Yes, there are a ton of people playing on Cockatrice now. It's kind of complicated to get the card database set up, but once you've done it it's pretty easy to use. You'll want to go to this site and download the Cockatrice client (downloads on right hand side of page about halfway down)

Once downloaded it'll prompt you to download the cards off the Oracle downloader. GO ahead and do that. It won't get all the sets, that step is last.

Then go to this link and register a username/password.

Last part is the (kinda) complicated part. You'll need to copy/replace your current Cards.xml file. How you find where your cards are is by opening the Cockatrice program, and clicking the "Cockatrice" menu button at the top left of the screen, then select the "Settings" option. That will bring up a page with 5 categories in the bottom right of that window. The one you're looking for is "Path to Cards Database"
(Mine looks like C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Cockatrice\Cockatrice/cards.xml, yours will probably look similar if you're on a PC, just replace the 2nd "User" folder in mine with what your computers' name is and yours should look somewhat identical. If not on a PC I can't really help you)

If you can't find the Appdata folder in the User (or your name) folder, you need to make sure you're "Showing hidden files and folders" To figure out how to do that click here for Vista, if you have an older operating system just google "How to show hidden files and folders" then follow those directions.

Once you're showing that folder you should see a cards.xml icon/file in that folder. Leave that open, and open an internet browser. Go hereand download the updated cards/tokens list. (It's the bottom of that first post, says "Attachments" download name "cardsandtokensM.zip)

Once that's downloaded, open it to see the cards.xml icon in the downloads folder. Click and drag that icon over to your icon sitting in the C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Cockatrice\Cockatrice/cards.xml folder, and drop it over the cards.xml file that's already in there. It should prompt you with a couple options, choose "Copy and Replace" or whatever the closest thing to that option it gives you is.

Once that's done, close the Cockatrice program, re-open it and Bam! You're good to go. Poke around for a few minutes to get a hang of things, it's really easy to learn. To learn the in-game UI just post in chat that you're new and need a walkthrough and someone'll open a game for you to show you how things work.

I'm Feverous on there as well, feel free to add me as a buddy if you catch me online and need to ask a couple of questions. Hope this helps.
