Chain Reactionis pretty cool. A fun card to use in response to the one mana tutor cycle is Predict. It mills whether you get it right or not, so it is good against black too. The small insurrection that comes with the pre con can be pretty fun, but i forgot it's name. Spin into Myth and Turn // Burn can be fun spot removal. Not sure what black adds, don't play it often.
I would go gruul or boris for aggro, but maybe I'm biased. Tajic works well with jokulhaups. If you want to use mass LD, green could be good at helping you recover.
Yeah, maybe its a bit harsh. I apologize. That was just my knee-jerk response. Ancient wonders isn't even particularly competitive, but even by those standards the deck is pretty nice.
That article made me lose quite a bit of respect for sheldon. Apart from vorinclex, the decks seem to be really fair normal edh decks. Isn't the second one just the exact same nekusar wheels deck that everyone runs? If that is considered a mean deck, than I want to know what sheldon considers to be a fun deck. White weenie? Craw warm tribal?
The one time i loaned out a deck was when we decided to put everyones decks side by side and roll dice for a random deck. It was pretty fun, and I suggest anyone who has problems with power level disparity in their playgroup to try it. Things have been slowly changing for the better since then.
I'm surprised that this is a problem too. Maybe I will nix the edh part and just call it a cube or do some sealed to try and make it easier for people to just jump in for now. On the 360 card deal, that means each player has 90 cards to build a deck with, which might be to much. I did build the cube with the one other person I regularly play with, who thought it was a good idea but doesn't want to play. Thanks for the input, I think ill try it again tonight. I have the packs pre-shuffled to try and reduce set-up time, so maybe I should get together as many people as I can and just do a normal 3 pack draft without the edh aspect. What do you guys think? My only qualm is that it is more of a battle cruiser cube, which focuses on midrange/fatties, because it was geared for edh.
I created an edh cube a month ago, and have had no luck getting anyone to play. Everyone always wants to play their constructed decks and isn't interested. Any suggestions? I feel fairly sure that once I can get someone to play it once they will want to do it again sometime, and if not then oh well, I won't mind too much. (This edh cube is for 4 players, who first draft 10 generals each and then 360 cards to build 60-card decks with.)
On jtms, i also thought that the target on your head would not be worth running him even if he was free. After playing with him due to the coercing of a friend in melek(i don't have a real one though) all of the abilities work together so well that if none kills it it you will skyrocket forward in advantage. in the proper board state he is my entire game plan occasionally.
The answer to all of your questions is yes. My melek build has a number of token makers and proteus staff to get talrand, sky summoner charmbreaker devils and the like out of my deck, with giant copy spells like rite of replication for finishers. The majority of the rest of the deck is instant speed removal which make great rattlesnakes when they are on top and mana rocks for ramp. I find that my version of the deck needs at least ten mana to be relevant, but i have a very slow meta. Once you get up to ten mana, you can start casting 3-4 spells a turn, netting massive card and tempo advantage while getting diviners staff, talrand, guttersnipe or charm breaker devils pumped up for the kill. Sadly, i can't post deck lists in this section of the forum, but scroll rack, brainstorm, mystical tutor and the like can all set up some really powerful turns. I don't currently play extra turn effects, but time warp seems good.
Have you ever had any problem with the caps of the paint tubes? My only really complaint for them is that my red cap broke, apparently its only held on with 5 small plastic struts. Wondering if this is something to expect in the future. cling film under the cap works fine for stopping them drying out though.

If you use it, try to get an okay from the artists of the two creatures.
