So, i'm looking for a deck box, that can hold a 100 card double-sleeved deck, plus around 50 single sleeved tokens. I don't need to carry dice in the box, and ideally not a massive box. Anyone know of anything like this? I use Dragon Shield sleeves, and I know some of the Ultimate Guard boxes aren't compatible with Dragon Shields.
I currently have a completely foiled out deck using Dragon Shield Matte sleeves and KMC Perfect Hard inner sleeves. I have not found a deck box by any manufacturer that will adequately accommodate it. However, if you are using thinner inner sleeves (i.e. KMC Perfect Size) the Ultra Pro - PRO Tower Deck Box does work. You could even use the lower compartment to hold your tokens. Definitely on the larger side of deck boxes though.
My personal solution (after moving to KMC Perfect Hard inner sleeves) was to pick up the Ultimate Guard Twin Flip n' Tray 200+. I store most of the deck in one compartment and the remainder of the deck in the other (with sideboard options, etc.). Wouldn't be an elegant solution to your problem, but is a possible answer.
Wow! This is an insanely subjective topic. Not to mention the innate complexity of the factors involved when discussing it...
So... without getting philosophical or writing a small dissertation... I'll just give an abridged point of view (i.e. my 2 cents!).
If you encounter a game loss that quantifies as "Fun" or "Not Fun", it isn't the card (or cards) that caused it. Rather it is due to one (or more) of the people attempting to co-exist in your current pod.
For years I've read (and heard) the argument of... EDH "Casual vs. Competitive". My response to that argument is that EDH is both casual and competitive (and so many other things!), but MOST IMPORTANTLY is a social format!
Keeping an open mind, communicating maturely, embracing a shared vision of what you all want... these are all key! And I can truly sympathize for those who are unable to play EDH under such conditions...
As for included cards, I feel like Mana Drain, Rishadan Port, and Imperial Seal are prime candidates (each have recently been reprinted as Judge Promos) for a reprint (obviously not all at once). There are many lesser value cards (i.e. Flusterstorm) that have reprint potential. I also think that we'll see some of the value cards printed in EMA 2016 reprinted in the next EMA product.
If I were a gambling man I'd wager Mana Drain and Rishadan Port are the big name reprints in the next EMA product.
Yes and no, it really depends on the venue. My local LGS has a fairly good reputation (i.e I'm not aware of any theft occurring there). However, if I were to attend a GP (for instance) I would be considerably more worried about my cards (regardless of value). I make a habit of checking my decks once I return home (to account for all cards) and also do not telegraph the value of a card or deck unless asked. Another thing is that I switch up what decks I bring with me each week (limiting myself to 2-3).
Another thing that I would like to mention, which is a bit tangential, are trade binders. Unless you're going to actively trade at your LGS (or where ever) do NOT bring it, don't leave it in your car, etc. I came to an epiphany about a year ago after discussing trade binders. I realized there was no reason to hold on to so much value that wasn't seeing play. I traded / sold off all the cards in the binder worth over $2. I made a pact with myself that unless a card was actively being played it had no place in my collection (i.e. decks). It was a rather uplifting decision.
Where the hell is Worldly Tutor? Green is my favorite color and I'm tired of dropping $6.50 for them, with no opportunity for new template and a foil. Dammit!!
This. The one card that I'd like to see in foil and EMA was the best chance. Maybe it made it in Conspiracy 2 or EMA 2018 or... who am I kidding. Sigh.
I recently acquired all 86 Planes / Phenomena and have picked up the side loading Ultra Pro sleeves. However, I am wanting a case to store these sleeved cards in. I'd love some suggestions from the community as I am finding very little online. A clear plastic storage case would be preferable (like your typical 2 piece Ultra Pro clear plastic card box), but I'm just looking to find any and all options at this point. Thanks in advance!
E.S.O.E.N. is an acronym for the motto Et Si Omnes Ego Non.
From what I know the origin of the motto is "written on the door of Philipp von Boeselager's home, highlighting the necessity of maintaining one's own opinion and moral judgment, even in the face of a differing view held by the majority (in particular, it refers to von Boeselager's dissent and resistance against Hitler during the Nazi dictatorship)".
Can we get the current list, at least? Kind regards.
Also, I wonder what is this thread's general opinion of Winter cube holiday foil dual lands on magic online? I really like them and their new arts and it's possible to make them on blank foils to play with in paper form. I own the real dual lands, but was considering making these foil 'proxies' to make my deck uniformly foil, any opinions?
Yeah. Currently the wishboard is...
Novablast Wurm
Containment Priest
Hushwing Gryff
Aven Mindcensor
Platinum Angel
Eidolon of Rhetoric
Spirit of the Labyrinth
Iona, Shield of Emeria
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
Peacekeeper
And ironically I made proxies of the exact duals you mention. They look good but they stand out against pack foils (as an example think FTV foiling vs. pack foiling). If you don't mind the difference then go right ahead. I prefer playing with the real thing in EDH, but I'm putting a proxy cube together (which are these duals intended home).
At the risk of sounding stupid,I don't understand what is the Living wish for in this Sigarda deck?
It's for the wishboard (i.e. sideboard). My meta allows for a ten card sideboard to use with wishes and such. I don't have the wishboard pictured, because it is ever changing and as such never gets foiled.

Hope my rambling helps...

Just my 2 cents.

It roughly translates to... Even if all not I.

As already mentioned... lighting and angles... and time.
I was waiting for my Judge Promo Flooded Strand to arrive before changing out that photo, but I went ahead and made a temporary update.
