I can use different sleeves now which is nice so I don't shuffle them into my deck after every freaking game. Also Oversized commanders no longer have the issue of what if they get tucked....
You mean you don't already shuffle the promo oversized generals into your deck? -

E.S.O.E.N. posted a message on Commander Tuck DiscussionHmmm.... so everything in my opponents 99 can still be tucked? I'm fine with that. I typically use tuck effects (as with exile effects) to keep as many permanents out of my opponents graveyard as possible.Posted in: Commander Rules Discussion Forum
I politely disagree with some of the reasons for the change, but I can agree with the change itself. -

Hallucigenia posted a message on Commander Tuck DiscussionPosted in: Commander Rules Discussion ForumQuote from RxPhantom »With this asinine change, I think the RC has proven that they are completely inept when it comes the the stewardship of this format. Plenty of staples like Chaos Warp and Oblation are almost useless now.
Nonsense. Warp is still one of the most catch-all answers red has. I'll still run it if for no other reason than dealing with enchantments in R. Both still deal with gods, Avacyn and other indestructible nuisances. Both, as well as the tuck counters, are good meta calls against reanimator. Oblation still has the ability to draw you two cards at instant speed for three mana in white. All this change means is that they're less _blatantly_ good.
Overall I don't feel strongly about this one way or the other. My Shirei deck likes this, but I largely face more general-dependent decks than I run. That said I'm not too choked. I guess I'll just slap a Darksteel Mutation on Feldon then instead. Like all changes, it's an opportunity to try new things. -

Forgotten One posted a message on [[Official]] General Discussion of the Official Multiplayer BanlistReading this thread simply proves to me that there will be people up in arms no matter what the RC actually does...Posted in: Commander Rules Discussion Forum
This change affects so few cards that it is going to have little real effect on the format. Spell Crumple, Hinder, Spin Into Myth, Oblation, Condemn, Terminus, Hallowed Burial, Bant Charm, Chaos Warp, Warp World, Proteus Staff, and firing off a Repel-type effect in response to them cracking a fechland are all made a little weaker, but its not like these cards a now all somehow unplayable. You will see less Spin Into Myth for sure, but the other cards are all still great answers to problematic cards other than commanders.
Looking at the other side of this I can see why some people are worried that not having tuck available will allow certain "must answer" commanders to run rampant, but unless you were actively tutoring up your tuck effects each and every game in order to stop a degenerate commander then I don't see this actually being a problem. Tuck wasn't a sure-fire way to completely get rid of certain commanders anyway because of how much tutoring they ran so it will often just come out to the same thing in the end.
Overall, I think the extent of how this affects the format is grossly overstated. -
