I really want to buy a bunch of voice right now at $25 each. I have a feeling that GW will get some really good stuff in BNG to go along with the scry land that will push it back up to $40. That's an easy $15
I would keep a playset and sell off the rest. It's probebly hit its peak in the short term as born of the gods begins to get spoiled, people are going to be excited for colors and ignore mutavault. I'm guessing they will drop until born of the gods is released and someone uses them in a winning decklist, then they will shoot back up again.
Just a heads up, scavenging ooze is the lowest it's ever been right now at under 5 tix. I'm sure this will only go up as the other two sets in the block are released. I grabbed a playset plus a few extras to unload later.
It sounds like you have a bias against Kelly already. It also sounds like this situation might resolve itself. If you value either friendship, I would make slight nudges for James to be more involved with this new girl.
But to answer your questions; you have to figure out what you are comfortable living with. I have a friend that has a wife and kids and a girl on the side. Lying to him is just a way of bending the truth so that everyone is happy. Me, personally , I lie only in the most superficial manners. Everything else I strive to tell the complete truth.
There is nothing wrong with talking to someone when your currently with someone. That's the only way you know if you should value what you have or drop it and chase after something else. If your willing to chase, then you have your answer. The scummy part is when you cross that fine line. Talking is one thing but as soon as it becomes physical then you are cheating. As long as James breaks up with Kelly before he does anything is, in my book, ethically kosher
In my experience, white weenie does really well. banisher priests give Thassa and master of waves serious problems, and frontline medic makes attacking with the entire team every turn a situation they need to leave blockers for. Should be able to decide a game before they get the devotion for a cyclonic rift.
I've tried a green splash for selesnya charm and it works pretty well for me so far. All three modes are use able against black devotion. Demon gets exiled, nightveil gets trampled, or it provides another body if needed.
With that said, I'm not completely sold on it yet. I'm doubtful the inconsistency is worth the versatility.
Voice didn't follow normal trends, so it was hard to predict when the price would go down
Though waiting ~7 months to buy voice if bizarre, are you just playing budget decks all the time? Why not buy cards that you want to play with? Or are you just speculating?
The guy giving advice to buy stuff mid December doesn't actually play competitive magic, he plays children's games in the practice room. I guess if you're speculating that's fine, but if you want to actually use the cards for competitive play, sometimes you don't get to buy them at the floor.
I was mostly just referring to cards that would be good to pick up because they would be at their lowest. Some to flip later and some to use. But yes, I usually play the cheaper decks since I budget mtgo as a hobby and just got into trying to make tickets of the card market.

Anyone have some they want to sell me? I'm not looking for that much (around 50)
I bought a bunch of them at 8 and am waiting to see how high they might go
