Just wanted to mention that Day's Undoing will actually exile itself upon resolution. It's not explicitly stated but in the reminder text it mentions it.
This is my take a on combo-control version of Jori En, Ruin Diver. Using several cheap cantrips in conjunction with others spells to trigger Jori, you can begin drawing 2-3 extra draws per turn. This allows you to constantly have answers in hand to disrupt your opponents until you can draw into combo pieces to finish the game.
The deck is not at all fine tuned right now; there are many sub par cards within the list. Over the next few weeks I will update as I acquire cards to improve the deck. Currently, there are far too many counterspells so I am thinking that I cut the weaker ones for more win conditions but I'm not sure what to put in.
This is my take on the new Ezuri from Commander 2015. I started from the pre-con so I'll be tuning it up from there though, as I said in the title, this will be a more casual build for now so there will be many choices that are sub-optimal.
Mystic Confluence is already back down to a skosh over 1000 puca points.
MC would probably be a problem in Modern because of Cryptic Command. Having a control curve of CC into MC would make a lot of draw-do haters double-plus unhappy.
Has anyone tried Canadian Highlander? It sounds like the kind of format that would really bug a large portion of the EDH community, and I suspect it is way more trouble than it's worth.
I recently decided to try the format out with some of my friends and so far it seems like an enjoyable format. It's definitely more fast-paced than regular multiplayer EDH since it's 1 v 1 and requires that you play with an actual curve but it still feels closer to EDH than Modern from my experience. I don't know how it compares to Duel Commander though.
This deck is mostly an evolution of my old Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury token deck. I didn't like the dragon subtheme that Kolaghan encouraged so I switched commander. Nin, the Pain Artist is essentially the same thing with the black cards just being changed to sweet blue cards. The deck is still a token based aggro deck that tries to chip away at my opponents' life totals until I can finish them off with a surprise hasty army. It's also my "casual" deck which I bring out when I know my opponent's also have lower powered decks. As such, the deck isn't very tuned and is most likely going to remain that way for quite some time.
My very first EDH deck was based around artifacts but I had taken it apart long ago as I wasn't very happy with it. Ever since then I've wanted to build another artifact centric deck but never got around to it. More recently, I've been wanting to build with Jeskai Ascendancy for a while so I decided to combine both into one deck and try to make it work.
The deck attempts to accelerate very quickly with mana rocks and then play a huge draw spell such as Wheel of Fortune or Recurring Insight to refill my hand.
Narset, Enlightened Master would most likely be a better commander for this sort of deck but I dislike how she warps the deckbuilding process to encourage huge swingy spells. I prefer Shu Yun as he synergises with what the deck wants to do rather than being what decides what the deck does.
The reason that Pontiff of Blight and other cards with extort are legal in non-white or non-black decks is because the mana symbol is not actually in the rules text of the cards. They are part of the reminder text (the italicised words) which is not considered when checking for the colour identity of a card.
There's Pitiless Horde who's a hasty threat that's got protection from board wipes in the late game. There's also Herald of Torment who's got evasion and can also make another creature even bigger. Both are decent and let you curve in to Rakdos. Another option is Hunted Horror though the pro black creatures you give someone else may be more relevant in the early game. Late game they matter much less against everyone else's huge monsters.
The problem with Possibility Storm and Hellcarver Demon is that casting spells off of the demon doesn't trigger Possibility Storm as the enchantment reads "from hand"
In my non-combo Tasigur list, I've designed it specifically so I can draw as many cards as possible off of Ad Nauseam. This means that the curve is as low as I can get it and there are a few more lands than most lists I've seen. The low curve also let's me run Bob which is just as powerful as in other formats.
I do run Dig though as it's just such a powerful card and the curve is still low enough that one big flip isn't the end for me.
When I do cast AN I can usually draw 6+ cards with minimal life loss which is incredible for a 5 mana instant. The most I remember drawing was 18 cards after losing 10 life. I definitely recommend Ad Nauseam if you think that you can handle the life loss.

Those are some of the better cards that trigger off of life gain.
There's also Vizkopa Guildmage though it costs mana to get a trigger.
