Oh, and talking down, posting aggressively and having a terrible attitude?

Looks like you don't read your posts either :p

You've lost the right to receive anything but the same bile you spit towards me back towards you. If you'll notice, I've pretty much shown everyone else in this game respect except for you. The reason I'm speaking to you the way I do is because you've talked like that to me all game. I don't really care about being nice or respectful to someone who isn't nice or respectful to me. You're a poor sportsman and a crappy person to play with. So you'll get treated with disrespect because you deserve it. You'll get treated like lying scum because I believe you are. Your actions since the middle of yesterday have completely voided the "misguided town" mindset I had about you when we were debating day 1.

Just so im clear, you had me on your last T/S list as scum, yet here you are claiming im possibly aggressive town?
Eeverytime someone calls you on your issues with me you revert back to putting me on the fence. If you want to call me mafia, stop chickening out of it.

Rolleyes This is getting ridiculous. You've obviously stopped reading my posts, even when you're quoting them. I very specifically state that I have a scum read on you. In the next sentence, I explain why I wasn't calling you scum during our "slap fight" as everyone is calling it; I thought you were being a misguided townie.

Let me clarify since you're too interested in painting everything I say as scum instead of actually reading my posts:

Day 1: I thought Generic is town, then he kept down talking, using aggressive tone, and had a terrible attitude behind his posts. Usually those are scum tells to me, but he had enough town posts to make me think he was town, even when he was arguing with me. I said as much in post #321.

After this, he continued pursuing bad logic, being overly aggressive, and trying to set up a mislynch on by completely misrepresenting my stances and posts. He's regularly twisted what I've said, even when I provide quotes saying exactly what I said. That's a scum mindset. Town doesn't need to constantly twist peoples wording to paint them scum, but scum do.

Both players you have as scum are Democrat. Do you now think it is all one party?

I have null reads on ITH and HRP, who are both republicans. They have acted scummy, but have also had town tells. Neither of them are clear in my head. I sincerely doubt all the scum are democrats, but that doesn't change the scum reads I have on Generic and TMCT. I've been really on the fence about Generic, because he often reads as aggressive town and he could just be a misguided townie. I think the remaining scum can be found in those four players.

I'm not sure how you want me to respond to the rest of your "points" against me. You quote a bunch of my posts where I make a case against and point out why DRP was scum in the beginning of the game, then say I never made a case against him. You say that my posts have been useless and the purpose behind them was to hide in plain sight; I don't believe that's true. I feel I was actively scum hunting by looking for reactions from people and getting reads on them to determine their alignment. When I got a town read on someone, I posted about it. When I got a scum read on someone, I posted about it. When I thought someones logic about a statistical based game plan was bad, I showed why it was bad and then posited my own.

Wheat_Grinder: Not many strong town or scum tells. Spent most of the game tunneling into Roo, but has provided ample reasoning for doing so. Most of his posts are jokes or explaining that he's on V/LA and will re-read/catch up. When he does catch up, offers stream-of-thought posts about the game that doesn't read forced. Was null read until his posts today. He's a Democrat that wanted a Republican president, then mentioned that today will be special after we elected a Republican. Hopefully has some game changing news for us today.

Where did the bold take place?

    D1:
    Quote from Wheat_Grinder

I actually want a Republican in power, believe it or not, but I'm fine either way.

    D2:
    Quote from Wheat_Grinder

ToDay will be special, yesterDay was not.

He breadcrumbed a power role that only could take action if the opposing party was in power, then the opposing party was in power and the day is now special.

@Mod: RP: HoT hasn't posted in two weeks, prod/replacement?

    My reads so far:
    Town:
Pinkys_Brain: Lynched Scum, town vig, pro-town mindset.
PopeRonPaul: Scumhunting, built and pushed case against Scum.

    Leaning Town:
Rogueofoz: Few town tells, tons of new player tells. More likely noob town than anything else.

    Null:
ImTehFairy: Offering input, picking up on many of the same tells from Roo and Generic that I am. Some of his responses to other players raise my eyebrow. Logically points out where I was incorrect in some of my assertions. General good play, but no strong town or scum tells.
HeroRP: Terrible play that would make no sense as scum. Too much early attention drawn to himself. Started hardcore lurking after being called out on his scummy behavior. Ton of scum tells, but B=became an "easy" lynch on D1, which makes me wary of pursuing that lynch.

    Scum:
Generic: Constant aggression, misrepresentation of peoples posts. Regular hypocrisy calling other people scum for doing exactly what he's doing. Calls anyone who disagrees with him scum. Gets angry when people don't consider him town.
TMCT: Strong early D1 scum hunting, very open about his reads. But then he goes after easy targets like Roo and Jonpike (Both clearly inexperienced players that easily flake under any kind of pressure.) Wanted to be elected D1, but never really campaigned for himself. Wanted to be elected today, but didn't campaign for himself. Wanted a Democrat in power (presumably for his own gain) instead of one of the two clearly town players that were Republican. Mostly scum tells so far.

Trying to not make this a wall of text, but in my short time i have available here is a summary case against bill clinton:

There is a whole argument from #292 backwards regarding my pointing to Bills opening of bullying people into the idea of the majority decision on a lynch(meaning a potentially mafia steered vote), and his use of cold statistical logic which masks actually looking for scum tells and feels more like filler to look active in the hunt without actually doing it. The arguments are there if you look back. But going forwards from there…

We've already gone over this: Nowhere in any of my posts could any of my language be misconstrued as "bullying." In fact, your diction and tone is more consistent with your own definition of bullying.
I stated a plan of action that I felt would be the best way to proceed, and that plan is exactly what happened (We elected a president, scumhunted, and the president then lynched the person a majority of us saw as scum.)
This is mafia; a majority decision on a lynch is the best way to catch scum. Letting one person make the call on their own without listening to everyone's opinion is not only bad play for that player, but it the other players in a game a free pass. It's better to have reads on every player in regards to a lynch than just one. Someone only acting on their own without the input of the town gets town killed. (Case in point: Pinky killing Jonpike.)
You say that a majority decision lynch means that it's potentially a "mafia steered" vote. Wouldn't electing a president potentially be "mafia steered" as well?

In regards to my "cold statistical logic": I've pointed out multiple times that I was using the math to prove a point in rebuttal to TMCT's post. Multiple players were following his logic, and I saw that was in error. He was saying that the president should kill outside of party, and I was proving that that there was a better chance killing inside. One of the reasons I decided to do this was because a majority of the town found two players of my party scummy: Rogue and DRP.
I have never said that the president should lynch anyone based purely on math, and have said that we need to be scumhunting, presenting and evaluating cases, and using our reads to catch scum. The math was only in addition to that.

Post #293 – Where I have to defend the unique ‘defamation of character rather than perceived scum tells’ post. Bill has said in a later post from here he doesn’t regard me as scum, yet spent all this time trying to make the perception of me negative, is that pro town?

At the time I thought you were more misguided town than scum, and since then your poor logic, crappy attacks, and hostile attitude has changed that read.

    Quote from Generic
Post #518 – Azraels arrival prompts a buddying session from Bill. Must be a threat to mafia players.
Azrael is hands down the best player on this site and an immensely fun person to play with. He's logical, structures cases well, and when he is town does a superb job at catching scum.

    Quote from Generic
Post #526, and #528. - Bill decides to fight pope ron pauls battle for him. This is suspiciously after he has seen the case pope put up against proph who we now know to be mafia.

I was defending someone who I saw as town from a bad attack. I'm not going to sit back and do nothing when I see someone making false accusations, especially when the person making those false accusations has been making them towards me all game. You consistently misrepresent other peoples posts, and I was pointing out that you were (again) in the wrong.

    Quote from Generic
Azrael lists bill Clinton in his scum reads along with popronpaul and prophylaxis (well, mitt Romney, but proph replaced him and is proven scum). Azrael is now dead. Pope as I have already stated is either a ballsy mafia player to press a case against a teammate when little was focused on him or he is genuinely town, and at this stage I have no reason to suspect him. That leaves Bill Clinton on that list.

Azrael had only caught up with the very first part of the game, a lot has happened since then that would have helped him solidify his reads.

I'm looking back through the thread at player interactions, and I'll get my reads up sometime this weekend.
I don't think that Pinky firing tonight would be a good call, and I'm more convinced that PRP should have a chance at the presidency.

I look forward to Pinky and Generic posting their cases against me.

I'm definitely behind a PopeRonPaul election today. I doubt that he would create and push a case against his scum leader. Pinky looks solidly town as well, because with the amount of suspicion on DRP, she could have easily chosen him as the lynchee instead of Proph.

    Vote: PopeRonPaul

Generic: When you say that Azrael was killed because the scum knew his ability, are you suggesting that they knew of his veto ability?

@Pinky: Sorry, I thought I did, I got a little derailed by generic's continuous ad homs.
DRP's awful logic, contradictions, and scummy play keep me thinking he's scum. It's just been so over the top his last few posts that I finally decided to take an objective look at his play and determined he's not the best place for my fos to be. Taking a closer look at Proph and the reactions to his play throughout the game, I realized that there's a lot more there in regards to reading other players than a lynch on DRP would be.

Yeah if we could get someone else in here that will actually read my posts and not just ad hom attack me, that'd be great.

You're being bullheaded and painting everything I say as scummy without actually reading what I'm saying. That, along with your crappy attitude and ad hom attacks is not only bad sportsmanship, but detrimental to the town.

You are trying to sell 'she more or less was willing to play ball' to mean ANYTHING other than willing to go with what the majority tells her to?

Bill Clinton, you make pro town plays and then go and do things like this, blatantly selling a defence on behalf of someone else!

He was a hypocrite, plain and simple. But your keenness to fight his battle for him is very interesting.

You're just spouting off at the mouth without paying any attention to what you're saying.

Your first sentence here says you believe that I am trying to paint RPR's explanation for keeping his vote on Pinky is that she said "she's going to go with what the majority tells her to."
That's obviously false and a complete mischaracterization of my post.
That entire post is me showing proof that Pinky never said that, so PRP didn't vote her for that reason.
You're calling him a hypocrite and I'm saying you're wrong. So you FoS me because you can't read and are wrong about something? Good for you.

The hypocrisy is to wield my belief in independent thought as a vote loser as if to suggest I am black balled for future election unless I compromise my beliefs, only for him to vote in a person who think the same way as me.
    Pinky herself pointed it out.

    Double checking this:
PopeRonPaul votes for Pinky in post 82 saying that he believes that she is "trustworthy character who believes in the Gold Standard."

At this point, Pinky's goals as president are:
Killing someone she thinks is scum, because people often don't listen to her. Post 9.
She also believes that: Town often go against the majority, scum would be in too much danger for going against the majority. Post 38.
And she thinks that Prophylaxis (Mitt Romney) is scummy. Post 80.

No where do I see her talking about going with the town majority -prior- to PRP voting her. So
    Quote from PopeRonPaul

She spent far less time in a meaningless debate with Bill Clinton, and also more or less agreed to play ball. You lost my vote as soon as you said you'd not lynch according to majority consensus.

is clearly not the reason he was voting her at the time he cast his vote. He was mostly stating why he never voted you while stating why he kept his vote on Pinky.
    In post 246, she says:
    Quote from pinkys_brain

My plan is to lynch scum, who looks like scum, get feed back, debate each case against those that people want to lynch and keep it as civil as possible.

Which goes along with him saying that "She more or less agreed to play ball" because she wasn't going to *just* lynch who she thought was scum, she was going to bring options to the town. That sentiment is a pretty great reason to vote her, and the exact reason I voted her.

Why don't you focus on the point about your hypocrisy rather than build straw men on off topic bull****.

There's not really any hypocrisy there. He's trying to build popular support for the lynch of a scummy player by analyzing their play, building a case, and displaying that case in a popular and common format. It's obvious by him asking others opinions about his case that he wants Proph to become the "majority target" so that they will be killed by the president.

@MOD: I'm fine with a midnight est Friday deadline.

In regards to the case on Proph:
I definitely see where he's asking questions that lead no where. Asking a lot of questions is generally considered a town tell, but that's only when the person asking actually responds to the answers given. Saying that "When someone posts a satisfactory answer, I see no reason to hound them about it" doesn't cut it. Not posting responses to people's answers looks like he never cared about the question he asked in the first place, which is indicative of trying to look like he is scum hunting instead of actually scum hunting.

I agree with this statement about his play:
    Quote from PopeRonPaul
Instead, he asks for a Vote Count, and decides he's going to do some vote analysis! Never mind that this game is not a regular game where votes are to lynch a player, he's a Helpful Townie™, and vote analysis is what Helpful Townies do, right?

It seems like Prophy has been doing his best to look like a "Helpful Townie."
He's asking questions, providing vote analysis, providing T/S lists. But it's all just surface and artificial. He hasn't been following up on his questions, or even posting what he's gleamed from the responses to them. The vote analysis, while potentially useful, isn't relevant until we have some confirmed alignments. His T/S lists consist of following the majority opinions on scummy players, while listing players as town for 'scum-hunting' (something that players of any alignment attempt to look like they are doing.) He's throwing dirt around often and casting light suspicion on people while leaving himself an out for when they flip town, but using rhetoric that he can claim he "knew they were scum all along" if they flip scum.
I agree that he looks like he's more interested in appearing townie than actually figuring out who the scum are, which is indicative of a scum mindset.

    UnFoS, FoS:Prophylaxis

We'll learn a lot more from a Prohylaxis lynch than a DRP lynch. Almost everyone in the thread has stated reasons that DRP is scummy, so we wont glean very much from his flip so far. Also, with his bullheaded approach about calling me scum, regardless of everyone attacking him, that he might be town. I think irrational bullheadedness is more of a townie tell than a scum tell, but his awful play, contradictions, and repeated scummy actions make me wary. I also don't like how easy his lynch would be if this wasn't Kingmaker. Seems like an easy wagon for scum to push a mislynch through. So we'll see.

Town again! What a Wookie Mobilization

So, how much time do I have to break the game on day 1 before the deadline hits?

Haven't read a single post this game yet.

Awesome, we've got Azrael in the game. If he's town, we just won the game.
Unfortunately he'll know who I am by the time he finishes reading. Good thing for the game, bad thing for my ego.

    Quote from Azrael

Granted, my role PM is speech that's like fifty pages long, and my scum buddy's names might be hidden somewhere inside there in a secret code involving invisible ink, the Enigma machine, and a Kellogg's decoder ring, but I'm pretty sure you can cut me from the list.

Especially after I use my magical powers to instantly win the game.

Who is PB inclined to lynch, so I can figure out if there's something y'all (not a sub-claim) may have missed?

This rings really forced compared to some of the joking I've seen him do before. Possibly because he wants that RVS feeling, but is too late to the party to get it from the rest of us.
He does have magical powers though, and if he were here earlier he'd have my vote.
    Quote from PopeRonPaul
Also: Hey Bill. My prophy case. Read and post thoughts please? Didn't notice you'd also posted since then, or I would have harassed you before :3

I've read the case once, and it looks like solid logic. Currently in the process of vetting it though and I'll hopefully post my opinion of it within the next few hours.

    Quote from Prophylaxis
Bill was null at the time because I had multiple town and scum signals come from him. I didn't like his earlier posts - they were an attempt to contribute meaningless content by setup gaming. However, after that, he started actually scumhunting, so I bumped him up to null.

My "earlier" posts were me positing that we should elect a president and find scum during that process, then lynch who the town thinks is the scummiest. So far that's exactly what has happened, so I don't think any of it was "meaningless content by setup gaming."
My middle posts were absolutely setup gaming, but it's far from meaningless. I'll be making good use of those numbers as the game goes on, and hopefully anyone that was paying attention will too.
I'm always scum hunting, because every reaction I get from my posts helps me determine alignment.
