Well another 3 drop that we probably want to run. Anguished Unmaking 1BW Instant Exile target nonland permanent. You lose 3 life. Very nice although 3 life it is steep on multiples.
I don't think that card can playable in this deck anymore as a 1 of to be completely honest. It's going to suck revealing that off of bob then paying 3 MORE life to use it. So essentially you're paying 6 to kills something. Then this is coming from someone who is maining painful thruths and bobs. So my life total is more precious.
As for Nahiri, I'm not impressed. Her loot ability is nice, but her -2 is OK at best. I wish it said just exile target creature and not tapped creature. He last ability doesn't really do much for us either, we have at most 10 creatures in our deck anyways.
Looks good & I like your card choices, but my first thoughts are about your mana curve. Your curve seems a little high (for a confidant deck) and specifically you've got a lot of 3's, which is a pretty common problem since Mardu has sick 3s, but you might want to trim back.
I'd think about moving your Painful Truths to the board or cutting them to help the curve a bit since they seem to be doing the same job as some of the cards in the board (namely Siege and Obzedad). Truths definitely doesn't have to be the cut but it sort of jumped out at me. In your list you might even try to go up to a 24th land (which also helps a lot with Bob) since you're packing 5s with more 5s in the board, and it would help with casting Brimaz & Lilly on curve. If you did it should probably be a Manland to mitigate flood.
I'd also consider cutting the double-red cards from your board since you really don't have that many red sources & the heavy Orzhov cards are probably better for what you're doing (Brimaz, Gideon, Lilly). I find that with double color cards in every color it makes it very hard to prioritize your land drops without taking tons of damage (never know what double color card you could topdeck). Flaying Tendrils can do a pretty good Anger of the Gods impression with the fringe benefits of ignoring things like Etched Champion, Burrenton Forge Tender, Auriok Champion, etc.
How's Rest for the Weary been for you? It seems OK, and I assume it's for Burn decks, but I'd think that you might get more mileage out of Timely Reinforcements or more copies of Lightning Helix.
Last thing is I'd probably try to make room for a 2nd basic Plains, maybe over your second basic Mountain; I tend to like having the basics needed to cast all of my spells under a Blood Moon.
Any suggestions?[/quote]Looks good & I like your card choices, but my first thoughts are about your mana curve. Your curve seems a little high (for a confidant deck) and specifically you've got a lot of 3's, which is a pretty common problem since Mardu has sick 3s, but you might want to trim back.

Agreed on both ends, I can try either moving a painful truths to the sideboard or taking it out completely. I'm just afraid that the bobs will eat the dust every time I play them which is why I slightly prefer truths over them. I could also cut a crackling doom. I may try that instead.

Yeah good point I just noticed that myself. I'll try a 1/1 split of Anger/Tendrils

It's been pretty sweet. Every time I've cast it with landfall, I don't think I came close to losing. My issue with timely is that I don't want to get skullcracked in response. EVER. I can try a 2/1 split today of Rest/Timely OR Helix and see how it does.
So here's what I'm thinking...
Mainboard:
-1 Crackling Doom
+1 Plains
Sideboard:
-1 Anger of the Gods
-1 Rest for the Weary
+1 Timely Reinforcements/Lightning Helix
+1 Flaying Tendrils
Would it be possible for someone to rewrite the primer page? It is outdated, not sure if someone could do this
I can since I'm the one who originally wrote it but I am a tad busy at the moment with college and such. Some time next week I can probably rewrite it.
WAZZUP PEOPLE! I'm back to this deck after a rotation through a few other decks, my latest one before I came back was BW Eldrazi. I have a good feeling that the lands will get banned so I built this again.
My God, I totally haven't been paying attention to Magic for the last couple of weeks and literally LOL'd at the Top8 results. I, for one, will be selling into the hype for my Eyes, Urborgs, and Temples. Maybe even Smasher and TKS. By the way, what is the best place to unload cards when selling into hype like this? Ebay?
Essentially. I mean if you sell to any other card retailers they'll give me a bit less.
Just a heads up guys, worship and painter's servant are spiking in price. I think these are going to be the sideboard cards of choice. Be prepared with disenchants, Ulamog and AiD.
We shouldn't have to worry too much about servant. We have 6-8 removal spells and 10 discard effects.
The RU and the Colorless versions however may have to worry a bit more.
I dont think its enough of a threat. 3 dismember MB and some list run 1 spatial contortion and 1 Warping Wail in SB. In addition to the slower 2 ratchet bomb MB and 1 in SB.
Sure, but if you're playing a blue deck you can keep in SOME counter magic to protect servant. Despite your counter magic being bad against their sets of caverns.
I actually bought the last two painters servants that were sub 30 usd. I think a lot of people saw the eldrazi threat and immediately ran towards the first janky card they could find to try and sideboard against it. I just wanted some for Teysa shinanigans so with eldrazi madness on top of it all I decided it was a good time. I have no idea how I'm getting the last two, though. Amazon or Ebay may be the only options left.
Too late man, I checked already Ebay is almost out of them as well. At least if you want them nationally and not from other countries.
Can someone explain why Painter's Servant jumped in price recently? Just this morning it was selling for around ~$10, but as of this instance the only option left are foils, and they're selling for at least $20. Am I missing something with it?
You name ANY color litterally, they can't use eye of ugin to search for anything or even use their temples to cast most/all of their eldrazi's since temple and eye of ugin says use this mana to cast/search for COLORLESS elrazi's or creature cards.
Do we have any other sideboard tech besides Leyline/Rest for the Weary/Timely Reinforcements against burn?
I went into the Regionals and lost to 2 burn decks and had leyline starts with 50% of those games and still lost due to Atarka's Command and Deflecting Palm.
Could Vampiric Links be the answer? Put this on Smasher and just go to town sounds good.
So since the Curse does not give -1/-1 counters does this mean when they go sac their finks and comes back as a 2/1 it would die immediately to the curse before melira's ability would trigger? I am understanding this correctly or am I over thinking everything?
TLDR: Does Curse of Death's hold stop their combo?

There's a lot of Merfolk, Burn, some Affinity, and a lot of more agressive decks in my meta.
What do you guy's think?
