That is some sexy art, to bad the card is nigh unplayable outside of standard. I kinda wish the FMN art were for cards with some eternal format playability. (And I don't even play them!)
Why the Reclamation Sage maindeck, did you find it better then a third Courser or were you counting on alot of GW devotion and Whip decks to fight through?
Temur Sabertooth was o.k., but not stellar. Not sure what I'd replace it with. I do like a ferocious triggering monster, and the Sabertooth is easy on the mana.
I no longer care about these decks, but that new Mom, explore and temple of the false god art is insane. Now we wait a few years to see the art for judges and costing a million each.
I reeeaaallly hope they don't drop the ball on this set. I want broken cards and multiformat staples. I want the Lorwyn 5 to be reunited, and not some "generic plane" set. Also the set needed to be called "Omega". And on another note, Kid jace kinda looks dumb, he just looks...meh. I know that it's in the story that he is young, but he underwhelming. If i saw him coming towards me I would not be scared at all.
There are better 3-drops then Squidies but the Monastery Siege is a good sideboard card, I think, versus abzan and other heavy removal decks.
@RealOG47, why run Frost Walker and whipies in the same deck. They seem to want to do different things, one be aggressive and one sit back and build an army.
@Everyone, has reality shift been that bad for everyone? I've yet to try it but it seems fairly good versus Courser.dec to know what they are getting as a 2/2. It also doesn't seem to bad with our own scrylands to save a creature from death.
I think Sultai just does this deck better with more delve spells and Tasigur to really abuse the graveyard. If you want to go the control route I would suggest drop all the creatures and go with more planewalkers. Also mindswipe is pretty bad and will only do things if you are ahead on board. It may occasionally kill a problematic walker, but not always.
But Frost walker is kinda...underwhelming to me. I'd rather have Rattleclaw or something since, as it was said before, Walker dies to tokens and nearly any creature. I'd like mystic or something else in the spot. I do agree with Xenagos though, since Mantis Rider is no longer in popularity.
But Temur Ascendancy makes the deck slower, even though it does grant haste, by messing up your curve. And if we want to be more aggro oriented then midrange wouldn't we want Nylea over Surrak. I'm wasn't trying to trap you with the questions but get other peoples opinions on those cards.
I think Reality Shift is amazing idea, and we bring in more hasters and fliers to go more aggressive and drop this Midrange shell. But I am iffy on Voidsnare maindeck as I don't see the reason to capitalize on the Blue maindeck since in doing so it may weaken our mana base. Now I have a few questions:
1. Rattleclaw or Caryatid in this new Aggro deck?
2. I don't think Frost Walker is good, It can't be Boon'd. How does it work in testing?
3. Wild slash or Lightning strike?
4. Dragon or Sarkhan?
5. Nylea or Surrak for trample?
Nylea is still in standard, have you thought of her over him. She even offers some lategame mana sinks in her pump.
I do agree that 4 copies of stubborn denial need to be in the 75, and that some number of mytics could also be in a deck with as many 3 drops as Temur plays. I don't think people should be looking at Kibler for temur decks anymore, they are all just the same decks with a few minor changes. And lately they have been getting worse.
But what if you don't have Yasova? Then Collateral Damage is a crappy Shard Volley. Remember everyone, we have to evaluate the cards in the worst light also.
I agree with lajube, enchantment removal, anger of the gods, surrak (if he's not in the main), Keranos, arbor colossus, d stroks, and maybe wild slash or magma jet if you aren't using Fate Reforged.
Have y'all thought of Polukranos, World Eater instead? If you really need that trigger then he is great and he is a mana sink.
