Normally I greatly prefer Queller versions, but I know approximately what the meta will look like and wrath effects are just too good to play Queller. The meta will be something like this (based off FNMs):

I agree about the 4th Colonnade / 2nd Field / no Sulfur Falls issue.
I prefer 2nd Verdict instead of Explosives maindeck.

I really like 4 Snapcaster + 2 Azcanta + 2 Jace TMS as card-advantage engine, and Secure The Wastes maindeck.
I also think that 4 Snapcaster + 2 Clique + 2 Geist is a good setup post-board when you have to be the beatdown.

You could consider Elspeth, Gideon AoZ and Blessed Alliance in the sideboard.

    I really like his list.

He said on twitter that he really likes Avacyn except against Burn.

Opt becomes only better if you hit your third land drop, but that's a difficult task to do some times in our deck.

What is the relationship between "Opt better than Visions" and "hit your third land drop"? I really don't understand.

I like the article and the reasoning but there are 2 questions that I keep asking myself.

How many 3-drops should there be in sideboard? Friedman plays 8 (2 Return, 4 Liliana, 1 Kolaghan's, 1 Staticaster, not counting Explosives which is mana-intensive too) whereas many lists play only 5/6.

Is it better to run 17 lands + 4 Bauble + 3 Opt or 18 lands + 4 Opts to reach the 3 manas you need after sideboard?

Played a 50 man tournament last saturday and went 3-2-1.
Played a list with 2 TBR main, 2 Tombstalker, 19 lands, 0 opt, 1 Liliana TLH main and 2 Pia & Kiran Nallar on the Sideboard

    1-2 vs Skred And Taxes
    1-2 vs Jund Midrange
    2-1 vs Jeskai Tempo
    2-0 vs Burn
    2-0 vs Auras
    1-1 vs Counters Company

I draw with the company deck because I was too stubborn to concede when I should, and I really enjoyed playing Tombstalker, it won me games that I would've lost with angler such as the Auras, Skred and Jeskai Games.
Pia & Kiran was great against eh Jeskai deck but I couldn't test her much. 4cmc hurts a little, although I admit that we want her on the games that usually go long.

Do you have situations where you cannot cast Tombstalker :
    - because of its higher mana cost than Gurmag's (not enough cards to delve)?
    - because of its BB in casting cost?
    - because you need to keep U open to protect it with Denial so you have to lose a turn to cast it?

Yea, I won't deny that being able to counter some of their early ramp is nice, but spell snare is too narrow in that matchup. It doesn't hit anything that actually matters.
Yea, best case its nice, worst case its dead, and having dead cards in that matchup is terrible. Even shadow of doubt is at worse going to cycle, not to mention it can still hit scapeshift/prime time trigger.

Before siding out Snare, aren't Path or Electrolyze much more dead cards in that matchup?

So i went 4-0, 3-1, 4-0, 3-1, 4-0, 4-0, 3-1 in consecutive dailies on modo in the past 48 hours. back to the stock maindeck (it is absolutely perfect) and i'm confidant with these sideboard choices:

4 dismember (MVP v the r/g aggro list. great v twin. good v infect. awesome v pod.)
1 wurmcoil (bring it in v the aggro idiots. much needed v jund)
    2 spell pierce
    2 spreading seas
2 squelch or trickbind (whichever u prefer)
2 relic (idk about it really.. some sort of yard h8 is a nice option)
    2 spellskite (twin, infect, bogles,)

    modo handle: shoktropa

    Hello and congratulations!
Why did you dismiss ratchet bomb against aggro instead of some dismember to reduce the life loss?
Do you consider negate instead of spell pierce? A bit slower but always effective!
Can you give us your in/out against the principal decks?

    Regards

Thanks for the reply about sideboarding.

    JUND:
Pithing Needle is indeed for Liliana (or Ajani), eventually for Shaman or Man-lands.

So if I don't side in dismember against affinity, it only comes in against Twin and Infect?

If Path to Exile is such a problem, Chalice of the Void seems a very good sideboard card (I don't mention Spellskite which is already played).
For UWR or UW, we have access to 3 extra counters so counter wars shouldn't be such a problem?

I agree for the example of hands where Talisman is awkward but I think the ability to ramp with Talisman and Solemn against fast decks is important. We don't get Tron online very consistently so we might need to ramp. With your example of hands, against aggro decks such as RG Gruul or Affinity, yes you can counter on turn 2/3 something but you're already attacked by small critters and getting wurmcoil on the battlefield is more important than playing draw go.
I think that the "pitch to TFK" argument is not relevant (it reminds me the "pitch to force of will" in legacy to argue with blue pet cards). You just lose another card if you start to pitch Island and you depend more on TFK if you flood.

I much rather side in Ratchet bomb and needle instead of squelch against Jund.

    My current list:
    U-TRON:
    9 Island
    4 Urza's Tower
    4 Urza's Mine
    4 Urza's Power Plant
    1 Tectonic Edge
    1 Academy Ruins
    4 Expedition Map
    3 Solemn Simulacrum
    3 Talisman of Dominance
    2 Oblivion Stone
    2 Wurmcoil Engine
    1 Platinum Angel
    1 Sundering Titan
    1 Mindslaver
    1 Spell Burst
    3 Repeal
    4 Condescend
    4 Remand
    4 Thirst for Knowledge
    4 Treasure Mage

    SIDEBOARD:
    2 Pithing Needle
    2 Spellskite
    2 Ratchet Bomb
    1 Wurmcoil Engine
    3 Dismember
    3 Negate
    2 Trickbind (don't have squelch)

    WUR GEIST:
    +3 Negate -3 Talisman +2 Spellskite -1 Solemn -1 Repeal +1 Wurmcoil -1 Platinum

    JUND :
    -4 Remand -1 Angel +2 Needle +2 Ratchet +1 Wurmcoil

    POD :
    -1 Angel -1 Mage -1 Solemn -1 Repeal +2 Needle +2 Trickbind

    ZOO :
    +2 Spellskite +2 Ratchet +1 Wurmcoil -4 Remand -1 Thirst

    SPLINTER TWIN:
    +2 Spellskite +3 Negate -1 Mage -1 Repeal -2 Stone -1 Burst

    UW MIDRANGE:
    +2 Spellskite +1 Wurcoil -3 Talisman

    SCAPESHIFT:
-2 Stone -3 Repeal +3 Negate +2 Trickbind (for fetch)

    AFFINITY:
    +2 Spellskite +2 Ratchet +3 Dismember +1 Wurmcoil -4 Remand -1 Platinum -1 Titan -2 Condescend

    BURN:
    +2 Spellskite +1 Wurmcoil +3 Negate -4 Remand -1 Titan -1 Repeal

    INFECT:
    +2 Spellskite +2 Ratchet +3 Dismember -4 Remand -1 Titan -2 Condescend

Do you think something is incorrect?
If my sideboard technique is ok, Trickbind/squelch seems really meh compared with others sideboard cards...

Squelch can also be used vs decks with lots of fechlands to gain a big tempo advantage.

    - Except Wurmcoil, what is good to side in against JUND?
Pithing Needle for Liliana. Ratchet Bomb is a option to kill Bobs and Goyfs.
Squelch is ok to nerf fetches, counter DRS's first ability (also gaining tempo) and Liliana activations.

Repeal is the only way out of Stony Silence, but sometimes you have better options. Spellskite can blank a lot of their burn, Ratched Bomb deals with Geist etc.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm aware of the tempo gain but I don't really see decks where we have enough dead cards to side in squelch just for fetchlands.

What do you side out against JUND? Remand and?

Spellskite and ratchet bomb are dead cards if they resolve stony silence, that's why I don't understand why siding out Repeal is a good option. All white decks plays 2 stony silence or more and we side out our only card to deal with a resolved stony silence to bring in cards that do nothing if it resolves.

I'm also a fan of Negate instead of Spell Pierce. This was my first change when I gathered every cards. Except stony silence Smile on the draw, I don't see a lot of cards we want to counter on turn1. Negate is an hard counter and is never dead contrary to Spell Pierce.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry for my english but it is not my native language.
I'm new to modern and I really enjoy the streaming on this deck so I bought the cards I miss to complete the deck.

Sideboarding strategy is my main problem and I don't often understand the in/out of the streamers.

The general conclusions I had after watching streams are:
    - out sundering titan against mono colored decks.
    - out talisman against white deck (we don't really need ramp and it is dead in case of stony silence).
    - out remand against aggro decks (RG gruul, affinity, infect).
    - out repeal against others tron decks and control decks with few permanents.

    - in dismember against infect and maybe affinity (but 4 damages are huge against affinity, no?)
    - in ratchet bomb against aggro decks (RG gruul, affinity, infect)
    - in wurmcoil against aggro decks.
    - in spellskite against burn, splinter twin, infect.
    - in spell pierce / negate against Tron, WUR, burn and combo such as scapeshift.
    - in pithing needle and trickbind against Pod.

    I have a few questions:
    - Am I right on my conclusions above?
    - Against which others decks do you side in Trickbind/squelch and pithing needle?
    - Is there any deck where we cut on condescend?
    - Except Wurmcoil, what is good to side in against JUND?
    - Against which decks do you side out Platinum Angel?
    - why did people side out repeal against WUR Geist? Repealing stony silence or an angel from Geist seems good.

    Regards
    Nicolas
