I was wondering what I should put in the sideboard and if cutting Nephalia Drownyard for Thespians Stage would be worth it (Dark Depths combo interaction). The manabase seems like it might need some help as well. I have the means, just need to tune it right, would Seachrome Coast be good (higher chance to draw it)? Or is Flooded Strand just plain better? Also Command Tower and some others have been floating through my head. I know I don't NEED black on turn 1 as the disruption is to clear the way for the combo, but I'm terrible with mana (as stated) and a portion of it is devoted to the Marit Lage combo.
I like Merieke Ri Berit to keep you alive against opposing monsters that hit the table and Thousand-Year Elixir plays nicely with her, but Sydri, Galvanic Genius has some toys to play with and merits a mention at least.
Some suggestions I got were to add Thousand-Year Elixir, Blue Sun's Zenith instead of Sphinx's Revelation, Mental Misstep and that Sword of Feast and Famine was cuttable. I just don't know what else to cut for them.
I like having multiple plans of attack. Combo out w/ artifacts (5 hard tutors for it), Beatdown with Geist of Saint Traft, Mill them with Zenith and Drownyard (drownyard could be Thespians Stage), or get Marit Lage onboard with hexmage/stage combo.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Tinker was in there simply to put 5 hard tutors for my combo and it works with the artifact lands as well. So if I run Thousand-Year I could make an ever better case for it.
I'm trying to get the deck to have multiple plans of attack because the combo is weak to ancient grudge, Rest in Peace etc... I put Drownyard as an alternate win-con (but Blue Sun's could be a better way), GoST is in there for the beatdown strategy and DD is my other gameplan. I'm definitely gonna throw my foil Mercadian Masques Counterspell in there (any excuse is a good one!)
As for Sphinx's Rev, I'm taking a bit of dmg on myself by setting up the early game with not many blockers, plus the Thoughtseize and BoB points add up. Is the lifegain neglegable in this format or is it worth running Blue Sun's Zenith because my combo (even Pili-Pala or any 1/1) gains me life from the GY?
I keep thinking "what about blood moon" and then I'm like "oh yeah... tiny" lol
How's the manabase look With Thespians Stage instead of Drownyard? Still need some more lands? I have Flooded Strand, Marsh Flats and Polluted Delta. Very few basics but I have 5 to fetch with a strand and delta.

I was wondering what I should put in the sideboard and if I should (or could) cut anything for a Thespian's Stage (for another Dark Depths combo interaction)?
Also what commander seems to be the best fit for this deck? I like Merieke to keep you alive against opposing monsters that hit the table but Sydri has some toys to play with in the deck as well.
My meta consists of Geist of Saint Traft, Anafenza, Shu-Yun and other less relevant decks.
I agree and (as you can see in my sig) I predicted the filters would come before the fetches or in Origins, plus they're just due for a reprint. It would really help the modern price of entry as well. Sunken Ruins are getting up there.
Also Windbrisk Heights and Mosswort Bridge seem pretty legit. Shelldock Isle would be nice in tiny leaders.
Ephara straight up wins me games that I have no business being in. She's really good but that could just be my meta making her good. Once you get some sort of blink engine or Survival of the Fittest or something online you pretty much just draw a card every upkeep. Exploration was put in there because this deck is pretty slow to start and as such, is prone to dying early if you don't get any ramp, it used to be Kodama's Reach and I feel like it's better at doing that job in the early game, while still being relevant late-game with utility lands. Kiora's Follower is a card that I put in any GU deck I ever make. It's incredibly versatile, ramp, extra commander activations etc... Although I could see this one being cut as well because I used to run a "toolbox" land base and cumulative upkeep cards to keep me alive in the early games (quickly realized that doesn't work with our deck ). Maze of Ith and Kiora's Follower is just plain dirty. "oh you have a combat trick for the other attacker? Let me switch this up a bit." I wanted to make room for Ixidron and Sower of Temptation but I feel like I'm making my curve way too high and going to end up durdling in the early game. Also used to run Galepowder Mage, Fierce Empath, Champion of Lambholt and some others but I realized I was way too creature heavy.
How about Sea Gate Oracle? I notice most of you don't run it, but I don't have Rhystic Study or Mystic Remora in my list (I'd like to make room for the latter).
Love the Rocksteady alter!

I think the extra body helps out more than the "inevitability" of it returning to your hand. Flickerwisp and Sun Titan can return Lone Missionary a million times as well so there's already inevitability in the deck, it doesn't have a "more life" clause either and it comes with the added bonus of putting another body on the field.
At least I think that's why he chose Missionary over Pulse of the Fields. Although if you went heavier on the Snapcaster Mages and the counter package I could definitely see that as a welcome addition.
I might try to tweak this into Snappy Titan/Suncaster Titan/Suncaster Mage or something along those lines because I just love Snapcaster Mage no matter what the hell I'm doing with him. Although reactive control isn't placed very well in the meta these days.
On a side note: I took 3rd in a BaB with this deck, replacing Leyline of Sanctity with Timely Reinforcements for budget reasons. Everyone in my area plays Abzan Midrange and this deck just crushes them with brutality.
P.S. - Coiling Oracle/Courser of Kruphix/Oracle of Mul Daya would be sweet reasons to go G. Plus all the mana ramping you could do to turn Emeria on quicker. Exploration type stuff etc... but I think I'm getting into magical christmas land here in a Bant flavored package, TALLY HO!
A sideboard strategy would help us new guys get back into the swing of things
I doubt he ever 'beats' with the missionary. At most I'm guessing it's on chump duty at all times and recurring it with Flickerwisp as many times as possible seems to be the burn gameplan. If Snapcaster Mage were in the list the CMC would matter early on as well (as you'd want to be holding some mana up).
Also how about Timely Reinforcements instead of the Kor Firewalker I see in some of the lists?
Really good against burn and we aren't gaining life unless we really want to be. Good card against a lot of "at the face" strategies. I am probably going to run 1 as a replacement for Leyline of Sanctity as I sold all my LoS's into the hype train and I'd bet my left nut it'll be reprinted in MM2.
