Someone should go over the DGM strategy as it sits right now. I'm not a premier member so I'm sure the article by Reid Duke goes over the DGM additions and subtractions but I'd really like to hear some sideboard, strategy and other combo's in the meta as it sits now. It seems that Naya has Jund "most concered" at the moment.

Also for the DRS vs Ground Seal debate, everytime I play it, DRS is constantly "pulling you back" if that makes sense. Jund needs to move foward, get ahead, draw cards, make your opponent get rid of cards etc... etc... DRS abilities take mana maintenance and it seems like he's always "holding you back" from getting ahead of your opponent and dropping your sire. If I was forced to think of a card to put in against beatdown decks I'd rather have an elf to speed things up and against graveyard decks I'd rather have Ground Seal out there. (my 2 cents)

That's my B/W Lifelink Triple Strike deck.

You included 3 Godless Shrine's and not the 4th? Also throw some Isolated Chapel's in there too! Fencing Ace, Tragic Slip for some defense etc... etc....

While we're at it let's just Boros Charm+Azorius Charm our Boros Reckoner and never have to worry about life again? Infinite life = Thumbs Up

Dude, Vexing Devils straight up rock! It's a card that I thought was going to be banned when it came out. Who in their right mind is NOT going to pay the 4 life to leave him on the board while he wipes the floor with you next turn? I guess it's because I use Cavern of Souls to cast them but that card is straight up broken IMHO.

I have built and played a deck close to Owen Turtenwald Jund. It is fun, but not a skill-less deck to play.

The most important thing I can say about this deck is that it's primary win condition is essentially "Get ahead on board, empty opponent's hand.". The creatures are incredibly efficient and quite good at generating 2-for-1s. Farseek, Bonfire, and abrupt decay are all very important to the deck and you'll lose a ton of playability against aggro decks if you omit them.

Rakdos's Return and Sire of Insanity are near-essential to victory against midrange and control decks, and are also very important to the deck. If you're only planning on getting some of the cards, I would keep the essentials in mind.

I think the cards that will retain value are the non-rotating ones (specifically Sire and Shocklands). Otherwise all of the cards will drop (with the exception of the few cards that are used heavily in other formats). The cards I see retaining the most value are Liliana of the Veil, Cavern of Souls, and maybe Huntmaster of the Fells, depending on the strength of Jund in modern post-bans (It looks terrible for him right now).

Is the deck fun? I'm just sick of attacking outright and would like a deck that takes a little thought. In other words, if you we're playing Naya would you switch to this deck until the cycle?

I have a Naya Blitz deck that is getting really old really quick. Cavern>humans>champion>blah blah blah. Id like to play a deck with a little more interesting stuff going on and Jund seems to be where its at. I have quite a trade binder and the entire naya blitz ddeck w/ silverblade pallys nearheaths, fiend hunters and a set of ghor clan rampagers boros charms and the like. basically im wondering if it would be worth spending some money and a bunch of my cards to build a deck to play until Innistrad gets cycled. (September?)
So I'd ideally be running Owen Turtenwalds jund:
    4 Blood Crypt0/2
    2 Cavern of Souls 4/2
    2 Dragonskull Summit0/2
    2 Kessig Wolf Run0/2
    4 Overgrown Tomb1/4
    3 Rootbound Crag4/3
    4 Stomping Ground4/4
    4 Woodland Cemetery1/4

    4 Huntmaster of the Fells2/4
    3 Olivia Voldaren2/3
    2 Sire of Insanity1/2
    4 Thragtusk0/4

    1 Abrupt Decay0/4
    3 Bonfire of the Damned0/3
    1 Dreadbore1/1
    4 Farseek3/4
    2 Ground Seal0/2
    2 Mizzium Mortars1/2
    2 Putrefy5/2
    1 Rakdos Keyrune1/1
    1 Rakdos's Return0/1
    2 Tragic Slip4/2

    2 Garruk, Primal Hunter0/2
    1 Liliana of the Veil1/1

    Sideboard
    1 Deadbridge Chant1/1
    1 Duress1/1
    1 Ground Seal0/1
    2 Liliana of the Veil0/2
    1 Mizzium Mortars0/1
    2 Pillar of Flame1/2
    1 Rakdos's Return0/1
    2 Tragic Slip2/2
    2 Vampire Nighthawk0/2
    2 Vraska the Unseen 1/2

So you can see there what cards i have and what I don't have, however I have a bunch of shock lands, 2 voice of resurgence, vexing devil, supreme verdict, ral zarek, nevermore, Aurelias Fury, boros battleshaper foil and tons upon tons of others that I can't remember. I have at least 1 of every split card.

TLDR? If you we're me and got bored of creatures, wanting to smite someone's hopes and dreams with instant game changers and had a deck list like that to build and play for a summer, would you do it?

Also if there are any farseers out there, how do you think the value of these cards will hold up after rotation?

    Thanks for the help.

I ran into Blind Obedience in every match but one. WPoT worked out so-so but I went 3-1 for the night. I lost my first match 1-2 as well so the night was kinda blegh after that. But I went 2-0, 2-0, 2-1. The 1 I lost I was out of it and played two Thalia's (which destroyed each other DERRRR:thumbsdown:) so it was an off night for me.

If you're winning in spite of those obstacles, then don't make many drastic changes. As you noted, you'll sacrifice the speed and power of what you're trying to do, which is kill the opponent. At most, throw some War Priests in the side if you feel you need them.

You mean to say that your deck doesn't have any reach? Boros Charms can go to the dome for 4 if you need it.

Last week I sided 14 plains and a ruination wurm. Lol. This week I think WPoT Nearheath, Boros charms and fiend hunters are going in. Thanks for the help! I'll let you know how I do.

Whats your non-creatures maindeck? You don't want to dilute the creature base and run too many non-creatures esp when u side.

I actually don't run a single spell in the deck. I run 3 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben (because I usually play control) or 3 Nearheath Pilgrim (if Thalia is "sub-optimal"), 2 Ghor-Clan Rampager and 2 Silverblade Paladin in place of the 4 spears and 3 growths.

Yeah, it's looking like War Priest of Thune is going to be the answer but it might be worth sideboarding in a couple of Tears just in case i get overwhelmed. Last week I got two games with a Blind Obedience on turn two and won them both (one game went down to 1 life and opponent had 13, a Nearheath Pilgrim saved me and ended up winning the game). I like WPoT because he jells with Cavern of Souls humans and also serves his purpose as destroying the control card. However I got a lot of Detention Sphere, Oblivion Ring and Supreme Verdict as well last week. So running a set of Ray of Revelations and Boros Charm might be really handy this week. (the flashback and instant effect being super awesome as opposed to WPoT's enter battlefield effect)

But on the other hand putting those enchantments in mean taking something out and sacrificing the speed of my deck.

It's so tough deciding what to play.
The metagame at my store is mostly control with a few ppl playing odd decks to see how they turn out (Token decks, Maze's End with a lot of defense and Fog, guy even played an Omniscience in the game that went to 1 life!) so it should be interesting.

Hey there! First post here and I'm relatively new to MTG. I'm running Naya Blitz with a few changes. Silverblade Paladin and Nearheath Pilgrim for one.
I won FNM last week with the same deck and I just KNOW that everyone is going to be bringing their playset's of Blind Obedience. I'm wondering what I should do to take care of it?
    -Tear From Wear // Tear?
    -War Priest of Thune
-What is that card that costs :1mana::symw: and has ":symg::symtap: Flashback: Destroy Target Enchantment"??? EDIT: Ray of Revelation might be nice because I ran into a LOT of Detention Sphere and Oblivion Rings as well.

A human creature with :?mana::symtap: destroy target enchantment. Would be ideal but I don't know if one exists.

Also for Supreme Verdict is Boros Charm the best answer for that?

Thanks to anyone for the help!
