Around about here (Central Florida), much hype was made in the news about it getting to freezing. Advisories about dripping your water, bringing in plants, etc. for it to reach only a paltry 34 F. Granted, that is cold for these parts, but being from Maine, obviously nothing new.

Forecast has us back up to 70s-80s end of the week again, so our theme has been less based on cold and more on unseasonably warm temperatures.

    What?

    Source?

Because that is a TREMENDOUS scandal if true, and yet I've never seen a word of it.

The only arrests I recall are the ones related to the Low Orbit Ion Cannon (ddos) project, the Paypal incident, and most notably, the LulzSec arrests.

According to a threat analysis by internet security firm McAfee, the decline of anonymous is due to a general decline in technological sophistication (possibly due to arrests of principle members) and understanding and preparedness for their tactics, though it could simply be a reduction in activity.

Anonymous would best be described not as a group, but a loosely defined collection of individuals with similar values and principles that (sometimes) act together against a perceived common enemy (or towards a common goal).

Whether they understand your point of view is in fact irrelevant at this point. Several admin and mods have weighed in several times and basically have informed you that despite you thinking you are in the right and justified, that this is not the case.

While I have no vested interest either way in what occurs as I seldom post in the ruling subforum, allow me to make two points:

    1. Your title of "Stupid Rules that have no logical purpose" is a poor choice to start a thread; whining about you being warned by a mod to then later try and claim that you wanted an intelligent discourse. The thread title alone is suggestive of a rant only because you didn't get your way, or disagree with the mods.

    2. If one person tells you you're wrong, I'd question it too. If several people, including admin and mods are telling you that you're doing it wrong, perhaps it's time to swallow a bit of pride and ego, and think about that either
    a. You are in fact doing it wrong... or
    b. These are not the forums for you.
In either case, continuing to rant and carry on that you believe that you are misunderstood, and that you are correct, and that other people posting just "don't understand you" would just go to further reinforce this.

Either way, these things have a way of working themselves out. Take this advice for what it's worth to you.

Local gaming store has Bant/Jund/Naya CMD decks for under MSRP, 24.99-27.99. Grixis is 54.99 and Esper is 49.99.

That's because this is Black Devotion. If you want to splash green, you're basically playing The Rock and there's a thread for that already, and it doesn't belong here.

Green splash is The Rock, Red splash is Rakdos.. Blue splash hasn't really seen any full creation yet.

You've missed the point. This isn't a thread for MBC. It's for black devotion and the OPs intent was to discus the core set of cards of black devotion AND the various splashing. That's why there's a breakdown of cards into other colors wrapped in spoiler tags in the very first post of this thread. In particular, my flavor of the rock has more card choices in common with devo than it does rock, thus posting it here.

hmm looks like you're trying to mix in a bit of reanimation to the deck.. well unlike some people in the thread I won't go and say THAT'S STUPID CAUSE IT HAS OTHER COLORS IN IT!

I would love to play MBC. .. and the card pool is almost there but not quite. A functional reprint of damnation would be nice. I've tested black splashing into each of the 4 other colors. I still hesitate to go 3+ colors because of mana issues and losing devotion more or less. I've gauntleted each variation and so far running it as golgari rock seems to work best, not only in matchups vs. popular decks (from here, modo, and minor tourneys) but against each other. I think it is somewhat naive at this point to consider black devotion as mono black and to take advantage of what splashing can help accomplish. So I would agree, discussing splashing (as OP also suggested) is not just warranted, but prudent. Each color offers unique options.

But if you swing with a rat as a 1/1 they block with a 1/1 you can activate the mutavault in response and make it a 2/2 is what you're saying? How often would you do that over just swinging with both though for the possible 4 damage

That is correct. It is impossible to provide a % on how often this occurs. It's strictly situational based upon the board state. If I am in a position to be aggressive; i.e. I've used my removal to clear their board, then by all means. If the board is stagnant with creatures, I wouldn't necessarily gain any advantage.

So you have to activate the mutavault precombat in order to pump the rat right. Like you cant declare an attack, wait for blockers, and then activate the muta/pump can you? I understand what you're saying but that also subtracts 2 mana from the mana pool if you want to activate mutavault and swing with the rats too right? Guess Ill have to play with them more

Negative. You can activate mutavault's ability as a response to declared blockers P/T. Because Mutavault when activated as a creature gains all creature types (including Rat), Pack Rat gets its bonus for another rat on the board. Mutavault takes only 1 to activate, so you need only leave that open to activate.

Correct, synergy with Mutavault allows for the rats p/t to jump on activation. Several lists run 2x/2x split deck/SB. Vs. Aggro, SB in the other 2 and create a rat army. With Underworld Connections running as card advantage, you can quickly overwhelm the board. The tokens are also copies of pack rat and contribute to devotion as well.

Anyone know how this deck deals with Fiendslayer paladin?

On the outside chance that you happen to run into it, can always Devour Flesh in your SB as an answer. Also works vs. Witchstalker and Gladecover Scout

You guys seem to think that this meta is wide and diverse and people are playing different decks from region to region. NEWS FLASH! They're not. There are about 5 competitive decks that you will see at any given event in any region. This side boarding for your meta game is a cop out. You build your main deck and sideboard to deal with whatever weaknesses you may have. That's it. It's not as complicated as you are making it appear, it just seems that way because no one has done a break down. New and returning players read this thread and can't figure out what to board when. That's all I'm saying.

As it would seem that you are tapped in and tuned to the meta nationwide, perhaps you could please enlighten us with your insight and contribute something other than useless banter and arguments about how we are all wrong.
