Buy duals first. They are in constant demand and go up all the time. Mana drain isn't even legal in legacy. Academy and Will are probably never coming off the ban list.
Favorite Playstyle (Aggro, Midrange, Control, Combo): I will play anything, but Control>Combo>Midrange>Aggro
How Competitive (For Fun, Local Tournament, MTGO, PTQ/GP): PTQ/GP
Favorite Cards/Colors: Makes very little difference to me, I like blue though.
Budget: $500 on top of what I already have
Staples Owned: All the shocklands, 1 verdant catacombs, 1 birthing pod, 1 wurmcoil engine, 1 mutavault, 4 sphinx's revelation, 1 primeval titan, 1 river of tears, lots of common and uncommon staples.
Armored Colossus6 Artifact Creature - Construct (R)
Trample, Shielded 2 (Armored Colossus enters the battlefield with two shield counters on it. If this creature would be dealt damage, you may remove a shield counter from it instead)
As long as Armored Colossus has at least one shield counter on it, it is indestructible.
6/6
If this is in the wrong subforum, I apologize.
This is a plug for a project a friend and I have done/will do in the future. It is a mostly satirical series about Magic. https://www.youtube.com/user/magicthevlog
Check it out, let me know what you think!
Arcane MasteryUU
Enchantment (R)
Whenever a spell or ability you control counters a spell, you get a mastery counter. (A player with ten or more mastery counters wins the game.)
IIW: win-cons
Giving each other player a poison counter would be the same thing.
The other poster did, so this is probably a good deck for hir.

I would never remove a shield counter.
Right, because they either counter something or cast spells. But they have this instead of casting spells. If they don't need to answer anything.
