin onto Adept) before the ban.

Time for maindeck Chalice of the Void?

Can people honestly not see how weird they look when they say we need government-funded college? (And "government-funded higher education" is an oxymoron, ffs; quit phrasing it like that).

"The fact that public schools aren't that good has made it so literally everyone needs additional schooling afterwards, therefore those schools should be absorbed into the public school system!"

I have my own weird-ass theory that people's exhaustion with the PC contradictions subconsciously makes them support Trump.

Well, humans come from apes that had genetic mutations. And mammals came from bugs that had genetic mutations.

    I didn't replace Obliterator. I run 4 Obliterator and 4 Lashwrithe.

AC you're certainly going all in on the Lifelink/Lashwrithe plan. Soulflayer seems interesting with all your Lifelinked flyers. Very quirky deck, I like it(though not really devotion without Gary). I'm guessing the lack of Thoughtseize/IoK are just budget issues?

Well, I got 3 sacrifice effects and 4 targeted destruction. I figure I'll hardly ever Thoughtsieze away a creature anyway.

Gatekeeper of Malakir is SO GOOD against Jund. Like really good. Jund doesn't usually run a lot of really big creatures so Gatekeeper is almost always a 2-for-1. Jund is strong because its effecient at 1-for-1ing people. When you put them on a game plan where they have to compete against your 2-for-1s you are extremely favored against them. I know its awkward to over fill the 3-drop slot but I highly recommend 4 Gatekeepers and 4 Messengers against Jund. Those 8 cards can almost beat Jund by themselves. That's for anyone who plays in a Jund heavy meta.

For Tron, I find that you need to have 1 of two plans against Tron. Be fast or be disruptive. Mono-B doesn't really have the tools to really disrupt Tron's game plan to any worthwhile degree. This is where I like things like Bloodghast, Messenger, and Gray Merchant. Bloodghast helps you fight through O. Stone. So does Messenger. If you can get Tron down to 10 or less before they drop O. Stone, Bloodghast can often finish out the game due to recurssion and Haste. Gray Merchant is also really good because against O. Stone you need ETB value. Any creature that doesn't do anything the minute it hits the field is going to die before you get any value out of it. Gary can either shut out a game on the back of Bloodghast or it can get your opponent under that magical 10 life total so that Ghast gets it haste to finish out the game.

Against Twin, any card that hates on tokens is good. Illness In the Ranks pretty much shuts down the combo because Splinter Twin, and Kikki-Jikki, create tokens. If they copy Pestermite it dies immediately due to 0 toughness. If they copy Deceiver Exarch it is useless due to 0 power.

I tried Geralf's Messenger (and Gray Merchant) online, and it REALLY helped against Tron. Maybe I'll try out Bloodghast in a bit as well. Against Twin, Illness in the Ranks might lose points if Bounding Krasis becomes popular.

EDIT: Also, Sadistic Sacrament makes Living End pretty annoyed.

Went 3-3 at GP Pittsburgh. Maybe shouldn't have dropped, just to get a better sample. Went 2-1 at the GPT the day before.

Notes, mostly off memory and the life total sheets, so pretty fuzzy:
    Round 1: 2-0 v Jund
Game 1: Won off Gatekeeper of Malakir.
Game 2: Won off 3 Lashwrithes.

    Round 2: 1-2 v Abzan
Game 1: Kept a 1-lander and got beaten because of it.
Game 2: Went first, and out-tempoed him due to Fulminator mage.
Game 3: Lost to Lingering Souls.

    Round 3: 2-1 Naya Burn
    Game 1: Lost.
Game 2: Won the race at 4 life.
Game 3: Got down to 1 life, then made a comeback due to lifelink.

    Round 4: 2-1 v Gruul burn
Game 1: Didn't bother taking his Magus of the Moon off the Thoughtsieze. Won while at 4 life.
Game 2: Got sped out. He won at 13 life.
Game 3: Won mostly due to discard spells.

    Round 5: 0-2 GR Tron
Game 1-2: Got beaten by multiple O Stones. His only loss at the time was to Craig Wescoe, so he was pretty good.

    Round 6: 0-2 Grixis Twin
Game 1-2: Got Comboed out. Including once where he had to topdeck it or lose.

Still did better than some famous players (at my first GP), so I'll take it. I recently squeezed another Soulflayer in the list, and replaced Relics of Progenitus with Nihil Spellbombs.

Let's say I tell my kids that King Arthur really existed. Then I tell them that he got tortured to death, and it's their fault. Then I tell them that they need to worship King Arthur or else his ghost would suck out their blood. Would that be child abuse? Would the answer somehow change if I taught the same stuff, but about some other guy named Jesus?

There's a few religions for which this debate can happen, and Christianity isn't one of them.

Deny. Same reason Native Americans [should have] denied the Europeans.
You think tens of thousands of refugees are going to kick us off our land and put us into reservations?

1: Their kids (or kids' kids' kids' kids, whatever) will.

2: In a sense, they sort of already are. One can think of the reservation as "anywhere but a few certain neighborhoods."

Any thoughts on Relic of Progenitus vs Threads of Disloyalty? Since they're both anti-Tarmogoyf cards, is there any point running both in the side?

Also, a while ago I commented that top control was practically custom-made to beat us. I was feeling slick siding in 3 Recalls and 2 Steel Sabotages, but he just noped them off the top or from my hand.

I find that if my opponent is doing fetch+shock, then they're really fast, and I'll be annoyed that I have a 1/3 without any combat abilities.

What are some cards you splash to make the deck you're own?

    Hmmm.

Yeah, I think I thought O Stone cost 4 to cast, rather than 3. I'll replace 1 spellskite with a steel sabotage and 1 phantasmal image with a harbinger of the tides.

Went 3-3 with M'Olk at Channelfireball's 1k. I'm mostly pleased, since I'm not used to that meta.

Is there a good play style against top control? That deck seemed pretty much custom-made to beat me. Also lost to Gr Tron (perhaps because I overextended into Oblivion Stone) and Podless Naya (Knight of the Reliquary kept him from having an Island).
