Don't take me too serious, I'm totally biased on the card. It gets expensive really soon, and best use of it, is destroying something your turn and on the opponents turns aswell, costing between 6GG to 10GGGG and the lifeloss accumulates fast.
Why you need to add Seedborn Muse and Power Conduit to the equation
And yeah, I'm looking forward getting a copy of Wave of Vitriol!
Tornado is a powerhouse! At least for me. Dropping this late game, pop something each turn, maybe remove a counter with Power Conduit - gets crazy with Seedborn Muse. Another great thing about Tornado is, when playing against randos, most havn't seen the card before and don't think it's that good at first sight. Also, the art is so weird, I can't not love it!
Speaking of Disenchantments, there is also Return to Nature. It's a beautiful design, but I'm not sure the exile-effect alone warrants an inclusion to my deck.
I could see Lignify being an okay card sometimes, if you like me don't bother turning creatures sideways but summons a big Hurricane instead, but there is almost always sac-outlets, this being a multiplayer format and stuff that does it better, so I wouldn't consider Lignify outside anything from PDH in all honesty.
Of cards not mentioned, I also run Unravel the Aether. I really like the card. It's cheap, and the library is usually more inaccessible then anything else.
Yeah, my build didn't really get anything new from MH1, but I do consider Collector Ouphe, just because I love hating on artifacts.
I also think Force of Vigor is a strong card, the value alone makes it good, but when we have something like Temur Sabertooth/Reclamation Sage and a bazzilion mana, does it actually matter?
Hmm, didn't even notice that sliver - I tend to look away when I see that creature-type. I just don't like them, really. But I guess we could play it, but I don't think I'm going too. The best thing about the Maniac is that he's so cheap. The best case senario would be dropping him, followed by Star of Extinction. Something that would cost 6RRR. So it's not like he's even that great, but he open ups for some silly plays which this deck is all about. I just don't think I need redundancy for this type of sillyness
Yeah, I'll be going to the new website. I really like this place, and I'm certain the mods will come up with something similar or even better.
Let me know how Archmage's Charm works out for you. I don't know about it. Occasionally it will give you a Sol Ring, and the draw 2 at instant speed can be cool too, but I'm just not sold on any of the modes.
Mist-Clan Ninja is a solid inclusion for this deck, but I'm also quite exicited about Watcher for Tomorrow. I'm not sure if I have enough flicker effects for it to really shine, but I'll give it a try.
How about Viashino Sandsprinter? The CMC might be rough, but I like that you can cycle it away, if attacking with it doesn't make any sense.
Cave of Temptation is interesting too. 5 mana for 2 +1/+1 counters isn't great, but it still tappes for 1 and eventually in late game it might give an edge to win.
So yeah Modern Horizons brings me...Generous Gift for my Phelddagrif, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician for my Jodah 5 color bishonen project, and nothing else for any of my decks. If only I played Lord Windgrace like everyone else in the world or did anything with my Sliver Queen besides laugh at other people's attempts to trade for mine. There's always core 2020 I guess?
I really can't believe what you are saying. This set brings so many goodies. It's been about ending cycles, giving us the full talismen, two new Sword of X & Y, the Horizon-lands is HUGE, the basic fetchland is a small gem a lot of decks want. And it's not only in the rare slot the good stuff is. There's many interesting stuff across rareties. I havn't put so many cards in my wishlist like ever.
I was surprised to read that article, and it made me quite sad that this place is going away. But on the other hand, it makes me glad that you guys are making a new place for us to discuss and I will be sure to follow. Really appreciate the effort and work you are putting into making this real. Thanks!

One of the best free sac-outlets in the entire game of Magic was actually printed at common. (It's Ashnod's Altar).
For protection there's also Undying Evil, Supernatural Stamina and Kaya's Ghostform. All cheap and the instant speed on the first two is rather strong IMO.
Another nice exploit creature would be Qarsi Sadist. It can just exploit itself and keep coming back to do the same.
Cave of Temptation is interesting too. 5 mana for 2 +1/+1 counters isn't great, but it still tappes for 1 and eventually in late game it might give an edge to win.
